Chapter 449: Chapter 445: The Celestial Tribulation’s Ultimate Move: Total Annihilation

The sky over Monkey Valley was now black, but the ground, in stark contrast, was a vast expanse of white.

Two pillars of lightning and fire, pulsing with immense and unrivaled power, pressed down on the towering Giant Snake, forcing its head down. Though a fifty-meter behemoth, it now resembled a pitiful paper boat on the high seas, desperately trying to stay afloat.

In the face of a world-ending Celestial Tribulation, even a Dragon would be forced to coil in submission.

If it wanted you dead, you would die.

Tu Xiao’an was in a terrible state. ’Fucking hell,’ he thought, ’why is my Celestial Tribulation as difficult as the journey to the Western Heaven?’

’If every Spirit Monster’s tribulation was this difficult, I’m sure there wouldn’t be a single Rank Three Demon Spirit in the entire world.’

The two Elemental Powers, Thunder and Flame, formed the strongest possible defense around his serpentine body. But under the devastating force of the Celestial Tribulation, even this supernatural power seemed illusory, as fragile as paper.

With a loud PING... the outer layer of Flame Power was completely exhausted and abruptly shattered. The Thunder Attribute Power, however, was still struggling to shield his body, helping Tu Xiao’an resist the combined Celestial Thunder and Celestial Fire.

But a minute later, PING... the Power of Thunder and Lightning was gone as well. The towering Giant Snake was now completely exposed to the cataclysmic, destructive force of the Celestial Tribulation.

Tu Xiao’an coughed up mouthful after mouthful of Snake Blood. Each drop formed a bead, brilliantly red and bewitching, landing on the ground without scattering. A single drop could heal the injured and save the dying.

Great gouts of Snake Blood stained the ruined valley floor red.

Fortunately, the power of the combined Celestial Thunder and Celestial Fire had also been mostly spent. The blinding white light vanished. Tu Xiao’an’s heart eased as he gasped for breath. ’I survived. I actually survived again.’

All four Elemental Attribute Powers within his body were completely depleted; he couldn’t use them anymore.

He had survived. It was a close call, but he was alive. Only six rounds of Celestial Thunder and Celestial Fire left.

Once he endured those, his Celestial Tribulation would finally be over. However, for the remainder of the tribulation, he would have to rely solely on his physical body to resist.

But the power of each successive round of Celestial Thunder and Celestial Fire was on a completely different level from the ones before. There was simply no comparison.

The countless Spirit Monsters and Demons watching the Celestial Tribulation saw the snake’s silhouette reappear and were utterly stunned. ’That Snake Spirit is still alive? It’s still standing?’

They had felt the power of those two pillars of lightning and fire from tens, even hundreds of miles away, and it had left them trembling in terror.

They had thought it was the apocalypse, that the very heavens were collapsing.

Many of the creatures found themselves strangely moved. What a resilient snake, fighting for its life against the heavens, unyielding and defiant.

Who would choose death if they could live? In the face of annihilation, even an ant, weak as dust, could unleash enough potential to shake an elephant.

The creatures watching the Celestial Tribulation began to secretly cheer for the Snake Spirit. Only six remained. If it could endure, the snake would achieve transcendence and might even reign supreme over all other Demon Spirits.

If it could overcome a surefire-death Celestial Tribulation, its potential must be terrifying to imagine.

But the next scene shattered the worldview of countless creatures, filling them with despair and pity for the tribulation-crossing Snake Spirit.

The three Tribulation Cloud Flowers, poised and ready to bloom, began to move. They circled one another as lightning flashed and thunder rumbled ceaselessly nearby. Then, something bizarre happened. The three flowers merged into one, becoming a single, magnificent blossom that glittered like brocade. The entire flower pulsed with threads of electric light, radiating an extraordinary Celestial Might.

It was as if an electric dragon was hidden within, eager to burst forth and soar into the heavens.

In another part of the sky, the three Extraterrestrial Meteorites also bizarrely fused into one. A deluge of fire flowed across the heavens as they became an even larger meteorite. The three streams of Celestial Fire merged, like a volcano gathering power for an imminent eruption.

