Chapter 47: The Organizational Structure of Transmigrators

Cain had completely lost his mind—or so it appeared to anyone observing him from afar, or at least, that was the absolute certainty that had settled within the mind of his loyal assistant. Since the early hours of the day,

the young Duke had been sitting behind his desk, shedding profuse tears while simultaneously erupting into foolish, farcical laughter that held no meaning whatsoever!

The spectacle was chaotic and surreal to the ultimate degree. While seated at his luxurious designated desk within the mansion to finalize transactions and stamp official documents, he would grasp the ducal seal and hammer it down upon the papers in rapid succession, without even bothering to look at their contents, his eyes weeping and his mouth releasing those hysterical cackles.

It went so far that Matthew, who initially believed his master might be passing through a bizarre mood, attempted to jest with him to alleviate the tension. He slipped a blank sheet of paper into the middle of the stacks, upon which he had written in bold, sweeping strokes: "I am an absolute fool."

When Cain passed the seal over it entirely unawares, Matthew raised the paper before his face and began to laugh merrily:

"Look, my Lord... I now possess conclusive, stamped proof that you are a fool! I shall place this document inside an exquisite glass frame and hang it in my room so I may never forget this day... My Lord?"

Yet Cain was not listening to him in the slightest; instead, he persisted in his mechanical rhythm of tearful stamping and random laughter, as if residing in an entirely different realm.

At that moment, Matthew’s smile extinguished, replaced by a genuine and bitter pity. For although this young master occasionally appeared devoid of logic or conscience, disregarding the needs or exhaustion of his employees, Matthew had never been accustomed to witnessing his master in such a wretched state of vulnerability.

Cain... the man who, with a single cold glance, could suppress the most formidable titans of the world, and who could, if he so desired, rule entire continents in a single moment... was now weeping and cackling like a madman!

Matthew had always believed that his master had transcended the concept of humanity long ago, elevating himself above emotions of grief, joy, and anxiety, unshackling from his shoulders all the constraints of human weakness to become a true, transcendent entity at the peak of the cosmic pyramid. Matthew himself had once witnessed a single second of Cain’s "Transcendent State," and only then did he comprehend with unshakeable certainty that this was the sole man worthy of being followed and offered a blind, fanatical loyalty.

But now, after Cain had degenerated into this alarming state, there was only one single explanation—one cause, and no other, that could have overturned his master’s entire being in this manner:

"It is that woman, without a doubt... It is her and no one else..." Matthew thought, his eyes igniting with fury.

Cain had always resembled an unyielding mountain that no tempest could shake, yet ever since that woman—Lucy—had entered his life, his condition had turned completely upside down, and the trajectory of his prestige, power, and psychological equilibrium began its horrific deterioration. If matters persisted as they were, and this terrifying woman was permitted to continue living inside the mansion, his master’s state would worsen further, and eventually, Matthew would lose everything he believed in, ending up in a state of absolute ruin and a total loss of meaning in his life.

However, there was a minor problem... In truth, it wasn’t minor at all; rather, it was vaster than anything he had ever confronted in his entire existence!

That woman—the Empire of Blood—was legendarily powerful, rendering Matthew in a direct confrontation with her akin to a defenseless infant standing bare before a destructive cosmic supernova explosion. He wouldn’t be capable of fleeing, nor would he possess the power to even open his mouth to utter a single word before her aura. The only one who possessed the power to deter her and handle her was his master, Cain... who had now become as clear as the sun that he had undergone a complete emotional brainwashing, and had become vastly weaker than before after the incident in which he was forced to suppress Lucy.

Yet Matthew was not the type to abandon his master so easily. Thus, his mind began operating at its absolute maximum capacity to weave a rescue strategy.

Ten days flashed by with the speed of lightning...

And ten days were nothing short of hell for Matthew, who was monitoring the situation with intense proximity.

Every single day, that woman would enter his master’s private suite for a few completely enclosed minutes, entirely alone together. After those few counted minutes elapsed, Lucy would emerge in her full, majestic true appearance, completely shedding her prior guise of the maid "Maxi." Following her, his master Cain would exit the room in a psychological state that grew progressively worse day after day... laughing immensely, weeping in equal measure, and clutching his chest in sheer helplessness, as though being drained drop by drop.

During that time, every single instance Matthew secured a single minute of free time, he would isolate himself completely within his darkened chamber, grasping his pen to begin drafting and sketching military and strategic blueprints to overthrow Lucy and rid themselves of her before she finished off whatever remained of his master’s sanity.

He had literally written hundreds of strategies... but the fatal flaw was that all of those plans, upon factoring in the mathematical data and Lucy’s overwhelming power, invariably terminated with one inevitable result written in bold lettering: [The Immediate Execution of Matthew].

He was on the verge of believing and convincing himself that he was the worst tactical assistant in history and a disgrace to all noble assistants, yet his passion for loyalty never perished.

"My Lord... I shall rescue you from the clutches of this witch no matter the cost, do not worry..." Matthew whispered to himself as he folded his documents.

