The Elf Banquet Hall in Condolence, North of Reira

As I stepped off the carriage, the view of the city, with its many towering temples, immediately came into sight.

“Greetings, sir.”

“Well, well, look who it is! Our Trudia senator! How have you been?”

The scene I was witnessing through the Dream Constellation's power, based on the memories of the Apostle of Moderation, was a special and lavish banquet prepared exclusively for the High Elves.

Though it was crafted with the elves’ unique aesthetic style, it was far removed from the natural, tree-dwelling, primitive architectural style most humans associate with elves.

‘High Elves.’

Among elves, those who possessed a special bloodline, reaching adulthood and awakening to their powers, became members of this superior race.

They were the elite of the traditional elven ruling class... the special elves.

Ordinary elves had lived in harmony with nature and in more primitive environments until they arrived in the modern continent. However, High Elves had long lived luxuriously, even in the past, ruling like nobles.

“Senator, good day.”

“Ah, well, if it isn’t Senator Trudia! How have you been?”

The scene I was seeing was of a lavish banquet for High Elves, where those from the ruling Senate were engaged in lively conversation.

In the midst of the pure white elves, there was one striking dark-skinned dark elf woman among them.

“Just looking at her makes me want to puke. How could a dark elf, who should be working in cotton fields, be given a position?”

“A dark elf consular... What is the governor thinking?”

“How should we know? It’s the Primera family’s doing, so we just follow along.”

Although the dark elf appeared to have a special position, equivalent to a senator in their council, she was isolated at the banquet.

No one spoke to her, nor did anyone approach her.

Across the hall, there was an area where the children of the High Elves were being looked after while their parents enjoyed the banquet.

“Eveve! Try to catch me!”

“I’ll get you!”

...This reminds me of a scene I saw back in the Magitech Engineer's time.

So, elves and humans aren’t all that different, huh?

Among the children, the elf girl, who was the main character in this dream, was leading a group of kids while holding a toy sword.

“I, Safira Primera, command you! Follow me!”

““Waaah!””

Since elves lived in a matriarchal society, it wasn’t unusual for the girl to show a leadership role, like a gang leader of the street, but...

‘Is this the same elf girl I saw before?’

The calm, quiet, and gentle elf I had seen... was a wild and reckless girl in her youth?

It was quite a shock.

“Bring me the enemy commander!”

At the girl’s command, her elf subordinates dragged a black-skinned elf boy, who had been sitting in a corner, from both sides.

“Ha, no! Stop!”

The boy struggled, but his weak body couldn’t escape from the firm High Elf girls.

“Ugh!”

The girls forced the boy to kneel.

“Enemy commander Gaizerus, lift your head!”

The boy, who appeared so weak that even a girl of his age could overpower him, was none other than the hero who had eliminated the widespread discrimination against dark elves among the elves.

And now, he was the Constellation consumed by the sin of Lust, the one I had to deal with.

***

“Hey! Lust!”

Bang!

With a kick from the girl, the door flew open with a loud noise.

It was an unexpectedly powerful force for such a small, delicate body, but considering she was an elf—particularly a member of a special bloodline—it wasn’t surprising.

“You!”

“...What is it?”

The dark elf boy, Gaizerus, who had been quietly sitting and reading a book, turned his head.

“You’re early!”

The girl angrily stomped toward the boy with a furious expression.

“...I just told the truth.”

“That’s what makes you early! Hey, come here.”

“W-Wait a minute! W-Wah!”

The girl forcefully threw herself onto the boy.

They both fell to the ground, with the boy underneath.

“This won’t do. You need to be punished!”

“Ahhhhh! It hurts!”

“I want you to feel the pain, you little brat!”

...I can hardly believe that this is the same apostle I met earlier, the one who spoke so calmly.

This weak boy is the Gaizerus?

The conqueror who united all elves under his rule?

I couldn’t even begin to imagine what had transpired between them.

“Humph! Do you know what will happen if I tell my mom?”

“...”

“Better behave yourself!”

Gaizerus' mother was the first-ever dark elf consular.

Given how extremely discriminatory the elf culture was toward dark elves, it seemed nearly impossible to achieve such a position without help. However, the power of the Primera family, one of the three most influential high elf families and the ruling consuls at the time, made it possible.

From the Primera family’s point of view, they just needed a title to appease the dark elves' complaints, and it didn’t matter who held the position as long as it was filled.

Because of this, at this point, Gaizerus likely couldn’t rebel against the girl.

“Your family doesn’t have anything like this, right?”

From Safira Primera's perspective, the boy might just be a toy to be played with.

“You, you like spring cotton, don’t you?”

Of course, it seemed a bit clumsy in how she expressed her affection, but still.

Perhaps Gaizerus' mother was chosen as the dark elf consular because of the girl’s preference for the boy.

But still, I can’t imagine this situation going according to the real history.

What in the world happened?

And I was about to find out soon enough.

Behind the Elf Senate Headquarters

A group of six or so dark elf women, their dark faces concealed under black masks, silently snuck into the shadows.

“Is everyone here?”

At the question from the apparent leader of the group, the others nodded grimly.

“Good. Let’s reaffirm our objective. As briefed earlier, our mission is to strike back at those white pigs who exploit our brothers and live luxuriously off the spoils.”

Each of them double-checked the black weapons they held.

“We’ll capture a special target to force them to comply with our demands. Understood?”

Once again, the black heads nodded in agreement.

“Good. Don’t forget. Be cautious of the white ones, and always move unpredictably. Let’s go! Move those hefty butts!”

The dark elves melted into the shadows.

Through the shadows, they easily bypassed the Senate’s security system and infiltrated the building.

Despite the presence of many elf guards inside the Senate, none of them noticed the infiltrators.

They blended into the shadows completely, undetectable.

Having reached the heart of the Senate building, they entered the children’s play area.

“Damn! It’s too white in here!”

One dark elf, now visible, shielded their eyes from the blinding brightness.

“What, did you expect their lair to be dark? You fool.”

The leader, who had revealed himself, smiled as he spotted a girl sitting on top of a black elf boy.

“I found her.”

“There’s only one?”

“One’s enough.”

...!

“Wait! Move aside!”

“What? Are you trying to be early again! This time it won’t work!”

“No, that’s not it!”

“Eh? Eh?”

The boy exerted superhuman strength, pushing the girl aside.

Then, he stood in front of her to shield her from the intruders.

“Good instincts.”

The dark figures approached him.

Sensing their unsettling power, the boy swallowed nervously.

“This is the playroom for the children of the Senate members. Who are you?”

They were intruders.

There was no doubt.

From the masked faces, it was clear that they didn’t come here for any good purpose, nor did they enter through normal means.

‘I need to buy time.’

There would be plenty of guards outside.

The problem was, the soundproofing in this unnecessarily extravagant building was so perfect that even if he shouted, they wouldn’t hear him.

I could only hope that Safira would go out and bring the guards in.

“Hm...”

The leader tilted his head, displeased, after hearing the boy’s words.

“Appearance-wise, you’re every bit our ally. Why is it that your words and actions are no different from those of the white ones?”

Slash!

“Ahhh!”

A dark elf, emerging from the shadows behind the girl, restrained her and covered her mouth.

“Sa-Safira!”

“It looks like you’ve been brainwashed by the white ones. Don’t worry. We’ll restore you to your true, original self.”

“What...?”

Thud!

The boy’s vision started to fade.

That was the last memory of him in the Senate.
