Chapter 411: Chapter 236: My Lord is Wise
"Bo Xiu."
After a moment of silence, Gu Zheng spoke.
"I am here, My Lord." Bo Xiu took a deep breath to steady his emotions and replied respectfully. "My Lord, please give me your orders."
"..." Gu Zheng cleared his throat and said directly, "I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint you. I don’t know how to leave either."
With that, Gu Zheng quickly recounted his recent experiences.
He concluded with a serious expression, "Those two Fourth-Order Undead Race Great Monarchs who fled here might be heavily injured, but they won’t die so easily. They must be hiding in some corner, recovering. You should return immediately and inform your Clan Leader and the other three races. Tell everyone not to go out alone."
"Even an injured Fourth-Order Undead Race Great Monarch can launch a surprise attack. Anyone who isn’t a King’s Body would find it almost impossible to escape."
"This..." Bo Xiu’s expression faltered, but he gritted his teeth, bowed to Gu Zheng, and said, "Could... could I ask you, My Lord, to return to the tribe with me? Our four races have truly been waiting for your arrival."
The experiences Gu Zheng described didn’t sound fake.
’The sudden turmoil in the Void Thunder Layer, an attack from an external force... that could only have been them unleashing the Godslaying Spear. It’s an ultimate technique, a powerful move that gathers the strength of all four races, a weapon capable of killing an Alien God.’
’And because of that, it confirmed that Gu Zheng is the person we have been waiting for.’
’He said he couldn’t leave, but maybe that’s only temporary?’
"Go to your place? Alright."
Gu Zheng thought for a moment and nodded. "Let’s go, then. The sooner we find those Undead Race Great Monarchs, the sooner we can rest easy."
"Thank you, My Lord!" Overjoyed, Bo Xiu turned and began to lead the way. "Please follow me, My Lord. The settlement of our Three-Eyed Race is not far from here."
WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
A bone-chilling wind howled through the air.
Bo Xiu was unaffected as he flew ahead.
Inside his Domain, Gu Zheng was also unaffected, and he followed close behind.
The two of them sped over the ground of ice sculptures and frozen layers for some distance before turning into a cluster of icebergs.
Bo Xiu, in the lead, quickly formed a few hand seals, condensing them into a pattern that he then shot into the air.
BZZZT—
POP!
The void trembled. A pattern made of triangles, circles, and other lines glowed brightly before scattering into the air and vanishing.
"My Lord, what I just released was a notification."
Bo Xiu turned his head to explain to Gu Zheng. "It’s to inform the other three races that you have been found, My Lord, and have come with me to the Three-Eyed Race. Before, ninety percent of our four races’ people were sent out to search for you."
"I see." Gu Zheng nodded and asked casually, "You keep mentioning the four races. Besides your Three-Eyed Race, who are the other three? By the way, one of them is called the Hidden Spirit Race, right?"
"Correct. The other three are the Two-Eared Race, the Toothless Race, and the Hidden Spirit Race," Bo Xiu replied. "The characteristic of the Two-Eared Race is that everyone has two pairs of slightly pointed ears. The characteristic of the Toothless Race is that none of them have teeth. As for the Hidden Spirit Race, they are the most unique. Their flesh and soul are one, making them Spirit Bodies, invisible to the naked eye."
"Interesting."
Gu Zheng understood. "You’ve been trapped here for thirty thousand years. What have you been eating? Also, I noticed you’re in the Heroic Body Realm, correct?"
"Yes, I am in the Third Realm," Bo Xiu replied. "There isn’t much we can eat here. One thing is the Cold Liquid Vegetable, a wild vegetable we discovered by chance. It can absorb Ice Cold Qi to grow, and most importantly, it can be cultivated. Another is the Ice Dragon Fruit, which grows beneath the ice layers and has patterns like carved ice dragons on its surface. Finally, there’s the flesh of two kinds of Ice Demons: the Frost Rabbit and the Cold Python."
"Speaking of the Cold Python, is that one over there?" Gu Zheng raised his hand and pointed to a five-meter-long creature clinging motionless to a cross-section of an iceberg cliff to their right.
From a distance, it looked like a slightly thick icicle.
"A Cold Python?"
Hearing this, Bo Xiu’s eyes lit up. He turned to look and couldn’t help but gasp in joyful surprise. "It really is a Cold Python! This is great!"
The moment the words left his mouth, he shot forward. He formed hand seals, and as his Divine Wondrous power surged, he condensed a Divine Mysterious Chain that snaked silently toward the cliff face.
SWOOSH~
The head of the chain coiled swiftly around the Cold Python, tying it up in a tight knot.
"HSSSSS~!"
Startled awake, the Cold Python’s thick, long body sprang up, dragging the Divine Mysterious Chain with it as it plummeted toward the base of the mountain.
"Where do you think you’re going!"
Bo Xiu shouted. A massive surge of his Divine Wondrous power pulled the Cold Python to a halt, immobilizing it in mid-air. Then, he rapidly coiled the chain around it again and again, binding it tightly before lifting it into his hand.
"Heh, looks like we’ll have an extra dish for dinner tonight."
His face beaming with excitement, Bo Xiu returned to Gu Zheng’s side, carrying the Cold Python whose aura fluctuations were only at the first order.
"Are these Cold Pythons rare?" Gu Zheng asked curiously.
"Yes, there aren’t many Cold Pythons, and they’re excellent at hiding their aura. If you hadn’t pointed it out, My Lord, I wouldn’t have noticed it at all," Bo Xiu explained. "What we eat most are Frost Rabbits. With those things, when you find one nest, you get several of them, and each one is very plump with decent meat. But no matter how plump or delicious they are, after eating them for so many years, we’ve gotten sick of them."
"Usually, when we go out hunting, our greatest hope is to find a Cold Python. Thanks to you today, My Lord, the little ones in the clan will get to eat some. They’ll be thrilled!"
Gu Zheng fell silent.
’Thirty thousand years with only four types of food to eat. Indeed, no matter how delicious they were, anyone would get tired of them.’
’But they had no choice but to eat.’
’Catching a Cold Python occasionally was a rare treat, a way to satisfy their cravings.’
Bo Xiu hadn’t noticed it earlier, but Gu Zheng could see it. This was, naturally, thanks to the Demon-Seeking Pot.
Even his Five Orifice Divine Techniques hadn’t detected it.
The Cold Python clung to the cliff face, its body like an icicle, not leaking the slightest hint of an aura. Its Vitality had also nearly vanished.
