Combining Ye Haochuan’s understanding of this man and what he heard Gu Guangyi say earlier, he quickly deduced that this man must be the one hired for his expertise in treasure hunting.
The middle-aged man noticed Ye Haochuan looking at him and quickly returned the gaze.
Ye Haochuan didn’t show fear, giving a nod in greeting, to which the man slightly nodded back, albeit with a puzzled expression.
Soon, Gu Guangyi’s robust figure appeared outside the door.
However, instead of taking the main seat, he stood by Gu Ying’s side.
Gu Guangyi gave a glance full of disgust at Ye Haochuan by Gu Ying’s side and whispered, "You should restrain yourself, always mixing with these disreputable types. How will you marry in the future?"
"Why do I have to get married? I quite like the way things are!" Gu Ying defiantly retorted.
Gu Guangyi said a few more things, but Gu Ying remained steadfast, leaving him frustrated and only able to glare at Ye Haochuan, with a flash of killing intent in his eyes.
Damn, could I be so unlucky? I’ve tried hard to remain hidden, only to risk exposure from taking a stray bullet?
Ye Haochuan groaned internally.
Fortunately, Gu Guangyi didn’t make a move in front of everyone, only standing proudly.
Soon, Gu Dewei’s figure appeared on the main seat.
The people below saw this and immediately paid their respects.