The sky above changed unpredictably, a shocking and dreadful sight.

A power capable of subverting the Six Paths of Reincarnation was brewing.

Three Tribulation Cloud Flowers becoming one, three Extraterrestrial Meteorites fusing into a single mass... all the creatures watching began to question their very existence.

Clearly, this surefire-death Celestial Tribulation was defending its Celestial Might. With its disdainful gaze, it would not permit any living thing to survive.

It was a repeat of the previous scene. The single Tribulation Cloud Flower flew over to the fused Extraterrestrial Meteorite and, with a flash of crackling light, embedded itself completely within.

BOOM...

The power contained within this Extraterrestrial Meteorite was likely enough for the Celestial Dao to annihilate an entire city.

BIGGER... BIGGER... BIGGER!

With the Tribulation Cloud Flower embedded within, the Extraterrestrial Meteorite instantly swelled, blotting out the entire sky and plunging the world into darkness.

The world went dark. An immense power capable of subverting the Six Paths of Reincarnation fully revealed its terrifying face. On the ground below, Tu Xiao’an’s towering serpentine body trembled faintly, the pressure so intense he could barely breathe.

He looked up to a sky devoid of sun and moon.

WHOOM...

The sky-blotting Extraterrestrial Meteorite erupted like a volcano. Instantly, Tu Xiao’an was blinded. It was as if he had been plunged back into Chaos, on the verge of being annihilated by the Celestial Dao.

The moment this ultimate, combined Celestial Tribulation erupted, every creature in the world was struck blind. There was nothing but an expanse of blinding white; no one could see a thing.

Even the White Demon King on the mountaintop was no exception. The power of this Celestial Tribulation filled even it with terror.

The power of the Celestial Tribulation was so immense, so strong, it seemed capable of extinguishing all life. Tu Xiao’an no longer felt any pain. He only had a vague sensation of his serpentine body becoming ephemeral, flickering in and out of existence as it began to shrink.

To be pushed this far in his tribulation... for the first time, Tu Xiao’an felt true despair. He felt his own insignificance, his powerlessness. He was unable to resist.

In fact, resistance was impossible. Every wisp of air contained a devastating power bent on his annihilation.

Tu Xiao’an was truly in despair. Death was creeping in, and his heart was filled with indignation. ’I’m just trying to prove my path and cross a tribulation! It’s not like I’m trying for fucking Ascension! Do you really have to go to such lengths to destroy me?’

’The endless barrage of techniques from this Celestial Tribulation... it’s like it’s just spamming game skills, Q, W, E, R, one after another!’

’This has to be its ultimate move. It’s basically asking, "Are you dead yet?"’

’With a Celestial Tribulation like this, forget about a Spirit Monster. Even a Demon King would be annihilated without a single trace left behind.’

Once this surefire-death Celestial Tribulation was unleashed, everything became void.

At this very moment, Tu Xiao’an finally understood what a "surefire-death Celestial Tribulation" truly meant.

Just then, Tu Xiao’an’s own serpentine body began to shrink drastically from its towering fifty-meter form.

This shrinkage was terrifying. It was like the end of the world: a process of reduction, from large to small, from existence to nothingness.

The destruction of the Celestial Dao was merciless and terrifying. Fifty meters... forty-five meters... forty meters...

Under the devastating power of the Celestial Tribulation, his towering body was shrinking at a visible rate, on its way to being utterly annihilated.

"No! How can I, Tu Xiao’an, die here? I must survive this Celestial Tribulation!"

"System, get the hell out here! Help me!"

Tu Xiao’an suddenly realized why the system’s rewards were only granted after he finished Crossing the Tribulation.

’It seems the system never thought I’d make it.’

"To prove your path and cross the tribulation, the host must rely on his own power to survive. Only then can you become the true Snake King, be utterly reborn, achieve transcendence, and command all the snakes of the world."

The system’s voice was mechanical and cold.
