Chapter 202: Fire wave

Alex joined them just what Rik’s eyes took on that glowing form again but instead of the man throwing long range attack at them, he just rushed them with his sword raised.

"Kill the other three." Azaroth said and then flunged himself forward to meet him. The sword he’s holding is big and heavy, completely unlike his own sword and he held it with two hands.

But the strength could override all that weakness because as he hefted it with his hands and swing. Whoosh! Clang! Their sword met and Rik’s eyes widen when the force from Azaroth pushed him back and made him staggered.

Azaroth didn’t let the opportunity go but before he could close the distance again, he suddenly stopped and jumped back. Just in time too! As glowing arrows slammed into the place he was before with a solid twack!

Now, it was Rik that closed the distance and started a furry of sword strikes that fell like iron rain, keeping Azaroth pinned and on the defensive. But contrary to Rik’s expectations, he didn’t have the chance to strike at Azaroth as he expected.

Azaroth also try to push back but all he could do was wiggle a little space for himself to breathe a little. The height difference also means that all of Rik’s attacks fall harder and faster.

Azaroth suddenly pushed forward as he saw a chance and they locked sword. Rik breath heavily on his face, his face now a soft glow. "I don’t know who you are but I’m sure you’re just pretending to be kids.

"How can you be this strong? What type of enchanted tools keep you in this shape?"

Azaroth didn’t reply and instead tightened his hand on the sword. Too bad that he couldn’t use the single enchantment in the sword because it’s cooling down. The enchantments sword have the ability to use one single powerful attack in a bust and then it takes its time to cool.

Rik only got angry when Azaroth didn’t reply and his face flared with a bright sharpness that made Azaroth want to jump back but that will give his opponent time to strike him!

So either way, he’ll get attacked close up!

It wasn’t that hard of a decision to make because he knew what attack is more dangerous. All he did was held the formation he wanted in his mind and then he jumped back as hard as he could from the light attack.

The attack missed him my inches as he’s already in the air but before he could touch down, Rik was already on him, a flash of dark green above him with his sword raised, ready to be brought down with his accumulate momentum.

Azaroth can’t properly defend against it in the air so he opened his mouth and powered the formation. ’Fire wave’

Fire jetted out, blasting out with rolling red orange heat that lit up the surrounding and made the temperature rose. Now, things have changed and it was Rik that couldn’t dodged the attack since he’s mid air.

He did the only thing that came to his mind and sent out the light flashing attack from his face. It slammed into the wave of fire and the two rolled but the fire is a wave and won’t stop that easy because Azaroth was moving backwards so the wave of fire will stay on the target. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Rik screamed as the fire blasted him, his armour grew hot and the essence he projects out didn’t save him. When the wave of fire ended Rik was gasping for air and his face burnt, the flesh of his chin got so burnt its showing the teeth bones underneath.

He took a step forward and he didn’t even have the energy to cry outloud from the pains that flared through his body. Azaroth nodded in satisfaction, he has used up a number of the essence in his core but it was a good call because now the man is looking like a burnt offering.

Rik took another step forward and his eyes couldn’t keep track of a blur that passed him. He just suddenly did not feel anything again as his head was removed from his neck.

Of the other three, only Alex and Catena are still fighting. Stallus had blew up the woman so badly half of her upper body was simply gone, except for the bits of bones held together by stringy flesh.

Catena is fighting a man that uses two daggers. The man’s armour is lighter and less bulky and he moved like eels in water, flowing around him with teeth of sharpened metal.

Catena waved his chains so fast and created a wall of spinning iron around himself, and that kept the man with the daggers away.

The man taunted him and called him a coward for hiding behind his wall. So Catena dropped the wall and in a blink the wan already crossed the distance and was on him in a flash, daggers coming down like fangs from a monster.

Catena went very still and released his hand from his chains completely. The daggers came down and the man thought he had an easy target because of the way he’s just standing there. But Catena’s hands suddenly blurred forward and caught the two hands holding the daggers.

The man’s eyes widen, he opened his mouth to say something but never got the chance as the earth shifted beneath him and he was impaled by numerous earth spikes.

Catena checked the daggers and he hissed. "Cheap! You can’t even use an enchanted tool! If I can sell that do you know how many food I can buy with it?"

Stallus snorted close to him. "Stop dreaming. How can you sell it here? And you Alex, stop playing with him and just finish him off!"

Alex grinned and then he began to fight with all his strength and each strike of his sword fell like lightning. It didn’t take him long to cut the man in two after many damage to his armour.