In the dead of night, upon an entirely isolated island in the furthest reaches of the seas, surrounded on every side by the churning waters of the roaring ocean—whose colossal waves clashed with violence and madness as if determined to capsize the island and erase it from existence...

Upon that precise spot stood a towering black spire, centering the island entirely and piercing through the clouds. The tower unleashed a violent, continuous aura of absolute dominion—a heavy aura that made one perceive that nothing in this entire world could move or displace it from its position.

This legendary spire was none other than: The Spire of the Supreme Law of Transmigrators—the secret and primary headquarters of the Great Transmigrator Organization.

At the colossal steel gateway of the towering spire, Matthew stood. However, this time he lacked the customary black cloth that veiled his mouth.

He manifested with his full face exposed for the first time, revealing sharp features and dark skin that clearly and overtly demonstrated his lineage to the rare and terrifying "Shadow" race.

He approached the massive gateway with calmness and steadiness, and because he possessed supreme clearance, the gateway parted automatically with a deep, mechanical-magical resonance. The doors moved with slowness, and when they finally unfurled, the vast, magnificent courtyard of the spire materialized before him.

Centering it completely was an exceedingly gargantuan statue, carved from a rare volcanic stone, depicting a handsome, muscular man whose heart had been pierced by a frigid arrow as he appeared in a posture of impending fall.

This magnificent statue—according to what his master Cain had previously disclosed—was the manifestation of an ancient, titanic deity who used to be called "Baldur," the personification of lost light and beauty.

And atop the very peak of this colossal statue’s head rested an exceedingly small, simple stone coated in gray, which no naked eye could initially discern. However, the moment Matthew entered, this small stone suddenly shifted and rolled slowly until it plummeted from the summit of the statue’s head, descending downward...

As it fell through the air, this stone began to expand and grow disproportionately and rapidly, until it crashed upon the earth with power, generating a seismic aftershock, transforming into a massive boulder that opened and adapted to reveal the form of a broad-shouldered stone golem, a brilliant green energy radiating through its hollow, vacant eye sockets.

"Oh... it is you, Matthew... Since the Deputy Commander-in-Chief himself is present here at such an hour, it undoubtedly signifies that there is an exceedingly critical and urgent mission demanding our intervention," the golem spoke in a thunderous voice resembling the shattering of mountains.

This living boulder was "The Great Earth Spirit - Todd," the guardian of the gateway and protector of the spire, holding a 7-star rank within the organization—an ancient, primordial spirit thousands of years old, classified at the summit of the noble level.

Matthew countered in a rigid tone, his eyes piercing,

"Yes, Todd... it is a matter of life and death for the entire organization... Summon all the Supreme Stars immediately, without exception!"

Todd’s stone expressions hardened further than they already were, registering the severity of the situation. Within a few fleeting moments, Todd unleashed an emergency general summon via his specialized earth magic predicated upon the "vibrational frequencies of the soil"—encrypted frequencies capable of traveling through the strata of the earth to reach any location across the world, instantly understood by the targeted Supreme Stars as a mental transmission.

Exactly two hours elapsed...

And the Supreme Stars of the organization, ranging from the (7-star) rank to the ultimate elite (9-star) rank, were all assembled within the grand council chambers of majestic Gothic architecture, encircling a massive roundtable crafted from magical oak wood.

The atmosphere was heavily charged with tension.

All the elite seats were occupied, with the exception of one primary, sovereign seat positioned at the head of the table... a vacant and awe-inspiring throne that no creature in the hall dared approach or sit upon, for it was the exclusive seat of the Absolute Leader, Cain Oster.

Matthew was the sole individual seated in the chair directly adjacent to that vacant throne in his capacity as the Deputy Commander.

On the exact opposing end, directly facing Cain’s seat, sat the second most powerful individual in the entire organization after the Duke—an individual appearing in the form of a venerable, dignified old man with ordinary horns protruding from his head, enveloped by a stable and potent aura... yet in reality, he was none other than "Levra"... the Great Demon King!

The attendees within this hall represented the elite of the elites, the terrifying trump card of this world. A heavy silence loomed, and the decisive moment arrived for Matthew to declare the monumental matter that had compelled him to summon this legendary assembly.

Matthew stood, locking eyes with the commanders and sovereigns seated before him, and spoke in a decisive voice that resonated throughout the expanse of the hall:

"Gentlemen... I declare tonight the commencement of the most dangerous, complex, and paramount strategic mission since the very inception of the Transmigrator Organization up unto this day..."

Everyone held their breath, necks strained, and every titan and 9-star powerhouse listened with the entirety of their senses and souls, anticipating the forthcoming word to learn the identity of the cosmic adversary threatening their existence...

Matthew took a profound breath, speaking in an intensely grave tone devoid of any jest:

"In truth... Lord Cain... is in love!"

An abrupt, absolute silence engulfed the hall... a silence that stretched for seconds that felt like hours, as the Demon King Levra blinked his eyes with sheer blankness, Todd’s green eyes ceased their flashing, and the commanders exchanged silent glances... This was, quite literally, the most absurd, bizarre, and illogical thing they had ever heard throughout their entire primordial existences!
