Chapter 139: Chapter 139: Reigning Supreme

"Hey, who do you think you’re cursing at?" Boss Lynch shot up as if someone had stepped on his tail. Bristling with rage, he slammed his hands on the table and glared down at Claire Sinclair.

Startled by the loud slam, Claire Sinclair felt a flicker of fear. But she forced herself to remain composed and retorted, "I’m talking to you, you old lech. Why don’t you take a good, long look in the mirror? You’re so repulsive, and you want to be my sugar daddy? Are you even worthy? You’re trash!"

The more she spoke, the more Claire Sinclair realized that telling someone off actually felt pretty good, especially when she was in the right.

’I can totally handle this. There’s no reason to be scared at all!’

Boss Lynch’s face flushed crimson with rage. He furiously cursed, "You stinking whore! So you want to do this the hard way, is that it? I’ll make you see what happens when you cross me—"

"Dexter Lynch!" A stern voice suddenly cut in, abruptly halting Boss Lynch’s arrogant tirade.

Boss Lynch instinctively glanced back to see a regal and immensely domineering figure approaching from across the room, flanked by two rows of burly men in black suits.

The aura he projected was like that of a king surveying his domain, intimidating everyone present. The air grew cold, as if it were the dead of winter, and the color drained from Boss Lynch’s face.

In an instant, every eye in the hall was drawn to the scene.

"Who is that? He’s so handsome!"

"They’re so cool!"

"Oh my god... oh my god, oh my god, it’s people from Quincy Manor! I recognize that adjutant! He’s... Adjutant Hawkins!"

"No way, why would people from Quincy Manor come to a place like this? What’s going on?"

Claire Sinclair was also stunned. She had never imagined Adrian Quincy would make an entrance like this.

Bringing so many people, he looked more like he was here to arrest someone, not to see her.

Soon, the procession came to a halt in front of the pair.

Adrian Quincy didn’t spare the girl a glance. His cold, predatory gaze slowly settled on Boss Lynch before locking onto the man’s eyes, feeling like a sharp blade piercing straight through his body.

Boss Lynch couldn’t help but shudder. His body went rigid, as if caught in a binding spell, and he didn’t dare to take a breath.

"Y-Young Master Quincy..."

The one who had shouted "Dexter Lynch" was Aiden Howkins.

Aiden Howkins led two men past Adrian Quincy to confront Dexter Lynch.

"Oscar Lynch, you are implicated in commercial fraud and the illegal sale of confidential information. We are placing you under formal arrest. Please cooperate with our investigation."

With that, Aiden Howkins gestured with his eyes to the two men behind him.

His two subordinates immediately moved forward and seized Oscar Lynch.

Oscar Lynch was completely dumbfounded. He stammered, "I didn’t... I was forced to do it, I didn’t... You’ve got the wrong person..."

Aiden Howkins looked to Adrian Quincy. "Young Master Quincy, your orders?"

Adrian Quincy said impassively, "Take him back and interrogate him thoroughly."

"Yes, sir!" Aiden Howkins gave a crisp military salute, then escorted the man away with his two subordinates.

Adrian Quincy did not leave right away. His cool, aloof gaze slowly swept over to Claire Sinclair, who was looking on with an adorably dazed expression.

Seeing the girl’s enchanting appearance, an almost imperceptible flicker of admiration flashed in the man’s eyes before he quickly regained his composure. He slowly leaned down and whispered in her ear, "I’ll be waiting for you in the third-floor conference room."

After speaking, Adrian Quincy elegantly straightened up, walked around the girl, and left.

Claire Sinclair stood rooted to the spot in a daze, her heart hammering wildly in her chest.

It wasn’t until his powerful aura had completely faded that she finally snapped out of it. She spun around abruptly to look at his departing figure, a pang of disappointment welling up inside her.
