Chapter 721: Chapter 721 Ye Qingchen’s Request

However, much to his disappointment, despite trying everything he could, he failed to open the bag even a little.

Looking at the bag, Housekeeper Liu and everyone else spoke in disbelief. "Is this thing really a Divine Artifact? We can’t even open it! Seeing the Ginseng Fruit inside is making me crave it so badly!"

"Who isn’t? All we can do now is see what Ye Qingchen is up to."

"I’m just saying, for a Ginseng Fruit, I’d be willing to eat shit if he asked me to!"

"That’s letting you off easy! A Ginseng Fruit’s value is far greater than that!"

Since the group was helpless against the bag, all eyes turned to Ye Qingchen.

"Ye Qingchen, just tell us what you need us to do!"

Ye Qingchen smiled slightly. "What I want you to do is very simple. Whoever can injure Housekeeper Liu gets a Ginseng Fruit! Of course, the injury isn’t just any injury—it must draw blood!"

Upon hearing this, everyone fell silent. Without exception, they all turned to look at Housekeeper Liu, who was standing to the side.

Housekeeper Liu’s eyes widened in disbelief. "What did you say? You want them to hurt me!"

Housekeeper Liu never expected such a request! Just a moment ago, he’d only harbored murderous intent toward Ye Qingchen, but now he wanted to tear the man to pieces! With so many people here, he couldn’t possibly handle it if they all attacked him. This was clearly Ye Qingchen’s revenge! The man was too vicious!

Meanwhile, the rest of those present had varying thoughts, and the crowd erupted.

"Injuring Housekeeper Liu to get a Ginseng Fruit? That’s more than worth it!"

"Don’t you dare compete with me! I have to be the first to go!" one person shouted.

"Housekeeper Liu, we’ve known each other for a while," another said, "but a Ginseng Fruit is right in front of us. I’m sorry, but this is for me!"

Ye Qingchen could tell that Housekeeper Liu had some Cultivation, but not much—at most, he was at the first level of the Martial Emperor Realm. Among the crowd, however, there were cultivators at the third and fourth levels. Housekeeper Liu stood no chance; he was destined to take a beating.

Seeing the eager crowd, Housekeeper Liu shouted angrily, "I’ve always treated you all well! And you dare do this to me at a crucial time? Fine, just fine! Every single one of you who dares to lay a hand on me, just you wait! After this is over, I will not let any of you go!"

His words were a mistake. As soon as he spoke, the place exploded into chaos.

"But Housekeeper Liu has connections," one of the more timid ones whispered. "If we attack him like this, what if he really comes after us later?"

"That’s an easy problem to solve!" someone replied instantly. "If you’re afraid of retaliation, we just kill him right here! We’re talking about a Ginseng Fruit! In our eyes, his life isn’t worth a single Ginseng Fruit!"

"He’s right. Housekeeper Liu is incredibly petty. He’s held a grudge against the Zheng Family for years, constantly targeting them. If we just injure him now, he’ll hunt us forever. It’s better to kill him outright!"

"There are so many of us. If we each land one blow, we can easily kill him!"

"Alright! For the Ginseng Fruit, let’s risk it all!"

The crowd brandished their weapons, their faces twisted with malevolence as they glared at Housekeeper Liu. All prior harmony between them vanished, replaced by the animosity of long-standing, bitter enemies.

Housekeeper Liu shot a furious glare at Ye Qingchen. "Well done! Very well done, Ye Qingchen! To think you’d come up with a scheme like this to deal with me! I’m telling you, when this is over, I will tear you to pieces!"

Smiling, Ye Qingchen walked outside and calmly observed the scene unfolding within.

"Enough of your crap, Housekeeper Liu! Take this!"

With a collective roar, the crowd swarmed toward Housekeeper Liu, weapons raised.

Furious, Housekeeper Liu brandished his large saber, runes flickering on the blade. With a single wave, he sent a blast of Sword Qi flying toward the attackers at the forefront.

The attackers didn’t even try to dodge, taking the blow head-on. Though the blast cut them down, leaving them clutching their wounds on the ground, they staggered back to their feet after just a few seconds.

Upon seeing this, Housekeeper Liu grew even more furious. With another wave of his hand, he unleashed another blast of Sword Qi.

This time, however, the stronger cultivators in the crowd charged to the front. Using their own weapons, they deflected and dissipated the Sword Qi.

By then, the crowd had closed in on Housekeeper Liu.

Housekeeper Liu gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, preparing to launch another strike. But just then, he felt something was wrong. The people surrounding him were smiling. Their smiles were brilliant and sunny, a stark contrast to the bloodstains on their battered faces. They looked as if they were completely unharmed.

In the instant Housekeeper Liu was caught off guard, the mob lunged forward and seized him.

A young man kicked Housekeeper Liu square in the chest, sending him stumbling back two steps before he crashed to the ground, spitting a mouthful of blood. The youth strode forward, planted a foot on the fallen man’s body, and stared down at him coldly. "Sorry about this, Housekeeper Liu!"

Housekeeper Liu raised his head and glared at the group, bellowing, "Damn it! You bastards just wait! Just you wait until I get out of here!"

His threat was met with a burst of loud laughter. One of them slammed a palm into Housekeeper Liu’s chest, causing him to spit up another mouthful of blood.

"Get out? You have no chance of walking out this door today!" one of them sneered.

Then, another man kicked Housekeeper Liu in the stomach. He cried out in pain, clutching his abdomen as he crumpled to the ground, a look of bitter resentment on his face.

Housekeeper Liu’s gaze remained fixed on his attackers, a desperate resolve hardening in his eyes. He fumbled in his pocket, pulled out an unknown object, and forcefully swallowed it. The moment it went down, his power surged dramatically!

Housekeeper Liu slowly rose from the ground. "All of you, die!"

In an instant, Housekeeper Liu mobilized all the surrounding ice element. The air turned bitterly cold as a deep chill crept up from the soles of everyone’s feet. Those who reacted too slowly were instantly frozen into ice sculptures, crashing to the ground one after another.

Housekeeper Liu glanced at the frozen figures and kicked the head of one of the corpses, shattering it.

The remaining attackers watched his actions, astonished. In that moment, they all understood what kind of Elixir he had taken. It was the type that could cause one’s Energy to skyrocket for a short time, but it came with extreme side effects. In the worst cases, one might never be able to cultivate again! And Housekeeper Liu had just taken it.

He’s planning to fight us to the death!

"You want to kill me? In your dreams!" Housekeeper Liu snarled, his eyes filled with madness.

"Don’t be afraid! There are still so many of us masters here. So what if his strength has increased!"
