Chapter 114: Spirit Veins and Spirit Stone Veins
After replacing his storage ring, Tang Yin did not open the remaining Gambling Stones. He decided to open the rest at a later date.
"Master, what are we going to do now?" Xiao Fei asked Tang Yin, who had basically completed everything he needed to do. Now he needed to create a new plan for the future.
Tang Yin thought for a moment and gave a vague reply, "Get stronger." He then brought out a map of the Drifblim Region he had paid 1 High-grade Spirit Stone for in Treasure Bank City.
Tang Yin searched for all of the Rank 2 Organizations near him on the map, it did not take long to find some.
There were many Rank 2 Organizations near the cave he was in right now. Tang Yin was looking for Rank 2 Organizations because they possessed Spirit Veins.
If the Qi of the world was thick enough in one area, it would take physical form. This physical form could be anything ranging from a heavenly herb to a priceless treasure. The most common were Spirit Veins and Spirit Stone Veins.
A Spirit Vein was the accumulation of Qi in a single area, this would create an environment rich in Qi which would allow any cultivator who trained in that environment to cultivate much faster than normal. The density of Qi in each Spirit Vein was different, this determined its value.
If a Spirit Vein had a low density of Qi, it would not be enough for higher-ranking organizations to occupy it. A Spirit Vein with a low density of Qi would most likely be inhabited by Rank 1 or 2 Organizations.
If a Spirit Vein possessed a high density of Qi, most nearby high-rank organizations would fight for it. Rank 1 and 2 organizations would not even be eligible to participate.
Most Spirit Veins would be occupied immediately after their discovery. Even if one searched for a vacant Spirit Vein, the chances of finding one would be abysmal.
Spirit Stone Veins were naturally formed in the earth, they were most commonly found inside mountains.
Similarly, the discovery of a Spirit Stone Vein would cause a war between different families and sects just to occupy it.
Once a Spirit Stone Vein was occupied by an organization, they would mine out the Spirit Stone Vein for all of its Spirit Stones. This was where Spirit Stones came from.
Mining a Spirit Stone Vein could make any organization instantly wealthy. However, the prerequisite was to be powerful enough to occupy it.
The Lei and Xia families from Treasure Bank City possessed their own Spirit Stone Veins. This allowed them to create Treasure Bank City into what it was now.
Although Tang Yin could just use the Spirit Stones in his storage ring, he was not willing. Spirit Stones were the currency used between all cultivators, having more was naturally not a bad thing.
Instead of using his own Spirit Stones, Tang Yin would rather use Spirit Veins to replenish his Heaven Devouring Abyss. The amount of Qi contained inside a Spirit Vein was very abundant. If he could Devour them, and use it to condense his spirit veins, Tang Yin’s cultivation would skyrocket.
"We’ll first go to the nearby Xu family." Tang Yin told Xiao Fei of his plan after looking at the map and making his plans.
"Why? What does the Xu family have?" Xiao Fei asked curiously.
"They are a Rank 2 family, they will definitely reside on top of a Spirit Vein. Even if the Spirit Vein is small, it’s fine for now." Tang Yin explained.
"Spirit Vein? What’s that?" Xiao Fei asked bewilderedly. Tang Yin brought out a book from his storage ring and tossed it to Xiao Fei. After quickly skimming through the book, enlightenment appeared on her face.
"The Xu family won’t just give up the precious Spirit Vein to us. How are you going to obtain it?" Xiao Fei expressed her concerns.
"Do you even need to ask?" Tang Yin casually answered her doubt with another question. Thick Killing Intent flashed in his eyes. Upon seeing this, Xiao Fei chuckled. She understood Tang Yin’s intentions.
"Um, Master, what about the Drifting Cloud Sect? Don’t they have a Spirit Vein as well?" Xiao Fei expressed another one of her doubts.
"At the time, I did not know I would need Spirit Veins. Besides, you already destroyed it." Tang Yin reminded Xiao Fei, and an embarrassed expression appeared on her face.
After a while, the duo left the cave.
