Chapter 724: Chapter 388: Sect Lineage Disciple Recruitment (Part 3)

Upon hearing this, Li Mu chuckled, then lightly coughed and slowly said, "Since many of you have these questions, I shall continue explaining the connection among the remaining three!"

"Before the Dao is known, the difficulty lies in methods; once the Dao is known, the difficulty lies in wealth. This ’wealth’ can be divided into inner and outer wealth. Outer wealth refers to all expenses required for cultivation, such as Spirit Stones, pills, Magical Artifacts, etc., all fall within the category of outer wealth. Although these external items are not the essence of cultivation, they can assist cultivators significantly, enabling them to more smoothly embark on the path to Dao. However, acquiring outer wealth is not easy and requires effort during cultivation."

"As for inner wealth, it is more mysterious. It does not refer to Spirit Stones or pills but instead refers to a cultivator’s own Essence Qi, cultivation talent, and cultivation path. Essentially, it is the continuous refinement of one’s Essence Qi, making it purer and stronger. Thus, the cultivation of inner wealth is the root of cultivation. If a cultivator is adept at cultivating inner wealth, they can achieve twice the result with half the effort, and their cultivation will naturally advance with Divine Speed."

"However, the relationship between inner and outer wealth must also be balanced. Over-reliance on outer wealth while neglecting the cultivation of inner wealth can lead to an unstable foundation, making it difficult for cultivation to last; whereas constantly refining inner wealth while neglecting the supplementation of outer wealth might make breaking through bottlenecks difficult due to resource scarcity. Therefore, cultivators must assess life’s conditions and reasonably distribute the input of inner and outer wealth according to their own situation."

"Everyone must understand this principle, the cultivation path is long and requires mastering both inner and outer methods to achieve the Great Dao. I hope you all keep this in mind and do not forget this path."

After Li Mu’s words, the seven Sect Elders all nodded in agreement, and the disciples also kept this in mind.

"Next, let’s discuss companion: ’Companion’ denotes a partner and fellow seeker on the path of cultivation. A good companion can explore the cultivation path with you, support each other, and progress together. On the cultivation journey, finding like-minded companions is undoubtedly a great blessing."

...

Li Mu continued, "As for ’Place’, it represents the environment for cultivation. A place abundant in Spiritual Qi, with a tranquil environment for cultivation, is just like a considerate guide, providing endless help and insight to cultivators. Cultivating in such a place not only allows them to achieve twice the result with half the effort but also greatly enhances the cultivator’s Heart Realm."

Li Mu paused, his gaze lingering on the Seven Gods Mountain outside the Ancestral Hall, then looked at the disciples solemnly and instructed, "The Seven Gods Mountain, where I reside, is a Grotto Heaven Blessed Land full of spiritual power, rich with Spiritual Qi and tranquil surroundings, making it a dream of a Holy Land for cultivators. You, as disciples of the Seven Profound Sect, are blessed to cultivate here. Therefore, you must cherish the Blessed Land provided by the sect and cultivate diligently, living up to the sect’s expectations."

"We certainly will live up to the sect’s expectations!" The disciples, their hearts surging, unanimously echoed with a loud and firm voice.

At this point, even Li Mu was inspired to take on disciples, though he planned to accept only a few Named Disciples first. Once their growth speed and qualities meet the requirements, Li Mu would then consider accepting them as Official Disciples.

"Enough chit-chat, now let’s begin the initiation ceremony." Li Mu glanced around at the disciples present, indicating as he continued, "I am willing to accept several Named Disciples. Those whose names I read out may step forward if willing. If you are not, you may choose to apprentice under other Elders. The test for Named Disciples is quite difficult, so consider carefully."

Upon hearing this, the disciples showed expressions of anticipation, for as disciples of the Seven Profound Sect, none were unaware of the Sect Master’s significance. The prominent figures attending the sect ceremony to congratulate were almost all there for him. Becoming his disciple, even as a Named Disciple, was far more promising than apprenticing under Sect Elders.

If one could be accepted as Li Mu’s Named Disciple, it would be a considerable opportunity. Besides, if one performs exceptionally, there is a possibility of being promoted to an Official Disciple in the future. The disciples’ gaze was fervently focused on Li Mu, full of desire.

"Zhao Tianchen, Su Hongxiu, Liu Yuqian, Lin Maosan, Ji Hao, Xiao Qingyun, Zhong Yuling!"

Li Mu scanned the group of disciples and slowly called out the seven names.

The seven whose names were called almost leaped with excitement. Their faces flushed red as they stepped out from the crowd, lining up in front of Li Mu.

Those whose names were not called showed expressions of envy and disappointment, but they understood this was the Sect Master’s choice, upon which they could only hope to apprentice under the seven Sect Elders.

"You seven, are you willing to become my Named Disciples? My tests aren’t easy; you need to achieve the Golden Core within a century before I consider accepting you as Official Disciples." Li Mu’s gaze was stern as he looked at the seven, asking solemnly.

"We are willing!" The seven kneeled simultaneously, answering with a loud and resolute voice.

"Very well, since you are willing, proceed with the Master-Kneeling Ceremony!" Li Mu nodded, gesturing for the seven disciples to step forward to begin this solemn ceremony.

Upon hearing this, the seven immediately stepped forward in unison and lined up before Li Mu, kneeling and bowing deeply three times. Each bow was accompanied by their clear and sonorous voices: "Disciple, greetings to Master!"

Li Mu quietly watched them perform the ceremony, a hint of satisfaction flashing in his eyes, as he smiled and welcomed, "Stand up!"

The seven respectfully stood up, their faces brimming with joy and excitement, automatically taking their place on both sides behind Li Mu, assuming their roles as disciples.

"Congratulations, Sect Master, on acquiring excellent disciples!"

Witnessing this scene, the seven Sect Elders were overjoyed and offered their congratulations to Li Mu.
