Chapter 1882: Chapter 1878: Ye Fan vs. Emperor Jun

At this moment, Ye Fan was still on Earth, preparing to face the powers of Pan Gu, Fu Xi, and Nuwa. This was an extremely dire situation for him, as he might have to deal with three supreme ancient powers simultaneously.

But now there was some good news: it seemed that Pan Gu and Fu Xi wouldn’t attack him. Although he wasn’t the chosen one, he was significantly connected to them, and could aid in averting the impending catastrophe. In such a situation, it was unlikely that Pan Gu would attack him to maintain the order of the living world. At this time, Ye Fan needed to consider how to define his relationship with Pan Gu.

He didn’t wish to become a subordinate of Pan Gu, nor did he hope Pan Gu would listen to him. Thus, he and Pan Gu formed a relationship of both friend and foe.

If at this moment Nuwa were to attack him, he wouldn’t have much chance to resist. He had to consider how to battle Nuwa, and it seemed Nuwa also wasn’t keen on getting involved directly. Nuwa always sent ancient cultivators she awakened to challenge him. First, there was Nu Ying, then Lei Zu, and Ye Fan didn’t know who would come next.

"It seems the master is about to encounter trouble again!" Xi He observed Ye Fan’s nearly completed cultivation, and suddenly remarked.

Xi He seemed able to sense the aura of ancient cultivators. Upon sensing another ancient cultivator approaching, she remarked accordingly, although Ye Fan wasn’t yet aware of who it might be.

Ye Fan said, "Staying on Earth continuously would significantly affect Earth’s stability. This battle will take place here first, and the next could move elsewhere, at least further from Earth!"

Nu Ying’s voice rang out: "Ye Fan, are you so arrogant and conceited? How long do you think you can hold on? Do you really think you can win this time? And there will be another battle?"

Ye Fan ignored Nu Ying’s provocation, while Xi He directly infused spiritual power into Nu Ying’s body. Nu Ying, suddenly tormented by this force, mistakenly thought Ye Fan had acted, and she cursed, "Ye Fan, you coward, if you have the guts, kill me!"

"Madwoman, why would I want to fight you? Instead, I consider using you as bait to attract more people, perhaps many wish to rescue you! You should feel fortunate, for you still hold a certain value now..." Ye Fan said, "Typically, a loser holds no value, even an ancient cultivator is no exception!"

Nu Ying, being tormented by Xi He’s spiritual power, wanted to say something but found herself utterly powerless to resist.

Ye Fan walked downstairs, almost simultaneously as a man’s figure descended. This man was dressed entirely in white, appearing very elegant and youthful. Ye Fan didn’t know who he was, so he asked, "Are you Shun?"

"Shun? I am not!" the elegant man replied, "Do you think I’m his man? It seems, she’s not worthy to be my woman!"

The man’s words were directed at Nu Ying, who was still being tormented and had no energy to see who arrived. Xi He said, "Master, this person ranks fourth among the ancient powers, he is Emperor Jun!"

"Oh!" Ye Fan nodded slightly, as if only slightly surprised, without any noticeable reaction. This seemed to disgrace Emperor Jun.

Emperor Jun said, "You are Ye Fan, right? Upon my awakening, yours was the most mentioned name. As a human cultivator, you’ve reached unprecedented levels of cultivation, but why do I sense a seal within you? Is it Nuwa, or Pan Gu, or perhaps Xi He? Your power is certainly not self-sealed... It seems human cultivators still bear significant, insoluble defects!"

"Are you here to ridicule me?" Ye Fan coldly said, "Since you’re here to cause me trouble, then stop wasting time, let’s begin!"

Emperor Jun slightly frowned and said, "Begin what?"

"Of course, to battle. I’m going to kill you!" Ye Fan declared.

"Haha!" Emperor Jun appeared very pleased, "You, Ye Fan, seem not to understand your limits. Don’t you know your power has been heavily sealed? I admit, originally your elemental power was high, far exceeding ordinary ancient powers, but even then, the difference in cultivation between us was significant. Now... the gap is even wider. You have no chance against me. Fighting you is truly unfair; there’s no sense of accomplishment in killing you!"

"But I want to kill you! Let it be my own overestimation, is that permissible?" Ye Fan held the Fire Dragon Sword, ready to face off against Emperor Jun.

Emperor Jun shook his head, "The defects among human cultivators are numerous; no wonder Lady Nuwa harbors dissatisfaction toward them. She seeks to reshape order, and indeed, with such immense flaws, how can you expect to counter the celestial calamity? Such arrogance, always eager to fight, do you really think anyone can be defeated? Truly shallow! Xi He, don’t you remind this human, Ye Fan, to have a little self-awareness?"

Xi He shook her head, "Emperor Jun, even if you are an ancient power, you have no right to command me. Perhaps you forget: you lack the authority to mobilize all cultivator forces, merely a dog under Nuwa or Pan Gu!"

"Do you aim to provoke me, as if I wouldn’t know?" Emperor Jun asked, "But since Ye Fan insists on courting death, I will oblige. Let’s spar and see his true level of cultivation. If I kill him, don’t regret it, for your Blood Oath binds you both; if he dies, you perish, and so does Xuan Nu... but then, you probably don’t care!"

As he spoke, a weapon appeared in Emperor Jun’s hand. It looked like a staff, but entirely made of dark ice, indicating he practiced Yin attribute cultivation.

This partly explained Emperor Jun’s delicate appearance, as he carried inherently feminine elements and wielded power typical of female practitioners. Yet, being ranked fourth among ancient powers meant his cultivation posed a significant threat, surpassed only by Pan Gu, Fu Xi, and Nuwa.

Ye Fan thought, "My elemental power cannot be unleashed now; during the last two battles, I nearly exhausted my strength to defeat Nu Ying and Lei Zu, and now facing Emperor Jun, the battle level is elevated by at least a few tiers. One misstep could mean death!"

Considering this, Ye Fan became even more cautious, for he bore responsibility for his own survival.

"You go first," Emperor Jun finally said politely, akin to a senior showing humility to a junior.
