Chapter 369: Addiction, Failed?
Michael had no any other choice but to drag Kate out of the training chamber. This girl, the moment that she realized how incredible the technology within the training chamber was, she forgot about everything else.
She just focused on training, completely forgetting that she was just here to see the equipment that was available. And today, she was supposed to go out with Michael.
Thinking that she had been working so hard at the training camp, Michael wanted to take her out so that she could relax. But it seemed that he had made a mistake by bringing her to the training chamber the moment that she arrived.
As she was being pulled towards villa number 5, Kate looked reluctant. From time to time, she would look behind, gazing towards villa number 4.
Before she was pulled out of the villa, she had obviously been trying to resist as much as she could. But it was then that she was shocked by something else.
She knew that Michael was incredible when it came to fighting. But, she had only ever seen him fight against ordinary humans.
Thinking that Michael might possess an ability that allowed him to be able to learn things at a fast speed, she thought that after the improvements that she had experienced for the past few days, she had grown stronger than him.
But no, no matter how much she tried, she realized that she was not strong enough to be able to shake Michael at all. It was almost the same as a 2-year-old trying to pull an adult male bodybuilder.
Because she could not win against Michael, she had to be helplessly pulled out of the training chamber.
As for her shock, she set it aside for the time being, despite realizing that Michael was extremely strong.
On the way back to villa number 5, Michael did not say anything, as he continued holding Kateโs hand, as if he was afraid that she would rush back towards villa number 4.
Even though he had already locked the door when they were leaving, and he had not given her an access card, Michael was actually not thinking about that at all.
It was only after they had entered villa number 5 that he finally released her. Looking at her reluctant expression, Michael felt a little helpless.
Even though the obsession that Kate had been holding for years had already been dealt with, some things could not be changed. She was already addicted to training, having trained for almost her entire teenage years.
Additionally, after experiencing the growth through the adaptation ability, if there was a chance for her to improve, she always looked forward to it. Therefore, the moment that she realized that she could go all out without holding back, she was thrilled.
She wanted to train all that she could, and she actually did for over 30 minutes. She was already sweating, and had just decided to take a break when Michael decided to pull her out of the training chamber.
"Okay, I already told you, the training chamber is going to be there, Iโm not moving it anytime soon. So, today, you have to relax. You can come another day to train there." Michael said.
It was only when Michael said those words that Kate finally came back to her senses. She felt a little embarrassed at her behavior.
She suddenly remembered that today, she had come to spend the day with Michael. Unexpectedly, her mind had already shifted to training.
"Okay, letโs go. Tomorrow, you should not stop me from training." Kate immediately agreed to what Michael had said, but then made another suggestion.
She felt that if she wasted more time, she might end up regretting it. This world that she did not understand, the only way to feel secure was to be strong.
Michaelโs presence always gave her a sense of security. But, she was proud, and was not the type that liked to be protected all the time.
Instead, she really liked to be useful. Therefore, she thought, if she was strong enough, if Michael encountered a situation that he could not deal with, maybe she might be of assistance.
And in other situations, she might be able to extract herself from danger, without involving Michael. That way, Michael would avoid some risks that he might never have had to face if he had never met her.
Looking at Kate, Michael immediately understood that this lady would not compromise on the issue of training on the following day. So, he nodded.
But just as Kate was getting excited, Michael added, "You can train, no problem. But, you have to understand that you cannot train for an entire day without resting. So, I will create a schedule for you, so that you can balance between training and resting."
Even though she was reluctant, Kate understood that she could not just focus on one thing. At least, she had to consider the other people around her.
"Fine, no problem. So, where are we heading to?" Kate asked, her eyes glinting with anticipation.
"From what I know about you, it seems that you have never gone to some places within the Eastern province. Today, we are going on a tour. Letโs enjoy the nature." Michael responded.
In actual sense, just like Kate, he himself had never really had the time to enjoy the nature. Back in Drenn city, something like this was impossible.
And after he came to Brenton city, at first, he was really busy with acquiring SP. And the few times that he went out, he was always with Alex and the others, or coincidentally, something happened while he was out.
He had already communicated with Onyx the previous night, arranging for several places that he wanted to visit with Kate.
From his perspective and understanding, the best way to bond with someone was by enjoying themselves. Visiting places and going on adventures, was something that Kate would definitely love.
And as expected, the moment that Kate heard those words, her expression immediately brightened up. It seemed that she was really looking forward to it.
Looking at her like this, Michael smiled. But even then, he wondered, sometimes, situations could lead to someone to possess contrasting personalities.
For Kateโs situation, while it was not a personality, it was just the effect of losing her father that made her act the way that she did, but she really was quite cold but then.
Comparing the her, who had arrested him, and the Kate standing in front of him, it was just unbelievable.
Regardless, Michael made a call. This time, the person that was taking them out was none other than Adrian.
Michael had thought, this guy had been so busy for quite a while now. He rarely got a chance to do something for himself.
If he asked Adrian to take a break, that guy would use that time to start learning something else, instead of really relaxing as expected.
That was why Michael decided that he would have to accompany them. Although he would have to be the third wheel, but in some places that Michael was planning to visit today with Kate, he definitely would be able to relax his mind from all the work that he had been busy with.
Not long after Michael had made the call, a helicopter arrived within the villa area. Then a while later, it took off, flying into the distance.

"How can something like this happen?! They actually refused?! This makes no sense at all! They are the best assassin organization in the whole world. How is it possible that they cannot take care of something like this?!" Amos exclaimed as he smashed things in his room.
This old man usually lived in his villa together with his nephew, Ethan. Apart from them, a few maids and security were also present.
Amos did not have a wife, so, he usually stayed in his room alone. And right now, the entire room was a total mess.
It turned out that just as they had discussed the previous day, Amos had already contacted an assassination organization.
He was willing to pay a big price, in order to eliminate the Santos family, together with the silent order syndicate.
But unexpectedly, he was refused. They claimed that what he wanted to pay, it was not sufficient enough for them to take action.
Amos had to admit that it was not an easy thing to do, when it came to eliminating a big force like the silent order syndicate.
If it had been easy, the blood reapers syndicate to have already accomplished this long ago.
But even then, the price that he was willing to pay, was literally almost 3/4 of what the blood reapers syndicate was currently worth. But even so, it was not considered enough?
This was something that he found to be so frustrating. He had thought that with such a method, he might be able to easily deal with the silent order syndicate, without suffering much damage.
As for the price paid, it was something that could be recouped after a while, maybe a year or two.
But those guys, they claimed that they wanted not only what he was offering, but all the spoils of the silent order syndicate. Such a price, Amos was not willing to pay.
If the blood reapers syndicate took action by itself, the cost would definitely not be that high. Additionally, the plans had already been made, while not fully in place, it was already enough to be able to cause so much damage to the Santos family and the silent order syndicate.
"Dammit! I guess I just have to contact him." As he gritted his teeth, his old face full of reluctance, Amos muttered in a low voice.
