Chapter 1749: I'll Kill You All
The place Fang Chen was currently in was an important checkpoint.
Although entering the area had been simple and effortless, taking a Starry Teleportation Formation was a different matter. Once aboard, he could not use the Shadow Buddha Technique. Therefore, the key prerequisite for passing through the teleportation formation was ensuring that his identity would not be discovered.
Fortunately, he already had a way to deal with this. Along the way, he had used the same method to pass every checkpoint with ease.

A few days later, a massive Starry Teleportation Formation gradually came into view on the horizon.
Fang Chen took the sugar glider out of his pocket. "Fellow Daoist Mi Yu, wake up. Time to pass the checkpoint."
Mi Yu groggily opened her eyes. The sleepiness passed quickly as she became alert, transforming into her human form.
Fang Chen immediately slipped into the Yang Gourd, while she carried it and flew toward the teleportation array.
Everything went smoothly. She paid the immortal crystals fee, verified her identity, and then sat quietly in a corner to wait for departure. She would occasionally pull out a worm and munch on it.
This was naturally noticed by the nearby cultivators, and recognizing the species of worms she was eating, they sensibly scooted away.
Nearby, many demonic cultivators were patrolling with local cultivators. From time to time, they checked travelers' identities. If anyone seemed suspicious, they would be seized on the spot and taken for interrogation.
During the wait, Mi Yu was questioned seven or eight times, but she handled each inquiry flawlessly.
Since she wasn't a core disciple and didn't carry the scent of a Formation Heart, the interrogators simply asked a few questions before moving on.

"I've already told you my background is clean. Why do you keep questioning me? Are you demonic cultivators always this overbearing? Now that you've taken over these territories, we ordinary cultivators can't even return home to visit family?"
"Please calm down. Once your identity is verified, we won't trouble you further."
"It better be that way. If you're just looking for an excuse to extort immortal crystals, just say so; I'll pay. After all, I've already paid plenty of tolls along the way. Consider it military funding for your alliance."
"Mind your tone."
Everyone turned to look.
A young man was being stopped and questioned by several demonic cultivators. He appeared extremely impatient, clearly displeased with the Fallen Alliance. When he mentioned toll fees, many cultivators nodded in agreement. They too had paid plenty along the way.
The demonic cultivators, however, didn't react to his attitude. They patiently explained a few things before continuing with standard questioning: where he came from, where he was going, and which sect he belonged to. After questioning him several times and finding no inconsistencies, they let him go.

Before long, someone approached and nodded with a smile at the waiting crowd. "Everyone, the formation can be activated."
Each activation of the formation could transport over two thousand people. It wasn't a large number, but it wasn't a few either.
In the past, securing a spot in the formation would require waiting ten days or half a month. Sometimes the queue could stretch for several months. But under the current circumstances, the number of traveling cultivators had become far fewer. Therefore, Mi Yu only had to wait half an hour before departure.
After paying their fees, people began filing into the formation. The array slowly activated, and a cascade of azure light fell from all directions like a waterfall.
Seeing it, many finally relaxed. Once they entered deeper territory, there would be far fewer checkpoints and inspections.
Just as the formation reached halfway activation, a cold female voice suddenly rang out. "Stop the formation. They are not allowed to leave."
The blue light dimmed, and the teleportation array shut down.
The crowd stared at each other in confusion.
Someone immediately yelled, "We're about to leave, why are we being stopped now?! You fight your wars, what does that have to do with us ordinary cultivators? Why should we suffer just because you're fighting over the Taicang Realm?"
The previously impatient young man also joined in, loudly voicing his anger, drawing agreement from many.
"I suspect there are spies from the Wandao Immortal Sect, Fangcun Realm, and Shenwang Realm among you. I will conduct another round of inspections. If there are no issues, you will be allowed to leave."
A woman in plain robes descended with a group of cultivators. She was strikingly beautiful, but her expression was icy. Even a glance from her made one's scalp tingle and sent chills down the heart.
By current standards, her cultivation was not especially high. She was only at the sixth transformation. But behind her stood an old man and an old woman. Both had calm expressions, yet their auras were unfathomable. They were clearly Ancient Immortals.
Many who had been complaining immediately fell silent upon noticing this, adopting obedient expressions. Even the loud young man shut his mouth, though he couldn't resist asking, "Young Lady, who exactly are you to inspect us at will?"
The woman didn't respond. Instead, the old woman behind her smiled and said, "Little one, shut up and let my young lady conduct her inspection. She hasn't been in a good mood lately. If you keep talking, I'll cut out your tongue and feed it to the dogs."
Her tone was warm, but her words sent chills down everyone's spine.
The young man nodded awkwardly. "Yes, ma'am!"
The cold woman suddenly chuckled, her gaze sweeping across the crowd. "I'd like to ask everyone here a question. Is there a core disciple of the Enlightenment God Palace named Wang Ye among you? My useless younger brother died at his hands. If he is willing to step forward on his own, then regardless of your identities, I will let everyone else pass."
The crowd exchanged strange looks.
Wang Ye?! Could it be...
They had heard rumors about this newly wanted figure. It was said that Yun Xiujie, the son of the God of War, had died at his hands.
Someone looked at the woman in shock. "The God of War's son!? Then she must be—"
Rumor had it that the God of War had an exceptionally talented daughter. She wasn't even 800 years old yet had already reached the sixth transformation. She had completed a path that many people could not finish even after eight thousand years. Her potential was immeasurable.

"Core disciple Wang Ye? And he's among us today? Are you certain of your information?" said the young man, scanning the crowd. "Wang Ye, come out yourself. Don't drag everyone down and waste our time. If you don't step forward today, none of us will leave. Hey, if anyone knows him, expose him immediately. Don't ruin your own future!"
The crowd looked at each other.
No one spoke.
Seeing this, the cold woman said calmly, "Since I came here today, I'm certain you are among them. If you refuse to come out, I have another method."
"What method?" the young man asked curiously.
The woman glanced at him coldly. "Kill all of you."
A collective gasp spread through the crowd. They could hardly believe what they had just heard.
