"Excellent! Your words put my mind at ease. When the time comes to establish the base, you must come back and help defend against the zombie tide!" Wei Tianxing said bluntly, not beating around the bush.
"Defend against the zombie tide?" Lin Xinghai was a little baffled. ’What does establishing a base have to do with defending against a zombie tide?’
Wei Tianxing seemed to notice Lin Xinghai’s confusion and began to explain. "It’s like this. As you know, the base will be built on the surface. When that happens, everyone living in the Shelter will move up there."

"Why are you up so early? You should’ve slept in a little," Lin Xinghai said, walking over and wrapping an arm around her waist.
Liu Miaomiao’s face instantly turned red. The truth was, she had also been woken up when the Communication Device rang that morning. But thinking about what had happened the night before, she had been too embarrassed to do anything but pretend to be asleep.

Seeing his earnest expression, Liu Miaomiao could only nod obediently.
In truth, Lin Xinghai really didn’t have much to do. After saying goodbye to Liu Miaomiao, he first headed to the Mercenary Corps’ main base.
