Chapter 422: Chapter 377: Jyeshta’s Blessing, The Birth of Wuyou Miao! (Vote for monthly tickets!)

Indra conceived a thought in his heart.

He looked down contemplatively, only to see Jyeshta sitting cross-legged on the ground, her eyes tightly closed, palms pressed together, her lips murmuring a faint chant that was indecipherable to the common man. However, beneath his composed and serene focus, Indra could hear these praises.

"Om~ Praise the Supreme Lord Indra!"

"Om~ Praise the Supreme Lord Indra!"

The voices of praise, not missing a single word, all flowed into Indra’s ears.

These were praises for him!

Seeing this scene, Indra felt moved.

His emotions started to stir, like Kashigyakya falling into the Ganges, producing endless waves.

As for bestowing blessings on others, he really wasn’t quite adept at that!

He still needed to find the feeling!

To adapt!

"It should feel like this!"

Indra whispered softly to himself.

His gaze grew gentle, and a pale blue divine light began to emanate from around his body, as a sacred aura slowly diffused from him.

Whoosh!

But in the next moment, Indra immediately snapped out of the state.

"This doesn’t feel right!"

"The austerity is not enough! It’s not yet perfect!"

Indra spoke.

Hearing this, Shiva’s expression tightened, and he spoke slowly.

"If Jyeshta’s asceticism is still not perfect, then don’t awaken her!"

"A devotee immersed in prayer to the Supreme Lord is blissful!"

"We must not disturb her ascetic practice!"

Shiva said.

Upon hearing these words, Indra was not hurried, nor was Parvati; Kashigyakya, however, became anxious first.

Kashigyakya stepped forward, his expression serious.

He pressed his palms together and bowed slightly to Shiva before turning his head to Indra.

"Teacher!"

"If this goddess’s asceticism is still not perfect, then please test her!"

Kashigyakya pleaded urgently.

Test!

Deities who receive prayers and praise frequently present a trial to their devotees just as their austere practice approaches perfection.

They may disguise themselves as mortals, tempting the ascetic to test their faith.

Or they bring calamities, testing the resoluteness of the ascetic.

The methods are diverse!

"Narayana, oh Narayana!"

"Goddess Jyeshta is simple-minded; ordinary temptations probably won’t work!"

Narada the Immortal whispered.

He looked deeply at Goddess Jyeshta.

After all, it was he who had cajoled the goddess into undertaking her ascetic journey, someone easily persuaded by him was probably not clever and indeed quite stubborn.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The Devas exchanged looks, each bearing a different expression.

They didn’t have much of an impression of Goddess Jyeshta, but they had some understanding.

"This goddess indeed lacks desires!"

Fire God Agni pondered.

Wind God Vayu blinked, recalling the goddess’s past, pondering, "Goddess Jyeshta seems to have always been by Indra’s side."

Water God Varuna also shook his head.

"Goddess Jyeshta loves to be by Indra’s side the most!"

Varuna declared.

Moon God Soma’s gaze flickered.

He glanced at Jyeshta and involuntarily stepped back twice, turning his head away with a somewhat unsightly expression.

"Ugh..."

"So ugly!"

Moon God Soma grumbled to himself internally.

He couldn’t understand how Indra could bear it, having this creature always by his side; wouldn’t it affect his mood?

Indra blinked and murmured, "A test, perhaps?"

His eyes sparkled, and the corners of his mouth curled into a slight smile.

The smile was calm and serene, seemingly filled with confidence.

Indra waved his hand grandly.

Whoosh!

The next moment, a huge yellow mango appeared before his eyes instantaneously, golden like the sun, dazzling, its fragrance wafting, emitting a sweet and refreshing scent.

"A mango?"

Kashigyakya cocked his head, sizing up the mango with skepticism in his eyes.

Aside from being rather large, this mango had nothing unusual about it.

Perfectly ordinary!

The Devas also looked on with curiosity.

Fire God Agni furrowed his brows slightly, his pupils constricted, his gaze like a burning flame, aglow.

But he couldn’t discern anything miraculous about it, could he?

"It seems just a bit larger, but not any treasure!"

Fire God Agni murmured to himself.

Wind God Vayu’s brows knit slightly as he asked, "This seems to be just a mango, right?"

Water God Varuna also looked puzzled.

"Indeed!"

"Using this to test a goddess?"

Varuna was baffled.

What goddess wouldn’t pass such a test!

Seeing this scene, Parvati slightly furrowed her brows, a puzzled look on her face.

Shiva displayed a gentle smile.

At that moment, Indra spread his hands and opened his chest, slowly approaching Goddess Jyeshta, with the large yellow mango floating around him.

As Indra gradually drew closer to Jyeshta, he also walked towards doom and ill omen.

Fortunately, he was already blessed by Goddess Lakshmi, which offset the negative effects and he remained unscathed.

Indra smiled.

With divine power at his command, the mango began to float and spin around Jyeshta.

Whoosh!

The golden mango rotated like a satellite.

A delicate scent of fruit gently diffused.

Inhale! Inhale! Inhale!

Goddess Jyeshta’s nostrils flared, like a big fish lured by bait, smelling the aroma around her.

"Just as I thought!"

Indra shook his head and smiled.

"Ah?"

"There’s actually a reaction!"

Kashigyakya’s eyes widened in surprise.

A single mango actually elicited a response from Goddess Jyeshta!

Fire God Agni was confused.

Water God Varuna stood still, murmuring to himself in astonishment, "So it really is being used for the test, and it’s effective!"

Wind God Vayu’s gaze sharpened slightly.

He watched the mango closely, pondering in his heart.

"This mango doesn’t rot or wither near Goddess Jyeshta; could it be some kind of treasure?"
