Chapter 435: Chapter 310: Holographic Projection of the Otherworld
The weather in Dongwu City of the Spirit Realm wasn’t great today; the sky was gloomy and overcast.
"Tsk, looks like it’s going to rain," Lin Li muttered to himself as he walked out of the inn, glancing up at the overcast sky.
In the distance, five burly men with tattoos on the backs of their hands stood by the street, watching Lin Li emerge from the inn. They discussed him in low voices.
"Around twenty, short hair, fair-skinned, scholarly air, wearing gray clothes in an unusual style..."
"Boss, the description of the murderer in the letter matches this guy perfectly. It has to be him."
"He’s getting into a carriage. Let’s follow him, quick. Don’t let him get away."
The burly, bald man glanced at the letter in his hand, then shifted his gaze to the young man boarding the carriage in the distance.
"Follow him."
After speaking, he stuffed the letter into his pocket, boarded a nearby carriage with his four underlings, and set off after the one that had just departed.
Lin Li hailed a carriage at the inn’s entrance and asked the driver where he could find a real estate agent to buy a house.
"Sir, you’re looking for a real estate agent?"
"Yes. Driver, do you know any reliable ones? If you do, could you give me a recommendation?"
"Sure can. I’ll take you to one with a good reputation. Hop in!"
Lin Li boarded the carriage. He chatted with the driver, letting the man take him to the highly reputable real estate agency he had mentioned.
After they had traveled some distance, another carriage began following them. It didn’t speed up to get closer to Lin Li’s carriage, instead maintaining a set distance behind.
Engrossed in his conversation with the driver, Lin Li didn’t notice he was being followed. After all, with so many carriages coming and going on the street, it would be difficult to spot a tail.

"Whoa..."
Pulling on the reins to stop the horse, the driver parked the carriage by the side of the road and spoke to his passenger.
"We’re here, sir."
Lin Li stepped down from the carriage. After paying the fare, he walked toward the real estate agency up ahead.
The agency the driver had recommended was larger than Lin Li had expected, something he could tell just from its footprint.
The building occupied over a thousand square meters, at least twice the size of the surrounding shops. With guards standing watch at the entrance, a single glance was enough to tell that this agency was quite formidable.
And that was indeed the case. According to the driver, this agency was the property of some great lord and had many excellent listings.
Perhaps because it was so early in the morning, the real estate agency was empty of customers.
The employees on duty sat idly at their stations, either flipping through documents or chatting quietly amongst themselves.
When Lin Li walked into the agency’s main hall, all the employees immediately looked his way.
The staff members merely sized him up for a few moments before looking away.
It was probably because Lin Li was young and dressed in simple, gray linen clothes. Based on a quick observation, the experienced staff concluded he was just a passerby looking around, not a potential client.
’This Otherworld’s real estate agents feel a lot like the ones on Blue Star, except they don’t cold-call clients,’ Lin Li grumbled internally as he observed the agents of this Otherworld.
"Hello, sir. Is there anything you need?" a young girl, perhaps only seventeen or eighteen, asked quietly as she approached Lin Li.
This young girl was a new hire. Seeing that Lin Li had been looking around for several minutes without anyone helping him, she decided to approach and greet him herself.
Lin Li was in the middle of comparing the real estate agents of two different worlds when he suddenly heard someone address him. He turned to look at the speaker.
"I’d like to buy a house. Could you please show me some options?"
"Huh?!!" The veteran employees in the distance were stunned to hear Lin Li tell the girl he wanted to buy a house. ’Shouldn’t this customer have just said he was only looking and would call for help if he needed it?’ they thought.
As a newcomer, the girl’s face lit up with excitement the moment she heard Lin Li say he wanted to buy a house, an emotion plain for all to see.
"Sir, please follow me." Unable to hide her excitement, the girl gestured for Lin Li to follow her in a flustered flurry.
Lin Li simply gave a silent smile at the girl’s awkwardness and quietly followed her.
Inside a room used for receiving clients, the girl invited Lin Li to sit and poured him a cup of tea.
After seeing Lin Li take a sip of tea, the girl handed him a picture album and asked, "May I have your surname, sir?"
"My surname is Lin."
"Mr. Lin, my surname is Wang, but you can just call me Xiaowang. The houses in this album are all recent listings. Please take a look and see if there’s anything you like..."
"Mm." Lin Li nodded, then opened the album in his hands.
’Not bad. The illustrations of the houses in the album are very detailed. They must have been done by a professional artist. However...’
