Chapter 451: Chapter 447: Celestial Tribulation Over, Is the Snake Spirit Dead?

No one knew how long the vast, white Celestial Tribulation lasted. Heaven and earth were invisible to the naked eye, and time and space seemed to have frozen.

Not until the creatures’ vision cleared did they look up to the sky. The heavens were a vast, clear turquoise, unstained by a single cloud.

Mist clung to the distant mountains, and a cool, gentle breeze blew.

It was clear that the Celestial Tribulation had ended. The legendary seventy-two-strike, "must-die" Celestial Tribulation had finally concluded its earth-shattering display.

Suddenly, with horrified gazes, they all looked toward the valley floor, searching for the majestic shadow of the snake.

The Celestial Tribulation was over. So, was the Snake Spirit still alive?

This time, no one was quick to jump to conclusions. The Snake Spirit had proven them all wrong too many times, surviving again and again with unyielding tenacity, its shadow always standing tall.

He had survived the bombardment of sixty-six strikes of Celestial Thunder and Celestial Fire. So, even though the final six strikes were world-ending in their power, the creatures now hoped to witness a miracle.

If he could survive a "must-die" Celestial Tribulation, it would be a huge source of encouragement for the Spirit Monsters on the verge of their own ascension.

Unfortunately, they were disappointed once again. Before, they saw what they hadn’t wanted to see, yet now, when they wanted to see it, the majestic, imperious shadow of the snake was gone.

The valley floor was a barren wasteland, a field of ruins. It was an absolute wreck, as if the land itself had been scoured three feet deep.

Pits and craters littered the landscape. Fissures stretched for unknown miles, and even many of the smaller peaks had crumbled.

Alas...

Countless sighs echoed from all around. In the end, that monstrous Snake Spirit hadn’t been able to endure. When the final, ultimate, six-in-one tribulation descended, all things were annihilated. He was no exception.

No living creature could have survived such a Celestial Tribulation.

None. Not even a Demon King.

It wasn’t surprising, just a bit of a shame. That Snake Spirit had been too astounding. His actions while Crossing the Tribulation were breathtaking. He’d treated the Celestial Thunder and Celestial Fire as if they were nothing—snatching them, tossing them aside, shattering them with a single punch, even swallowing the Celestial Thunder and devouring the Celestial Fire.

Who in the world today could claim to perform such magnificent feats?

And this was the legendary seventy-two-strike "must-die" Celestial Tribulation, countless times more powerful than a common Four-Nine Celestial Tribulation.

They weren’t even in the same league.

A real shame. Truly a shame.

If such an astounding Snake Spirit had succeeded in his ascension, he would have undoubtedly become the sixth Great Demon King of the Yaoling Mountain Range. His future achievements might have even surpassed those of the other Demon Kings.

But all of that was mercilessly obliterated by the Celestial Tribulation, turned to dust and smoke. The sky was still the same sky, the land was still the same land, but the shadow of the snake was gone forever.

The Celestial Dao is heartless. For creatures pursuing Cultivation, the nobler their bloodline and the greater their power, the more arduous their path.

After all, in this world, Divine Beasts had long existed only in legend.

Though this end was tragic, it was by no means an accident. It was an inevitability.

There was no luck to be had under a "must-die" Celestial Tribulation.

The two Monkey Kings of Monkey Mountain, however, were grinding their teeth in hatred. ’That damned Snake Spirit! So what if he’s dead? Look at what his tribulation did to Monkey Mountain!’

It looked like a barren wilderness uninhabited by animals for a hundred years. Pockmarked with craters and devoid of all life, the sight was too horrible to behold.

Before this, Monkey Mountain had been comparable to the legendary Huaguo Mountain, its scenery far surpassing any First Rank tourist attraction in the outside world.

Now, after one Celestial Tribulation, everything was turned upside down. It was like a stunning beauty who had insisted on getting plastic surgery only to end up a tragic mess.

"Big Brother, his death might settle things for him, but who are we going to hold accountable for our losses? Who can we take our anger out on?" the Crimson Sun Giant Ape roared, seeing the state of Monkey Mountain.

