Chapter 374: Chapter 374: Crazy Point Grinding

At that moment, everyone present stared at Lin Xinghai. After a long pause, they confirmed that he wasn’t joking—he really intended to do it.

"What a bold move, Boss! We should go turn this whole thing upside down." Little Fatty was suddenly filled with bravado—or perhaps, he was just eager to see the world descend into chaos.

The main reason for his enthusiasm, however, was that Lin Xinghai had just said he would be acting alone instead of bringing them along. Otherwise, Little Fatty would have been singing a very different tune.

After his burst of emotion, he quickly added, "Boss, you don’t need to borrow my Credit Points. Just take them. I’m already satisfied with getting a spot as a Special Class Student."

"That’s right! Brother Lin, feel free to take my Credit Points too," Jin Tong chimed in at once.

Neither of them was a fool. Even though they would receive the Credit Points if they truly made it into the top ten, they both knew exactly where those points came from.

Since Lin Xinghai could give them a spot in the top four, he could just as easily give it to someone else. It really wouldn’t be worth it to create a rift in their relationship with him over some Credit Points.

As for Liu Miaomiao, she didn’t say a word. If Lin Xinghai needed anything, she would give him everything she had.

Lin Xinghai thought for a moment and didn’t refuse. He understood what they were thinking. Seeing how tactful they were, he made them a promise. "If you run into any trouble at the academy in the future, you can always come to me, as long as you haven’t made some fundamental mistake."

Hearing Lin Xinghai’s words, both of them were overjoyed.

For the next while, the group chatted idly as they slowly waited for their stamina to recover.

Half an hour passed quickly, and by then, their stamina had fully recovered. This was the powerful regenerative ability of the Optimized.

Of course, it would be even more incredible if they could break through to the Blood Qi Realm. With ordinary stamina consumption, a full recovery would only take about ten minutes at most.

During the half-hour they rested, the rankings on the leaderboard were changing almost constantly.

The fight for the top 100 was especially fierce. After all, the people capable of breaking into the top 100 were all true geniuses, and none of them would concede to another.

In just half an hour, Liu Miaomiao and Jin Tong had been pushed out of the top 200. As for Little Fatty, he had dropped beyond 500th place.

So when Lin Xinghai announced it was time to move out, Little Fatty was practically the first one out the door.

By this time, another horde of Zombies had gathered outside, but Little Fatty didn’t flinch, charging straight at them.

He had caught a glimpse of Lin Xinghai slightly raising the tip of his spear out of the corner of his eye—a telltale sign that he was about to attack.

SWOOSH!

Activating his Speed Superpower, Lin Xinghai’s figure blurred into an afterimage, instantly rushing into the horde of Zombies. Blood sprayed as one Zombie after another had its skull pierced.

As Lin Xinghai began his slaughter once more, the students watching the leaderboard suddenly saw the Points next to the frontrunner Lin Xinghai’s name begin to jump wildly.

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, his Points quickly increased by a few, then a dozen, then dozens, then over a hundred.

When Lin Xinghai’s Points skyrocketed by over a hundred in just one minute, everyone who witnessed it was left completely dumbstruck.

They knew Lin Xinghai’s Point-farming speed would be fast, but they never imagined it could be *this* fast.

Keep in mind that Yan Feijie, ranked second, had been desperately grinding for Points for the past half an hour and had only managed to increase his score by a little over 300.

In other words, the Points Yan Feijie had earned in half an hour of frantic effort could probably be surpassed by Lin Xinghai in just three or four minutes.

Just then, Yan Feijie had just led his team to finish off a wave of Zombies and was about to check how many Points he had gained.

As a result, he witnessed the entire thing from start to finish.

’Impossible. How could his Points be rising that fast? Unless...’ At this thought, Yan Feijie couldn’t help but swallow. ’Unless he’s killing more than half of the Zombies in the hordes he encounters all by himself.’

Take the horde they had just faced, for example. If he had been able to single-handedly kill more than half of them, his Points would have shot up by over a hundred as well.

Of course, with his level of strength, killing that many Zombies wasn’t impossible.

But it would require him to unleash his Superpower without reservation, and a single fight like that would probably deplete all the Energy in his body.

Besides, he couldn’t kill as quickly as Lin Xinghai. He estimated that it would take him at least five minutes to deal with over 50 Zombies.

But for Lin Xinghai to be gaining so many Points, it was clearly just his normal method of operating.

As he mulled over these things with complicated feelings, the Points next to Lin Xinghai’s name, which had been static for less than two minutes, began to jump rapidly again.

Clearly, he had found another horde of Zombies...

Watching the constantly climbing Points, Yan Feijie fell completely silent.

A full five minutes passed before he finally shut off his Communication Wristwatch.

"Let’s rest," Yan Feijie said. "There’s no need to rush to clear out Zombies anymore. We’ll focus on a steady approach and conserve our strength for the final day to fight for the Energy Balls."

He was, quite clearly, being forced to change his strategy.

And this wasn’t just happening to him. The other geniuses who had intended to compete for the Special Class Student spots also fell silent as they watched Lin Xinghai’s insane Point-farming spree.

There was nothing to be done. When the gap in ability becomes too large, the desire to compete gradually fades away.

Soon, these top-tier student teams found their own rhythm again. Lin Xinghai’s momentum in farming Points, however, was as ferocious as ever—if not even more so.

This was because he had previously been focused purely on practicing his close-combat skills and improving his Superpower proficiency.

As such, Lin Xinghai hadn’t been deliberately trying to maximize his Points.

But now that he had set the goal of sweeping the top four spots on the leaderboard, farming Points had become essential.

The more Points he accumulated, the greater his margin for error would be for his later plans.

After all, the Energy Balls were limited, but the Zombies in Dong’an City were limitless—at least, they certainly couldn’t kill them all in three days.

Lin Xinghai led his group on a continuous slaughter until 6:00 PM, stopping only as the sun was about to set.

They had rested until 3:30 before continuing to farm Points, which meant Lin Xinghai had been killing Zombies for another two and a half hours straight.

However, the Points he gained in those two and a half hours were even more terrifying than before: nearly 20,000 Points.

His total on the leaderboard now stood at a staggering 30,642 Points.

Considering the assessment had started at noon, this was all accomplished in just half a day.

If Lin Xinghai could maintain this incredible Point-farming efficiency, he could probably take first place on the leaderboard without even needing to fight for the Energy Balls.
