Chapter 9: Watch Your Language!

Having offended his new boss during their very first meeting, Jared Prince was already feeling uneasy.

Looking at Richard Sterling, the man responsible for this entire mess, he wished he could personally throw him out of the building.

"Richard Sterling, get out!"

Jared’s face darkened.

"And while you’re at it, pass a message to your uncle. Horsa Advertising’s lease expires at the end of this month. Tell him to pack up and move out of San Fierro Building."

Richard’s face instantly turned white.

It felt as though the sky had collapsed on top of him.

"N-No! Manager Jared! Mr. Hale! Please give me another chance!"

His previous arrogance had vanished completely.

He stumbled forward desperately.

"Please don’t kick us out! We can talk about this!"

Seeing the pleading look on Richard’s face, Jared became even more irritated. If this fool hadn’t run his mouth earlier, none of this would have happened.

Noticing the cold expression on Luca’s face, Jared immediately made up his mind.

"Security!"

Several guards hurried over.

"What are you standing around for?" Jared barked. "Drag him outside. He’s making President Hale uncomfortable."

Before Richard could continue begging, the security guards grabbed him by the arms and hauled him toward the exit.

"No! President Hale! Mr. Hale!" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"Please listen to me!"

"I was wrong!"

His desperate cries echoed through the lobby until they gradually disappeared outside.

Only then did Jared quietly breathe a sigh of relief.

At least his own position seemed safe for now.

Luca casually sipped his tea.

"If Horsa’s boss comes looking for you later, handle it yourself."

"Understood, President Hale."

Jared immediately nodded.

Luca’s gaze turned colder.

"Also, investigate every company in this building that has business dealings with Horsa."

"If they want to continue working with them, they can leave too."

Jared’s heart jumped.

"Understood."

Afterward, Luca attended a company-wide management meeting in the building’s conference room.

To everyone’s surprise, his first decision was simple.

A twenty percent salary increase for all employees.

The announcement was met with thunderous applause.

In an instant, Luca’s reputation among the staff skyrocketed.

Of course, Luca had no interest in becoming some hardworking executive.

Management, reports, meetings, paperwork...

Those headaches could stay with Jared and the others.

As for him?

He preferred enjoying life.

So for the next several days, Luca practically disappeared into the presidential suite at San Fierro Grand Hotel, spending his days eating well, sleeping well, and enjoying the luxury lifestyle.

Still, after nearly a week, he began to feel that something was missing.

No matter how luxurious a hotel was, it never truly felt like home.

Standing beside the floor-to-ceiling windows one morning, Luca looked out over the city and muttered,

"Time to buy a house."

"And while I’m at it, a car too."

Once the thought appeared, he acted immediately.

Pulling out his phone, he called Naomi Monroe.

Meanwhile, Naomi had been in an unusually good mood these past few days.

Ever since meeting Luca Hale, it felt as though her luck had finally begun to change.

Her livestream traffic was steadily growing.

She was receiving more followers every day.

Even her gift income had improved significantly.

Yet despite all that, she occasionally found herself feeling strangely empty.

For some reason, she kept thinking about Luca.

So when she saw his name appear on her phone screen, her eyes instantly lit up.

After ending the call, she hurriedly got dressed, applied some light makeup, and rushed out to their meeting spot.

The moment she arrived, she spotted Luca sitting at an outdoor café.

"Hee hee."

Naomi sneaked up behind him and lightly patted his shoulder.

"Luca Hale!"

Today she was wearing a light beige floral dress.

The skirt swayed gently around her knees, revealing her slender calves.

Combined with her carefully done makeup and naturally beautiful features, she looked absolutely stunning.

For a brief moment, Luca was genuinely caught off guard.

A flash of admiration appeared in his eyes.

Although it only lasted a second, Naomi noticed.

And immediately became even happier.

Luca stood up with a smile.

"You haven’t eaten breakfast yet, right?"

He pointed at the extra meal on the table.

"I ordered some for you."

"Thank you."

Naomi sat down obediently and took a sip of milk.

