Chapter 422: Chapter 420: Child of Destiny

At this time, a hundred-meter-tall humanoid creature stood at the entrance to the Abyssal Plane.

The creature wore a suit of massive black Armor and held a giant scythe forged from some unknown material. Its silent presence alone made it seem like the very core of the world, exuding an oppressive aura as heavy as a mountain.

But the most terrifying feature was the single horn on its head. A black light swirled around it, making it seem as if the surrounding Space was on the verge of shattering.

Behind it stood a dense horde of Mutated Zombies. Zombies are typically chaotic and disorderly, and even those that mutate and cooperate are no exception.

But now, these Mutated Zombies were arranged in neat formations, just like a human army.

They hardly dared to breathe. Their intelligent eyes were all fixed in terror upon the towering figure before them.

"My, my, Hundred Refinements. Still as strict as ever with your underlings, I see!" At that moment, a flirtatious laugh echoed.

Simultaneously, a humanoid figure approached slowly from the distance. While far away, the figure was immense, but it shrank continuously as it drew nearer.

Eventually, it transformed into a human woman with fair skin, a stunning figure, and gorgeous features.

"Charm King, you’re late," the Hundred Refinement Demon King’s voice rumbled. "And stop taking on the appearance of these human insects. It disgusts me." As he spoke, a wave of oppressive power radiated from his body.

Under this pressure, many of the Mutated Zombies behind him collapsed to their knees with a series of heavy thuds.

The Charm King, however, seemed to feel nothing at all. A coquettish smile graced her lips. "Oh, come now. Isn’t it perfectly normal for a lady to be a little late? Besides, I had a very good reason!"

As her deceptively pitiful voice rang out, the eyes of the Mutated Zombies behind the Hundred Refinement Demon King instantly glazed over. In that instant, they seemed to lose all fear of the Hundred Refinement Demon King and began to shuffle step by step toward the Charm King.

"Hmph! Don’t use your Charm Technique on me," the Hundred Refinement Demon King snorted. "The time to launch the ’Extermination Plan’ is fast approaching. Have you finished gathering your intelligence? If anything goes wrong on our side, neither of us will be able to bear Lord Divine King’s wrath."

"I was just about to give it to you! You should know, while I’ve charmed plenty of powerful humans, it’s not easy for them to transmit information across planes. I paid a hefty price to get my hands on this data!" As the Charm King spoke, specks of light gathered on her slender finger before flying toward the Hundred Refinement Demon King.

The Hundred Refinement Demon King extended his massive palm. A suction force emerged from it, drawing the specks of light into his grasp. After observing them for a moment to confirm they were safe, he pressed them to his head.

As he absorbed the information, his brow furrowed on his otherwise impassive face.

"Given the defensive deployments around this Abyssal Passage, I’m afraid I’ll lose a tenth of my forces just to transport enough troops to complete the plan," the Hundred Refinement Demon King couldn’t help but remark after finishing. "Is such a high price really worth it, just to exterminate a few little insects who haven’t even reached the Blood Qi Realm?"

"Of course, it’s worth it. You must understand, among the myriad planes, Earth is one of the three great ancient ones."

The Charm King’s flirtatious demeanor vanished as she spoke with grim seriousness. "The humans it nurtures are born with awakened intellect, even as mere infants. Their potential is greater than even that of the Demon Emperor clan of our own plane."

"What does their potential matter? In three years at most, the Heaven and Earth Rules of our two planes will completely fuse."

"At that point, Earth’s Rule Power will no longer be able to repel us. I’ll be able to slap those Divine Demon Realm Martial Artists to death by the handful," the Hundred Refinement Demon King said, his tone still thick with contempt.

"But have you considered how long it took us to reach the Divine Demon Realm through Cultivation, starting from when we were weak? Even with my talent, it took a full one hundred years. It likely took you even longer, didn’t it?"

"But these humans? The least talented among them can reach the Divine Demon Realm through Cultivation in ten years at most. According to my intelligence, their most prodigious genius went from an ordinary person to the Divine Demon Realm in just five years."

"If we give them another three years, who knows what heights these humans will reach? What’s more, as the Heaven and Earth Rules of our planes continue to fuse, their Cultivation speed will only accelerate. That’s why exterminating their geniuses is an absolute necessity," the Charm King said.

"Didn’t Lord Divine King use an Ancient Secret Technique to place a seal on Earth’s Heaven and Earth Rule? It should prevent those humans from ever touching the Rules, capping their progress at the Divine Demon Realm."

"Furthermore, we’ve even misguided their entire system of cultivation. Under these circumstances, it should be impossible for them to break out of this cage," the Hundred Refinement Demon King retorted.

"Sigh... do you ever think about anything besides Cultivation and combat? If things were really that simple, why would Lord Divine King have issued this order?" the Charm King said with a soft sigh.

At this, a flicker of doubt and astonishment finally appeared on the Hundred Refinement Demon King’s massive face.

"What do you mean by that?" he asked, his voice low and serious.

"Earth is one of the three great ancient planes. Do you really think it will be so simple for Lord Divine King to devour its Heaven and Earth Rule and take that final step?"

"I’ve read through many ancient records. Based on the history of our Abyssal Plane’s conquests, whenever a plane is on the verge of annihilation, it always gives birth to a supreme expert."

"The reason is that when calamity looms, the Heaven and Earth Rule will concentrate the entire plane’s fortune into a single individual, giving birth to a Child of Destiny."

"And a while ago, Lord Divine King sensed a disturbance in Earth’s Heaven and Earth Rule. It’s highly likely that the Child of Destiny has already been born."

"It’s not surprising for unimaginable things to happen around someone born with such immense fortune. That is precisely why this ’Extermination Plan’ was initiated," the Charm King explained.

’She was also afraid that if she didn’t explain things clearly, he wouldn’t take this mission seriously, which would cause the plan to fail.’

"I understand." After a long silence, the Hundred Refinement Demon King nodded.

"Good. According to the plan, we will attack through all twenty-three Abyssal Passages simultaneously in one hour. Get your forces ready. You must send a sufficient number of Mutated Zombies through," the Charm King ordered.

As her voice faded, her body began to dissipate. What had come here was merely one of her avatars.

Her main task in this operation was to coordinate with all parties, ensuring that every king-level powerhouse who received the order would attack at the exact same moment, giving the humans on the other side of the passages no time to react.
