Chapter 5456: Growth! I
Three hours was a long time.
Noah doubted he would need most of it. THE Creature had gone to hunt a second appendage that was true, and that was good work for the interval, but the same question had turned itself on Noah the moment their fists crossed. What could he become in three hours?
He had his Osmontian Tongue. He had his Osmontian Biomass, ticking upward with every assertion of the first letter, and six Genesis Tesseracts resting in his existence alongside a good number of cards still folded up his sleeve. He simply needed to get started.
---
<THE Infiniverse>
The storm-grove had settled by the time he brought them home.
The great blue tree stood quiet over its clearing again, mana falling soft and slow the way it had before rage turned the weather violent. The air of THE Infiniverse buzzed of green growth and clean water, and Noah walked beneath the branches with his mother on one side, his son on the other, and his daughter’s small hand held tight in his own.
Seo-yeon had not let go of him since the word Aba first left her mouth. He had not asked her to!
He stopped them in the heart of the clearing and turned to face the three of them.
"I want to give you each something," Noah said.
He opened his hand, and three Genesis Tesseracts rose into the falling mana.
The hypercubes turned slowly in the air, blue-white and folded through a dimension the eye kept losing, each one holding the Infinite Source Potential of a First Cause. Their light washed over three faces, and each face understood in its own way exactly what it was looking at!
His own power protected and covered the cubes to make sure nobody accidentally melted.
Seo-yeon’s grip tightened.
The Tesseracts settled into their hands, and began to stir.
Amelia held hers against her chest and looked down at it for a long moment. She had originated once, ages ago, the Cause that everything they were now stood upon, and the years since had made her a survivor and a protected thing and a mother in a war. Now her boy was handing her the power to originate again, this time...consciously.
Henry took his with both hands, careful and steady. His father had just handed him the seed of an entire Observable Existence and said allow its emergence! His father saw him, and had chosen to let him carry weight of such a thing!
Oh!
Seo-yeon stared at the folded thing pulsing in her palms, and her lip trembled.
"Is it really okay? " she whispered. "I...wouldn’t want this to be destroyed too..."
"It wont." Noah said, kneeling to her level. "And this one will be grown by your own hands, inside THE Infiniverse, inside me, behind everything I am. Nothing takes this one without going through your Aba first. And nothing goes through your Aba."
...!
She looked up at him, and she nodded.
"Then follow my lead," Noah said, rising. "All three of you."
He had seated Prime Causes twice before, at Chernobyl and in the drowned Cradle, and both times he had done it by instinct, reaching in and simply knowing. Teaching it was different work. Teaching forced him to slow the knowing down and find its bones, and as he began to speak, the articulation sharpened his own understanding in turn.
"A First Cause isn’t built," he told them, guiding their awareness into the stirring seeds. "It’s declared. The seed already holds the template of all nine Prime Causes, folded and waiting. Your work isn’t construction. It’s honesty. You reach into the folding and you tell the seed what is true about you, and the Causes seat themselves around that truth the way flesh grows around bone. Don’t reach for what you think an Observable Existence should be. Reach for what you are, and let the emergence take its shape from that."
HUUM!
The three Tesseracts began to unfold.
And THE Infiniverse rose to meet them as this was truly delicate work, and nothing could go wrong.
Her Egoic Intent moved through the whole of her vastness, the awareness of containment turning its attention inward, and she made room. Her manifestation appeared at the clearing’s edge in her cerulean-threaded dress, watching with shining eyes as three newborn Observable Existences began emerging inside her, and her Intent wrapped around each unfolding seed the way arms wrap around something small and new. No domain in all the ages had done this. Observable Existences drifted alone in the Undefined Gaps, born by accident into the dark. She would be the first in history to hold others the way a mother holds children!
|An unprecedented structure is forming. Three Observable Existences are emerging rooted within THE Infiniverse, nested inside her containment and cradled by THE Egoic Intent of THE Infiniverse. No record exists of Observable Existences held within an Observable Existence. You are all, collectively, the first.|
The emergences bloomed, and each one took the shape of its holder.
Henry’s unfolded in blue and gold, the colors of his own hair and lineage rendered into foundational light. Radiant Primordial Realms condensed through its young vastness, and Folds of the same burning blue-gold opened between them, everything about it bright and forward and unashamed. It was the Observable Existence of a young man who had decided to be seen.
He wanted his nepotism to be seen!

Amelia’s came up green and gold, and it came up growing. Gardens unfurled across its foundations at the scale of realms, canopies the size of star systems, rivers of golden light threading through endless living green. It was less built than planted, every corner of it tending toward bloom, the nature of a woman who had once grown an entire Cause from a seed finally given room to garden at the scale she deserved.

And Seo-yeon’s emerged looking like home.
It came up saturated with infinity, dense and deep and shining, its young realms carrying the unmistakable character of Chernobyl. She had reached for what she was, exactly as her Aba taught, and what she was turned out to be that place, carried inside her all along. The seed had listened. It was not Chernobyl reborn. It was Chernobyl remembered, by the one who had loved it most, and grown again in soil nothing could reach.