Then she looked up curiously.

"So, what kind of car are you planning to buy?"

Naomi knew very little about cars.

But she knew one thing.

Someone as rich as Luca definitely wasn’t buying an ordinary vehicle.

"A G-Class."

The moment the words left his mouth, Naomi’s eyes widened.

"Hey!"

She quickly glanced around nervously.

"Don’t say things like that in public!"

Luca blinked.

"...What?"

Naomi leaned closer and lowered her voice.

"You’re not allowed to swear in public anymore. It’s not classy."

Luca stared at her.

For several seconds.

Then he finally realized what she thought he had said.

The corners of his mouth twitched.

"Woman..."

"Your thought process is seriously broken."

Soon afterward, they arrived at the Mercedes-Benz dealership.

The moment they stepped through the doors, several employees looked over.

Then they froze.

The pair standing together looked ridiculously attractive.

Tall and handsome.

Beautiful and elegant.

They looked like a couple straight out of a movie.

The store manager recovered first and hurried over.

"Welcome to Mercedes-Benz."

He smiled professionally.

"Do you have any models in mind, sir?"

"A G-Cla—"

Before Luca could finish speaking, a sharp pinch landed on his waist.

"Ouch!"

Naomi glared at him.

"I told you to watch your language!"

The manager was briefly confused before understanding.

His expression immediately became strange.

Trying hard not to laugh, he said,

"Very well, sir."

"Two G-Class AMG models arrived just today."

"Please follow me."

Only then did Naomi finally realize that G-Class was actually a vehicle model.

Her face instantly turned red.

Especially when she noticed Luca trying not to laugh.

"You jerk!"

Naomi gritted her teeth.

Luca laughed openly this time.

"Who told you to react so adorably?"

Without thinking, he reached over and ruffled her hair.

Her silky hair slipped through his fingers, carrying a faint floral fragrance.

Naomi froze.

She had not expected such an intimate gesture.

But strangely...

She wasn’t angry at all.

In fact, she found herself thinking:

’His hand feels nice...’

’If he touched my face, wouldn’t that feel even better?’

The thought startled her so badly that she almost jumped.

Quickly lowering her head, she stole a glance at Luca, who was discussing specifications with the manager.

Thankfully, he hadn’t noticed anything.

Only then did she secretly let out a breath of relief.

Soon, they arrived at the showroom.

Only two G-Class AMGs sat under the bright lights.

One khaki.

One black.

Both looked imposing, luxurious, and incredibly powerful.

"Mr. Hale, these are the newest arrivals."

The manager smiled.

"What do you think?"

Luca circled the black one once before nodding.

"Not bad."

Then he asked the most important question.

"Can I drive it away today?"

"Absolutely."

The manager’s smile widened.

"We can handle the registration process for you as well."

"Perfect."

Luca didn’t hesitate.

"I’ll take the black one."

The manager’s eyes nearly lit up.

This was the easiest sale of his career.

"I’ll prepare the contract immediately!"

[Ding!]

[Host spent 300,000 Dollars.]

[7x cashback triggered.]

[Cashback reward: 2,100,000 Dollars.]

Another two million dollars entered his account.

Luca couldn’t help feeling satisfied.

This was his first time owning a luxury vehicle worth several million.

Anyone would be excited.

Still, years of driving experience kept him calm on the surface.

Naomi, however, was a completely different story.

The moment she sat in the passenger seat, she began touching every button she could find.

Her eyes sparkled with excitement.

"So happy?"

Luca asked while starting the engine.

"Of course."

Naomi puffed out her cheeks.

"Not everyone is as rich as you."

"I’ve never even ridden in a car worth millions before."

Luca chuckled.

"Then I’ll make you even happier in a little while."

The moment those words left his mouth, Naomi froze.

Her heartbeat instantly accelerated.

She slowly lowered her head and nervously twisted the corner of her dress between her fingers.

Her imagination immediately began running wild.

’Even happier?’

’He can’t possibly mean...’

The tips of her ears slowly turned red.
