Chapter 1755: Nine Demon Realms

Everyone was startled and exchanged glances.

Wang Ye smiled and said, "Lord Fang—"

"Second Senior Brother, just call me Old Nine. Why be so formal?"

"Uh..."

Wang Ye paused for a moment, then nodded with a wry smile. "Old Nine, do you have some kind of treasure that can hold living people?"

"A treasure that can carry living beings?"

Everyone's eyes lit up. Such treasures were extremely rare, almost unheard of.

Fang Chen nodded. "That's right. Therefore, when we get there, to prevent them from being affected, it would be safer to leave them with me."

Someone said with a bitter smile, "But our task is to personally escort them to the Feiyu Constellation. Until then, we are not allowed to hand them over to anyone. If something goes wrong, a reprimand would be the least of our worries. If it affects the battle in the Taicang Realm, the consequences would be severe."

Ye Qingqiu explained, "It's not that we don't trust you, please don't misunderstand."

Fang Chen waved his hand. "I understand your concerns. No need to explain. If it were me, I wouldn't easily hand over those under my protection either. In that case, once we arrive, you should be careful to protect them."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

With that, Fang Chen waved his hand. A surge of force burst forth, instantly blasting a deep pit into the ground. At the bottom appeared an entrance to an underground cavern.

After entering the cavern, they walked for a long time, descending to an extremely deep level.

The deeper they went, the hotter the temperature rose. Those in the Immortal Realm felt nothing unusual, but the reincarnated Heavenly Dao beings were already struggling to endure it.

Noticing that, Wang Ye immediately released a wave of cold energy, gradually lowering the temperature around them.

Finally, the group arrived at a depression filled with rolling magma.

Not far away stood a Starry Sky Grand Teleportation Formation, looking as though it had been sealed in dust for many years.

Xianyue Guan muttered softly, "Can this formation still be used?"

Wang Ye stepped forward to inspect it. After a moment, he nodded calmly. "The formation is intact. As long as we place immortal crystals into it, it can be activated."

Someone voiced a concern that had been lingering in everyone's hearts.

"But... what if Yun Xiuxue lied to us?"

"What if the other side is a trap?"

In truth, their suspicion had always been there. It just hadn't been convenient to say it out loud before.

Xianyue Guan and Wang Ye immediately fell silent. There was no way they could reveal the deal between Fang Chen and Yun Xiuxue. The fewer people who knew about such matters, the better.

"I'll go first. If there's no problem, I'll come back and call for you," said Fang Chen.

After saying that, he stepped into the formation together with Mi Yu.

Wang Ye's expression shifted. "Old Nine, I'll go with you."

Xianyue Guan said, "Then the two of you go first. If it's safe, just one of you can come back and let us know. After all, it's best not to put all our eggs in one basket."

Very soon, the formation activated. Fang Chen and the others were instantly enveloped in blue light and vanished with a whoosh before everyone's eyes.

***

This was a planet entirely covered by green oceans.

Deep within the planet, at a place resembling an altar, a formation suddenly flickered with blue light. In the next moment, several figures stepped out one after another.

"The air here..." muttered Wang Ye.

Frowning slightly, he formed a protective barrier with his immortal energy.

"The air here is highly toxic," remarked Fang Chen, reaching out with his hand and making a pinching motion in the air.

He rubbed his thumb and forefinger together, and they were immediately stained green. The powder clinging to his fingers resembled bacteria or a disease.

"At this level of toxicity, even immortals shouldn't breathe it directly. Protective measures are necessary," said Fang Chen.

Wang Ye's expression became grave. "I'm afraid this place is indeed very close to the Corpse Mountain Forbidden Zone."

"If it's only this, it's manageable. With proper protection, this kind of contamination isn't a big issue." Fang Chen smiled faintly. "Second Senior Brother, wait here for a moment. I'll go up and take a look."

Wang Ye replied with a smile, "Better to go together. Just because you're the Underworld Monarch doesn't mean your methods in the Mortal Realm can ignore all dangers."

"Then let's go together."

Not long after, the four emerged from underground and arrived at the surface. Looking out across the world, everything appeared lush, with endless greenery. But this greenery wasn't vegetation. Rather, the air itself was saturated with a dense green toxin, resembling a vast green ocean.

The protective barrier Wang Ye had raised was constantly being eroded by the poison, showing faint signs of weakening and being eaten away.

Seeing that, Wang Ye's expression darkened. He increased the flow of his immortal energy. The barrier instantly thickened several times over.

"There's nothing particularly dangerous here. As long as we don't inhale the poison, it's fine," said Fang Chen. "I'll go back and bring them over."

Wang Ye nodded, then took the reincarnated Heavenly Dao beings and headed back underground.

Fang Chen remained on the surface with Mi Yu, ready to receive Xianyue Guan and the others when they arrived.

A few breaths later, a sharp whistling sound suddenly cut through the air. In the next instant, Mi Yu withdrew her barrier and turned into a bolt of lightning, vanishing from Fang Chen's sight.

When she reappeared, she was holding a plump insect in her hand.

As she ate it, she nodded repeatedly.

"The insects here are full of potent poison. Delicious."

Fang Chen asked, "Daoist Mi Yu, does the toxic fog here have no effect on you?"

"Probably not. I actually think the air smells rather sweet."

After saying that, Mi Yu took a deep breath, closed her eyes for a long moment, then opened them and nodded at Fang Chen. "It really doesn't affect me. In fact, it's somewhat beneficial. The stronger the poison, the faster my cultivation improves."

Fang Chen couldn't help but sigh inwardly. The innate adaptability of the demon race was far beyond what the human race could match.

After waiting for quite some time, a violent gust of wind suddenly swept through, instantly dispersing the nearby toxic fog.

Almost at the same moment, Fang Chen pulled Mi Yu into the shadows. Above them, an Immortal Boat resembling a fortress slowly descended. The earlier violent wind had been caused by its arrival.

"This Immortal Boat looks quite unusual," remarked Mi Yu in surprise, having never seen anything like it before.

Ordinary Immortal Boats were long. This one, however, was round. Layer upon layer of structures were built upon it, making it resemble an entire cave-dwelling flying through the sky.

"This style... doesn't seem like something from the Nine Mortal Realms..."

Fang Chen's expression turned a bit strange. With a thought, he led Mi Yu closer to the boat.

At that moment, atop the boat stood a figure in a gray robe. She gently lifted her hood, revealing a crimson face.

Her features were delicate and well-proportioned, yet her skin appeared composed of red crystal. Through it, one could faintly see bones, meridians, flowing green blood, and even bluish brain matter.

She murmured softly, "This... Should be the Nine Demonic Beast Realms... I've finally returned..."

Standing not far behind her, Fang Chen and Mi Yu exchanged glances.

Nine Demonic Beast Realms? These days, no one refers to the Nine Mortal Realms that way anymore...
