"The Seeker’s Eye. Isn’t that the name of the special eye that your Ugly God blessed you with after you sacrificed the eyes of Hundred Virgin Girls?" asked Ashok with a wide smile.

Karzan’s face contorted in immediate rage. His breath came in quick, shallow bursts, "HOW DO YOU KNOW?" Karzan bellowed, his voice containing uncontrolled rage.

Karzan’s face twisted into an expression of pure fury with the mere mention of his sacred gift, it had struck at the very core of his being.

His name was one thing but the name of the blessing granted by the Great One even the nature and number of sacrifices. Karzan had to know, how could this kid possibly possess such knowledge?

Karzan’s explosive outburst left no room for doubt—it was a clear confirmation of his identity as a Cultist. As his words spilled forth, revealing the horrific nature of the sacrifice he had made, the faces of the three men present twisted in revulsion.

The Duke’s wanted to end Karzan’s life right then and there but he waited to see how Ashok would respond.

"That’s not the only thing I know. The eye that you call a blessing, allows you to look into someone’s deepest secret. But it’s not without its limitations." Said Ashok.

Karzan, his rage consuming him, no longer cared anymore and charged at Ashok. But before he could reach his target, a swift and brutal kick from Cassius landed squarely in his midsection.

The force of the blow sent Karzan hurtling backward, his body colliding with the stone wall near the roaring fireplace. He slowly crumpled to the ground as the heat of the flames licked his skin.

Karzan struggled to push himself up from the floor, his breath shallow and uneven, pain radiating through his body from the brutal kick.

Karzan glared at Ashok, his eyes burning with hatred, while he rose from the sofa with deliberate slowness, his movements calm and measured, and started walking in his direction.

"The first limitation is you cannot use your eye on the same person more than once. Second, you lack the talent to wield the eye to its full potential. The secrets you manage to uncover are limited—only those tied to the body, never the soul. You can barely scrape the surface of what the eye is truly capable of."

Ashok’s lips curled into a faint sneer, "Though, I suppose that particular limitation isn’t entirely your fault. It’s the ugly god’s mistake for choosing fools like you to bear such power."

Ashok now stood before Karzan, whose glare burned with such intensity that it seemed as though it could incinerate the very air between them. If looks could kill, Ashok would have been dead a thousand times over by now.

With gritted teeth, Karzan spoke, "If only I wasn’t sealed by these damn collars. I would’ve shown you, kid. You think you know everything, but you have no idea what I’m capable of."

"Is that so?" Ashok’s voice was laced with cold amusement. He turned to the Head Butler "Open the collar of this dog. I want to see if he can bite like he barks."

The Head Butler hesitated meeting Ashok’s demand and looked at the Duke after all he was the one with the final say. The Duke carefully pondered over the Ashok’s demand.

The Duke could sense that Ashok was extremely weak and Karzan was stronger than him. Yet, the Duke’s curiosity got the better of him. He wanted to see how long the kid’s boundless arrogance would last.

The Head Butler stepping towards Karzan, extended his hand above the Sealing Collar. A small magic circle formed beneath his palm.

CLINK.

The sound echoed in the still room as the collar snapped open, releasing Karzan from his constraints. It fell to the floor with a heavy thud, its purpose now fulfilled.

Ashok, unfazed stood with his hands casually tucked inside his pants pockets. "Now what will you do?" his voice was calm, almost bored, as though the Cultist’s threat meant little to him.

’What can he even do? In the game, Karzan was one of the weakest among the cultists. He barely has the strength to back up his threats. Yet, he’s risen in the ranks—why?

It’s because, in the future, he’ll master that eye of his. The one that’s so limited now. He will evolve it into the Eye of All Seeker, that no secret will be hidden from him.

Then he will gain the title Karzan, The Blackmailer. The one who can unravel the Empire with just a glance, exposing the deepest secrets of every noble. With those secrets, he’ll strengthen the cultist faction. Though that future is far ahead.’ thought Ashok

Karzan’s mind churned with frustration as he stood there. He was a C Ranker, stronger than Ashok in mana, but still far weaker than anyone else in the room.

He could sense that the others—Cassius, the Duke, even the Head Butler—were watching, waiting for his next move. He wasn’t stupid enough to rush in blindly.

Karzan sneered as he thought ’Foolish Kid, I’ll use my special eye on you, I’ll find the source of your knowledge. And once I do, even if I die in the process, my God will resurrect me. ’

Karzan’s focus sharpened, his eyes narrowing as he channeled his mana into the Seeker’s Eye, but what Karzan didn’t realize was that this moment was precisely what Ashok had been waiting for.

Ashok wanted to see if Karzan could figure out anything about Adlet by using his eye and waiting for him to speak.

As Karzan’s Seeker’s Eye activated, he let himself slip into an astral state, his consciousness diving deep beyond the surface of Ashok’s body. True to its name, the seeker will seek the secrets buried within a person.
