Chapter 362: Chapter 275: An Extremely Nonsensical Reason for a Fight

"Phew..." After downing half a bottle of mineral water each, Lin Li and Su Yue both let out a long sigh, feeling utterly refreshed.

Just then, Lin Li asked, "Are there any good restaurants around here?"

"There is. I looked it up online earlier. Not far from the pier, there’s a place that serves grilled fish. Let’s go there for lunch!"

Su Yue knew Lin Li would agree with her suggestion. As she spoke, she pulled out her phone, opened the map app, and started looking for the restaurant’s location.

"Sounds good."

"The restaurant is right here. Take a look."

Lin Li looked at the map on the phone Su Yue held out to him, which showed the location of the grilled fish restaurant marked with a pin.

After memorizing the location, he nodded and said, "It’s five kilometers away. That’s not exactly close!"

"It’s not that bad! It’ll be a quick drive. We just spent over two hours on a ferry, and I’m starving. Let’s get going!" Su Yue urged.

VRRROOOM...

Lin Li started the car. He turned the wheel, made a U-turn, and began heading toward the restaurant Su Yue had picked out.

...

Bright sunlight shone on the trees lining the street, casting dapples of light on the ground. A line of ants marched across these patches of sun, scurrying toward an ice cream cone that had fallen nearby.

"Huh?!!!"

"That’s weird. The map clearly shows the restaurant is supposed to be right here. Why isn’t it?"

After parking in a nearby lot, Su Yue had followed her phone’s navigation, leading Lin Li at a brisk pace to the restaurant she had chosen.

But when they arrived at the destination marked on the map, all they found was a shop with its doors shut tight and its interior completely empty.

It was rare for Su Yue to make a mistake like this, and Lin Li, feeling the opportunity was too good to pass up, seized the chance to tease her. "Well, look at the place you picked. Great choice. So reliable."

"Hmph..." Su Yue shot Lin Li a glare. Just as she was about to suggest finding a different restaurant, a passing elderly man stopped. He looked at the two of them standing by the storefront and asked, "Young people, are you looking for the grilled fish restaurant?"

"Yes, we are, sir," Su Yue replied. "I read online that there was a really good grilled fish place here. Do you know what happened to it?"

The old man lived in the neighborhood and knew exactly why the restaurant was gone. He immediately began to explain.

"The landlord wanted to raise the rent, but the restaurant owner refused. They couldn’t reach an agreement, so the owner just moved the whole business elsewhere."

"Oh, I see! Looks like we were too late. Thank you, sir." Su Yue nodded, thanking the man before turning to Lin Li. "The restaurant moved. Let’s just find somewhere else for lunch."

Lin Li was about to agree when the old man spoke up again. "You don’t have to find another place. The owner didn’t move it far.

If you want their grilled fish, just walk straight down this road and take a turn at the next intersection. You’ll see the new location."

’What a lucky break!’ She hadn’t expected the new location to be so close. Su Yue thanked the old man again, then turned to Lin Li, pleasantly surprised. "Come on, let’s go check it out."

"Mhm." Lin Li nodded. He and Su Yue headed in the direction the helpful old man had pointed. They turned the corner at the intersection and walked a little further.

Just as the old man had said, they spotted a bustling, newly opened grilled fish restaurant on the side of the street.

Lin Li glanced at the restaurant across the street. Seeing that it already had quite a few customers, he remarked, "It’s not even the lunch rush yet, and it’s already this packed. Business must be good."

"Let’s go," Su Yue said. They crossed the street and entered the bustling restaurant.

"Welcome!" a server at the cashier’s desk greeted them the moment they stepped inside.

"Do you have any private rooms?" Su Yue asked, taking off her sunglasses and putting them in her purse.

"We do."

"We’ll take a private room, please."

The server behind the counter nodded. She then called over a coworker to lead Lin Li and Su Yue to a private room on the first floor, near the staircase.

Although the room wasn’t in the best location, the interior itself was quite pleasant.

After settling into the room, Lin Li and Su Yue quickly ordered a grilled fish and a few side dishes. They chatted while sipping on the complimentary tea provided by the restaurant.

"I’m going to use the restroom," Lin Li, who’d had a bit too much tea, said to Su Yue before standing up and leaving the room.

He asked a server for directions. A moment later, on his way back from the restroom, he noticed a crowd had gathered at the restaurant’s entrance.

’What’s going on? Why are all these people blocking the entrance?’ Lin Li thought, slightly curious. He started walking toward the front of the restaurant.

...

"Hey, can’t you two just talk this out? Please, stop fighting...!"

An older, gray-haired woman pleaded with two middle-aged men who were grappling with each other, both reeking of alcohol.

In the middle of the street, a thin man and a heavyset man, both middle-aged, were locked in a grapple, each trying to throw the other to the ground while shouting obscenities.
