Chapter 408: Chapter 408: He’s Here

It took Ethan Kingsley a moment to realize this young woman was flirting with him. Instead of being put off in the slightest, he was actually even more delighted.

"Are you sure you want to be my girlfriend?" Ethan Kingsley countered, a playful tease in his voice.

Claire Sinclair said with a grin, "A lot of people are saying you’re my rumored boyfriend."

"Heh..." Ethan Kingsley smiled faintly. "So, are you interested in making that rumor a reality?"

Claire Sinclair’s tone grew more serious. "Let’s just drop it. Mr. Kingsley’s female fans are all over the country. I wouldn’t dare make enemies of every woman in the nation."

"I’m not used to such high praise," Ethan Kingsley said frankly.

Claire Sinclair smiled. "I’m just speaking the truth."

"Alright, you win. I can’t tell if you’re complimenting me or taking a dig at me. You reporters certainly have a way with words."

Claire Sinclair narrowed her eyes but didn’t reply.

’If a reporter couldn’t talk, what good would they be? Heh heh...’

Ethan Kingsley sighed softly. "Well, I’ll let you get back to it. See you later."

With that, Ethan Kingsley and his assistant headed upstairs.

Claire Sinclair nonchalantly looked away, getting ready to head backstage herself.

Jasmine Sinclair suddenly spoke up. "Claire Sinclair, you know Ethan Kingsley that well?"

"What’s it to you?" Claire Sinclair said coolly before walking around her and leaving.

Jasmine Sinclair stood rooted to the spot, seething. Her fists were clenched so tightly that her nails dug into her palms, but she didn’t even feel the pain.

’Damn bitch. Let’s see how long you can stay so smug!’

During the half-hour arrival window, all the domestic guests had made their appearance, but there was still no sign of Adrian Quincy.

The banquet was about to begin. Claire Sinclair left the backstage area and entered the main hall by herself, joining the crowd to wait with the others.

’According to the event schedule, Princess Morinka should be arriving any minute now.’

Just as her mind began to wander, the sound of people falling into formation echoed from the hall’s entrance. Everyone turned to look, their curiosity piqued.

Two rows of ceremonial guards trotted in from outside in perfect order, taking up positions on either side of the red carpet.

’She’s finally here!’

A graceful and noble figure, flanked by the ceremonial guards, slowly stepped onto the red carpet.

It was Yarrow’s most beloved Third Princess, Morinka...

She possessed the most perfect features of a Westerner: fair, delicate skin, deep-set blue eyes, a high-bridged nose, and sensual red lips. Dressed in a voluminous gown, she radiated an innate nobility that perfectly embodied the temperament of European aristocracy.

She was the very picture of a fairy-tale princess.

"Princess Morinka is so beautiful!"

"I never thought I’d get to see Princess Morinka with my own eyes. I feel so blessed!"

"I wish I could take a photo..."

The people around her were excited, but also regretful that they couldn’t capture Princess Morinka’s beauty on camera.

Claire Sinclair, however, was unfazed. Her gaze didn’t linger on Princess Morinka for long before sweeping straight toward the entrance.

’What’s keeping him?’

The moment the thought crossed her mind, a noble and elegant man appeared in her line of sight.

’He’s finally here!’

He was draped in a military-green cape, his black combat boots striking a steady, powerful rhythm. With a towering and imperious stature and a handsome face that was both solemn and unforgiving, he was like a deity descended from the heavens. A soul-stealing chill lurked in the depths of his eyes.

The temperature in the room seemed to drop by several degrees.

Aiden Howkins and Quentin Zane flanked him on his left and right. His aura of absolute command instantly eclipsed the beautiful impression Princess Morinka’s arrival had left just moments before.

Everyone gasped in unison, completely unable to tear their eyes away from him.
