To his relief, Xiao Xiao was unharmed.

"Young Master, Young Master! I thought you were still with the Zheng Family. I was just about to come and save you!"

Seeing that her Young Master was also fine, Xiao Xiao breathed a sigh of relief as well.

Ye Qingchen shook his head. "I ran away from them as soon as I realized you were gone. I couldn’t find you anywhere; it scared me half to death!"

Upon hearing this, the Demon Beast King recalled something. Even while controlled by the Demonic Qi, he hadn’t completely lost his memory; he still retained a few fragments of what had happened.

"Human! For years, the Monster Beasts of our back mountain have coexisted peacefully with your people, each minding our own business. We were forced into this situation! I will order my Monster Beasts to withdraw, and you should withdraw your people as well! This way, the losses on both sides won’t be too great."

Xue Feng naturally accepted this proposal. However, he didn’t leave so easily. He walked up to the Demon Beast King with a serious expression and said, "Wait a moment. I have one more question for you."
