Chapter 270: Chapter 270: Entering the embassy
Leo felt a heavy sense of relief as he confirmed that everything that he went through was nothing more than a simulation. It was like a bad dream which couldn’t affect reality.
If it wasn’t a dream, he wouldn’t know where to complain about the cursed fate.
After the feeling of relief, the strongest feeling he had was that of anger. It was anger at his own stupidity where he didn’t even know how he was kidnapped.
This time, he didn’t plan to give the other side an opportunity.
He waved his hand lightly and a gun was pulled out of his storage ring.
He directly aimed the gun at the driver’s head.
The driver, who was about to release the poisonous gas and lock the car, was taken aback when he felt a sharp object against the back of his skull.
"Young Master, what are you..."
Bang~
Before he could finish his question, Leo pulled the trigger.
"Arghh!" The driver roared in pain, feeling his ear being blown off.
The weapon was so powerful that it didn’t just destroy his ear but also left a hole in the front windshield of the car.
It was enough to teach him about what the object actually was. Just a little to the left and his skull would have been blown off just as easily.
His face was filled with freight. Was his purpose exposed? How could that be? He had a thousand questions in his mind.
"From now on, only I will ask questions. And you will answer. If I see your hands moving in the meantime, your skull would be blown off before you can do anything. So keep that in mind."
"I... I will answer! I will answer everything!"
"Did Silas send you to kidnap me?"
Hearing the question, the driver’s heart sank. He became certain that Leo knew his entire plan.
He thought about pushing the blame to Silas, better than exposing the identity of the frightening Insect Empire. This could be an opportunity.
"Let me remind you, that I can differentiate between lies. Call it a unique skill I have. So you better think twice, or you might lose that scheming head of yours."
The driver froze. He didn’t know if Leo was telling the truth or bluffing. But was it worth risking his life to find out?
He was only three hundred years old. Why would he want to put his life on the line for someone else?
"N-no. It wasn’t Silas who sent me. I was hired by two people from the Insect Empire that work in the Lawless Zone."
"I had a working relationship with them. They pay me with credits, and I kidnap men for them."
The answer wasn’t out of Leo’s expectations, especially when he remembered seeing the two Insect Guards outside the factory looking at him strangely.
The driver told him everything, including the fact that he had already kidnapped over a thousand people for the insect Empire in the past, while telling a sob story about his children that would’ve starved if not for him working in this field.
"I will leave you where I picked you up, or at your destination. You don’t have to pay me! I will even refund their money, and never have contact with them. I promise I will never cross you!"
"There is no need for that. Just take me to where they are. Of course, without knocking me out this time."
Leo didn’t take his gun off the driver, keeping it aimed throughout the journey.
It was only when they reached a luxurious residence that there were signs of his gun moving back.
The driver sighed in relief, promising himself that he was never going to deal with these people. If not for his quick wits, he would’ve died today.
"T-thank you, Senior. I promise, I will be a good person in this life!" The driver said, but deep down, he was laughing.
After all, he didn’t believe Leo was going to return alive from this place. He just didn’t know the terror of the insect race after all.
"That’s good. I hope you can keep this promise in your next life."
Thud.
Inside the cab, the driver’s head fell forward with a hole in his head.
Leo opened the door of the cab, watching two Insect Guards arrive towards him. They were here to escort an unconscious man, unaware that the man was waiting for him.
Leo waved his left hand, and another powerful him appeared in his hand.
Just as the insect guards were within his range, he kicked the door open.
The guards were momentarily taken aback, not having time to react as their heads were impaled.
Leo stepped out of the cab, feeling quite excited. He even felt like he was a hero in a revenge movie.
Even though he had some revenge in the past, it wasn’t this satisfying. He really felt like the main character of some story.
With a gun in each hand, he walked past the lifeless bodies of the Insect Guards that were twice the size of his body.
"You are lucky, you got the easy way out."
He stepped inside the building, which was owned by the Insect Empire.
On the surface, it was the embassy of a middle tier planet which was ruled by the insects, but only a few people knew the dark side of this embassy.
The door of the embassy closed, and occasionally light could be seen flashing through the windows, sometimes on the first floor, then on the second floor.
The phenomenon lasted until the highest floor before stopping.
Leo stood at the highest floor of the Insect Empire Embassy, sitting on the envoy’s seat.
He could see the room flashing with a red light, as a signal for help had already been sent to the authorities of this planet.
It was only a matter of time before the authorities were going to rush inside the embassy to find the devastating scene.