The Ape King looked like he’d been royally screwed. It was a disaster that had fallen from the heavens. His beautiful, scenic Monkey Mountain now looked like a haunted wasteland, utterly ravaged.

He was so furious he felt like he would explode on the spot, but the culprit himself had already been blasted to ash by the Celestial Tribulation.

A life extinguished is like a snuffed-out lamp. What could they do? The fiend had died so completely that he hadn’t even left a corpse behind.

Even if they wanted to desecrate his corpse to vent their rage, there was nothing to desecrate.

Suddenly, the Ape King and the Crimson Sun Giant Ape exchanged a look. With a silent, perfect understanding, they both turned to look in the same direction, their faces filled with Vengeful Spirit and murderous intent.

The Bull Demon King felt two immense waves of murderous intent wash over him and shuddered. Without a second thought, he rushed forward in a panic.

"Master! Master! My Master!"

A chubby figure descended from the sky and landed on the ruined valley floor, appearing to search for something.

’Master, if you’re dead, what’s going to happen to me, your old bull? I’m going to die a horrible death!’

The Bull Demon King wanted to cry but had no tears.

Behind him followed a tall, straight tree. The way this tree walked was comical; leaves rustled and fell with its every step, like it had its own built-in special effects.

"Master, are you really GG? My heart aches, old bull that I am! If you die, I won’t be able to live either!"

The Bull Demon King’s words were dramatic, but his face was tearless as he frantically searched the cratered ground.

But in the end, the bull and the tree couldn’t find so much as a single snake scale.

It was obvious: Tu Xiao’an was dead, and the two Monkey Kings of Monkey Mountain were sure to take out all their anger on the Bull Demon King.

The bull was now in an extremely perilous situation.

"Master, you really died a miserable death. Not even a speck of you is left," the Tree Spirit said, its leaves fluttering down wildly. Strangely, though, its foliage remained just as lush, not diminishing in the slightest.

A normal tree shedding leaves at such a rate would have been bare long ago.

The Bull Demon King, thinking about facing the wrath of the two Monkey Kings, looked as if he might collapse. He leaned one hand against the tree’s trunk, looked at Charlie, and asked, "Master’s dead now. Are you sad?"

Tree Spirit Charlie replied, "Although I haven’t been with the Master for long, I, Charlie, am loyal and value our bond. Now that the Master is dead, I am naturally heartbroken."

"Hmph, you’re full of it! You’re clearly gloating!" The Bull Demon King’s large, bell-like eyes glared menacingly. Pent-up and with nowhere to vent his anger, he could only take it out on the tree.

Startled by the outburst, the Tree Spirit asked guiltily, "How could you tell?"

"If you were truly heartbroken, you’d be dropping fruit. But I’ve been watching for a while now, and I haven’t seen a single piece fall," the Bull Demon King said, looking as perceptive as Sherlock Holmes.

The Tree Spirit was speechless.

It had no comeback; the analysis was too thorough.

’The Master just died, and you’re already after my fruit. Is that really okay?’

"You stupid bull, you’re no better than me! The Master just died and you’re already thinking about eating my fruit, you bastard!"

The Bull Demon King snorted. "I’m in so much pain I could die! Can’t I turn my grief into strength?"

’Besides,’ he thought, ’in a little while, I might never get the chance to eat fruit again in this life.’

"Get lost..."

The bull and the tree suddenly started bickering shamelessly, completely ignoring the time and place. This caught the two Monkey Kings off guard. ’They haven’t even made a move, and there’s already infighting?’

Just then, suddenly...

The bull and the tree both shuddered as a warm glow enveloped their bodies. Immediately, their eyes widened, and their jaws dropped. They stood there, dumbstruck, their expressions a picture of utter disbelief, as if a pie had just fallen from the sky.

The same scene was playing out in several other areas. The nine-colored Immortal Spirit Peacock Azure Owl, Golden Pupils, and the three snakes were all the same—their bodies were inexplicably enveloped in a warm glow, and then their auras began to surge violently.

The aura of Super level Creatures grew more and more intense, sweeping across the land and causing the countless creatures nearby to tremble in terror.
