When Zheng Xiao heard her father say there was something wrong with her head, she couldn’t sit still any longer.

"Dad, how can you say that about me!"

Zheng Ming finally lost his patience and slapped her. "You shut your mouth! You don’t have a say here!"

Zheng Xiao covered her face, looking at her father in disbelief. He had never hit her before in her entire life.

Zheng Ming looked at his daughter in exasperation.

This man before us is from the Xue Family, representing the entire clan! And my foolish daughter dares to talk back to him! She’s so blind! If this lord were to actually hold a grudge against our family, we would be finished. Not only that, but the Zheng Family might cease to exist in the Western Region!

"My lord, please don’t mind my foolish child," Zheng Ming said with a flattering smile. "Rest assured, we have absolutely no intention of questioning you. I was just a bit surprised!"

He had never seen this lord before. His name was Xue Feng, but the fact that the Xue Family had sent him indicated that he held a certain status within the family. After this was all over, they absolutely had to invite this lord to their home and host him properly.

However, Xue Feng merely glanced at him before turning and heading toward the front line.

"Dad, is that lord out of his mind?" Zheng Xiao asked, walking up to her father angrily as she watched Xue Feng go off to fight. She had just been furious before; now that she had calmed down, she didn’t blame her father.

Zheng Ming glared at her fiercely. "You’d better keep your mouth shut! We don’t know that lord’s true strength. What if he can hear you?"

Zheng Xiao looked forward in disbelief. "We’re at least ten kilometers away from the front. How could he possibly hear us from so far away?"

Xue Feng waved his hand at them. "We need to speed things up! We still don’t know what caused this stampede, but it’s going to get dark soon. If we don’t resolve this before nightfall, I’m afraid something else might happen."

Xue Feng’s concern was not unfounded. After dark, the energy of some nocturnal Monster Beasts would surge, making them much harder to deal with.

"Then what should we do, Lord Xue?"

"Set up the Trapped Beast Formation!"

At Xue Feng’s command, his people sprang into action. A group of them surrounded the center, holding various weapons. With clear roles, they quickly took their positions. Soon, the Trapped Beast Formation was complete.

The Trapped Beast Formation could ensnare most Monster Beasts. However, it would collapse if attacked by a powerful one, which was why Xue Feng hadn’t ordered them to use it to kill the monsters immediately.

Xue Feng stood at the forefront, staring at the monsters before him and snorting coldly. "You beasts, your end has finally come!"

The men behind him all looked toward him, their eyes filled with anticipation. They knew Xue Feng’s strength. With him present, they were confident they could handle this quickly. Besides, this time, their only targets were these Monster Beasts.

The monsters let out fierce roars, their gazes fixed on Xue Feng. They were fearless and highly intelligent.

Xue Feng gestured. "Begin!"

With that, he led the charge into the swarm of Monster Beasts. Their attacks were powerful and their coordination was flawless. Soon, the monsters began to sustain injuries. The men around Xue Feng were invigorated by the sight, and their fighting became even more intense.

Monster after monster fell. Any that entered the Trapped Beast Formation could not escape the onslaught from Xue Feng and his men. They were incredibly powerful, each person coordinating perfectly and making almost no mistakes. Soon, the monsters had suffered heavy casualties, their bodies strewn across the ground.

And yet, Xue Feng remained unscathed. There wasn’t a single scratch on him, not even a stain on his clothing. Although the monsters’ attacks were strong, they posed no threat to him.

Xue Feng glanced around and said nonchalantly, "We’ve dealt with most of the low-level Monster Beasts. The ones left are powerful, so the Trapped Beast Formation is probably useless now. Withdraw the formation!"

Hearing his command, everyone ceased fighting and dismantled the formation.

Seeing this, the higher-level Monster Beasts charged forward in a rage, wanting to tear these despicable humans to shreds. They were incredibly fast, reaching Xue Feng and his group in an instant.

Xue Feng’s figure swiftly dodged as his weapon cleaved through the oncoming Monster Beasts, slaying all in their path. But there were too many monsters to kill them all. Soon, another wave charged.

At this moment, Xue Feng’s expression changed slightly. "You all retreat!"

"Yes!"

As his voice fell, everyone immediately fell back. The monsters, their target now solely on Xue Feng, were upon him in a flash.

Xue Feng’s sword swung out rapidly. With a quick movement, he evaded the monsters’ attacks. After their attacks missed, they pounced again. Their teeth were razor-sharp, capable of tearing through metal, and their claws were sharp enough to shatter stone. They were ferociously relentless, giving Xue Feng no chance to catch his breath.

Just then, Xue Feng’s figure suddenly blurred and vanished. The monsters looked around but couldn’t find any trace of him.

Then, a huge shadow suddenly fell over their heads.

Before a monster could even react, its head was blown to pieces.

"ROAR!"

The monsters shrieked in agony and scrambled back.

"I’ve realized something is wrong," Xue Feng said as he rejoined his men. They immediately focused their attention on him. "These Monster Beasts are all acting under some kind of command. We just need to find the one giving the orders!"

As Xue Feng spoke, his gaze shifted toward the far distance. Atop the farthest mountain peak, there seemed to be a vague, enormous figure. The silhouette was so massive it could have been mistaken for a mountain itself.

"I’ll go ahead and take a look. You all deal with these Monster Beasts here. They are strong, but with your coordination, you can handle them quickly."

Upon Xue Feng’s order, his men sprang into action. He, meanwhile, charged toward the giant figure in the distance.

At that moment, Xiao Xiao also noticed Xue Feng coming in her direction.
