Chapter 3782: Chapter 3773: Competition Everywhere
Early the next morning, Lin Yi was still asleep when he felt a weight on his head.
It was Little Nuonuo, who couldn’t stand steadily on the bed and plopped down onto his head.
Lin Yi reached out, hugged Little Nuonuo and pulled her into the covers, "Let’s sleep a bit more with Daddy."
"No more sleeping, Mommy said it’s time for you to get up for work."
"Let’s skip it, we’ll sleep a bit longer."
"You have to earn money to buy me Captain Wang Wang, you need to go to work."
Little Nuonuo crawled out of the covers, tugging on Lin Yi’s arm, trying to pull him out.
"Okay, okay, stop pulling, I’ll get up now."
Lin Yi reluctantly sat up from the bed, just as Ji Qingyan came over with his clothes.
"You’re only manageable by your daughter."
As she spoke, Ji Qingyan placed the clothes on the bed, "Wear these clothes today."
"Got it."
After getting up, Lin Yi went to the bathroom to freshen up, then changed clothes and had breakfast.
Ji Qingyan was responsible for taking the child, while Lin Yi drove to the TV station.
At the office, Lin Yi parked the car and went to the HR department, where he found Zhao Yuhuan and 18 already there.
Seeing Lin Yi, Zhao Yuhuan smiled and nodded, since they had met yesterday, even if they were not acquainted, a greeting was in order.
On the contrary, 18 seemed a bit surprised.
"You passed the interview?"
Lin Yi nodded, "Is that not okay?"
"I remember your written test score was second to last, and you still passed the interview?"
"Maybe my interview performance was decent."
"You really got lucky, it worked out," 18 said cheerfully.
Lin Yi glanced at him and said nothing more. After waiting outside for a while, Liu Shuang came out of the office.
"You three, come in for a moment."
The three entered the office one after another.
The area was over 60 square meters, with more than ten people busy at their workstations.
Some female colleagues glanced at Lin Yi instinctively as he entered.
"Regarding salary and benefits, they were covered during the recruitment, but I’ll briefly repeat," said Liu Shuang:
"The base salary is 6000, plus transportation, meal, and data allowances, totaling about 600 per month. If business trips are involved, the daily allowance is 280, with one day off each week. Your department also has bonuses and benefits, which vary by department. You can find out more after joining."
Liu Shuang paused and looked at the three. "Do you have any areas you want to know more about?"
Neither Lin Yi nor Zhao Yuhuan spoke, but 18 asked:
"I’ve heard there’s also five days of paid annual leave. Can we enjoy that benefit now upon joining?"
Liu Shuang glanced at him and said:
"That’s up to your department, ask your leader."
"Alright, got it."
Liu Shuang prepared three employment contracts and handed them over. "If there’s no problem, sign them, and I’ll take you over shortly."
The three took pens and signed their names on the contracts.
With that, the onboarding process was complete. Liu Shuang organized the contracts and led them to the self-media department, to Zhao Jing’s office.
"Director Zhao, I’ve brought them."
Zhao Jing nodded with a smile, "Thank you."
"No problem, Director Zhao, you go ahead."
After a greeting, Liu Shuang left, and Zhao Jing looked at the three and said:
"Let me tell you about the departmental work situation. The entire department has 12 groups, and I’m in charge of groups one to six. Recently, some people left, so I’ve reorganized existing personnel and created openings for two groups with your recruitment, placing you in groups five and six."
"It’s just us? No seniors to guide us?" Zhao Yuhuan asked.
"No, just you, two people per group."
"Then I’ll team up with Yu Han." 18 said:
"I studied broadcasting in college, and Yu Han does post-production, so we’re a great match."
Zhao Yuhuan frowned slightly but said nothing at the moment.
"Then you two can be in a group."
As she spoke, Zhao Jing picked up her phone and said, "Little Chen, come here."
Soon, a plump young man walked in.
His clothes were colorful, in his twenties, wearing trendy brand accessories on his wrist and neck, very fashion-forward.
"This is Chen Yuan, who joined last month and hasn’t been assigned a group yet; Lin Yi, you will be in a group with him."
"Is he an old employee?" 18 asked.
"He’s only been here a little over a month; not considered an old employee, but he has a bit more experience than you," Zhao Jing casually replied.
"This is a bit awkward. I thought there were just three of us, now we have another person; we need to ask his opinion for a proper group arrangement that satisfies everyone."
Zhao Jing glanced at 18, seeing through his little mind.
"18, you will team up with Chen Yuan and be group five. Lin Yi, you and Yu Han will be group six," Zhao Jing said:
"My work style is different; your group autonomy will be very high, handling your own work independently. I’ll minimize intervention and make sure to bring out all your talents."
Upon hearing Zhao Jing’s words, Lin Yi realized this woman seems to have some skill.
With 12 groups total, she manages groups one to six, competing with groups seven to twelve.
Even among groups one to six, there’s also competition between each group.
More interestingly, there’s competition between old and new employees here.
Normally, newcomers are guided by seniors upon joining, but she put all the seniors together and let the pure newbies stand alone to see what interesting things might happen; this is quite thoughtful.
"Does each group have only two people?"
"For now, yes. Start building the account, and when more people are needed, we’ll recruit accordingly," Zhao Jing said:
"The probation period is one month, the requirement is to create an account with over ten thousand followers, understand?"
"About the account’s content? For instance, which direction?" Lin Yi asked.
"None. Do whatever content you want, once you’ve decided, submit it for my review; as long as the account develops, it’s fine."
Lin Yi frowned slightly; this mode of operation was indeed much freer.
If they perform, they stay; if not, they swap out—a bit like an assembly line.
Zhao Jing nodded, "Little Chen, take them to their workstations; I’ll have the staff send computers and badges soon."
Everyone left one after another, and after reaching a spot near the window, Chen Yuan pointed to the workstation and said:
"This is group six’s workstation, this is where you’ll be."
"Alright, thank you."
Lin Yi and Zhao Yuhuan sat at the workstation, where a few books on journalism were placed, with nothing else.
Zhao Yuhuan looked at Lin Yi with a bit of idle curiosity, "Lin Bro, what should we do now?"
