Chapter 175: Chapter 161: This Person is Not Simple! Who is the Prey?
Lu Feng was also watching these people, and he couldn’t help but scoff. Many of them were fooling around, each with a hot, scantily clad woman in his arms.
’Bringing women along to a weapons deal... they sure know how to live it up.’
The courtyard where Lu Feng and his group were staying wasn’t small at all.
It was a standalone villa.
It was large enough for their whole group.
The Kudar Clan wouldn’t come to negotiate until the next day, which meant they would probably spend the day monitoring them.
The group had just stepped inside the courtyard when a member of the Kudar Clan suddenly led a flock of chattering women in after them.
This flock of women was scantily clad and had nice figures. As for their looks, it was Lu Feng’s first time seeing women from this area. While they looked different from the women back home, he found them quite attractive.
The man from the Kudar Clan rattled off a speech.
Lu Feng couldn’t understand him, so Hadona translated directly: "He’s basically asking if we want some female companionship. He says these ladies are very skilled, can role-play anything you bosses want, and accommodate any position or location."
Naturally, they were also selling condoms and other performance enhancers.
Lu Feng was stunned when he heard this. Now he understood what was going on with the women in the other courtyards.
’The Kudar Clan really knows how to do business. Selling weapons while not forgetting to expand their other enterprises.’
The only word for it was impressive.
Lu Feng had no sexual interest in this. After all, he was something of a mental purist. Who knew how many men these women had been with? You’d finish with one, and in the blink of an eye, she’d be with someone else.
He found the whole thing disgusting.
However, Black Snake, Hadona, and the others looked eager. But since Lu Feng hadn’t given the word, they didn’t dare to make a move.
"You guys go have your fun," Lu Feng said, not holding them back. With that, he went upstairs, found a room, told them not to disturb him, and locked the door from the inside.
Then, he took a pair of glasses from his backpack space that synced with his detector watch, put them on, and activated the watch to scan the entire room.
’He was cautious enough to scan the warehouse his own cousin had rented; of course he was going to scan this place.’
Instantly, rays of scanning light fanned out through the glasses, sweeping across the entire room.
"Suspicious detection device found!"
"Suspicious detection device found!"
"Suspicious listening device found!"
"..."
"..."
"???" Lu Feng’s cheek twitched as he saw the alerts coming from his detector watch.
’Damn it. You really have to be careful when you’re away from home.’
’If I had brought a woman in here to screw, how many hidden cameras would have been filming it? I might have become the star of some international porn site.’
’This...’
Lu Feng sighed helplessly. He dismantled all the hidden cameras one by one, crushed them in his hand, and threw the pieces into the trash.
Meanwhile, in a certain location in Tal Village, several people stared in shock as a few of their screens turned to static.
"This guy’s not simple!"
"He found all of them!"
"Yeah, this is the first time we’ve had someone like this."
All sorts of people came here to buy weapons. For first-timers, it was natural for them to set up surveillance to get a general idea of who they were dealing with.
Monitoring and eavesdropping were the best ways to do that; sometimes people would let slip some information in their conversations.
Of course, if the surveillance was discovered, they couldn’t complain, and the people who found and dismantled it wouldn’t say anything either.
It was a sort of unwritten rule.
After all, when doing business for the first time, both sides needed to feel each other out. Only a fool would make a deal without doing any due diligence.
But Lu Feng’s actions had left the hidden surveillance team completely dumbfounded.
After all, the monitoring and listening devices they’d installed were so well-hidden, yet he had found every single one.
Still, it was a good thing there were still devices in the other rooms. They could still listen in on and monitor the others.
Looking at the other feeds, however, the men felt their mouths go dry. They hated this part of the job the most. Those animals were all taking the women back to their rooms.
After locking the door from the inside, Lu Feng entered the game with a single thought.
The four figures were now very close to Qingfeng Base. They were on top of another building, once again using binoculars to watch the base.
Having his own base spied on like this naturally pissed Lu Feng off. No matter what their objective was, he couldn’t just let them be.
So, as soon as he entered the core area of Qingfeng Base’s air-raid shelter, he summoned Lin Jiao.
"Boss, what is it?" Lin Jiao asked as soon as she arrived.
She was one of the first people to follow him and knew his habits. The boss usually wouldn’t seek her out unless it was important. If he called for her, it definitely meant something was up.
Lu Feng gave his orders directly: "Gather some people. Someone is scouting our base. It’s probably the City East Alliance."
Hearing this, Lin Jiao immediately left and gathered more than ten people.
Lu Feng stared in surprise at the group. He’d asked Lin Jiao to gather "some people" to help out, but she had gone and brought ten modified ability users.
’Was this really necessary for just four scouts?’
But since they were already here, he led Lin Jiao out and had someone bring around the levitating truck.
Not far away, the four hidden scouts spotted them as soon as they left the base.
"Someone’s coming out of Qingfeng Base! They’re probably heading out to explore or search for supplies!"
"Gray Wolf is dead and isn’t responding to our signals. We still don’t know what the deal is with this Qingfeng Base."
"The guns they’re using seem to be from the production line we sent over. Looks like something happened to the Gray Wolf Mercenary Corps."
"..."
As the four of them talked, they were completely unaware that Lu Feng’s group had already turned into their blind spot and was rapidly approaching.
Time passed.
The four men observed Qingfeng Base for a while longer before deciding this wasn’t working.
"We need to get closer to the base to investigate properly."
"Lin Gou, we’ll be counting on you to find the hidden guards’ positions," the most muscular man in the group ordered.
He was clearly the leader of the four-man team.
A long-faced man among them nodded and said, "No problem, Captain Zheng. The thermal scanner can spot the hidden guards from high up."
As he spoke, he began fiddling with a special device.
This was a new type of search-and-rescue device released before the apocalypse. It could display the thermal signatures of life forms within buildings with great clarity. The device could even find people buried deep underground after an earthquake.
The four of them talked as they left the building, got back into their levitating vehicle, and started driving toward Qingfeng Base.
"Wait, something’s wrong!" Lin Gou was controlling the remote. High above, the device had already flown ahead, scanning the area in front of them.
Suddenly, he saw more than ten life signs appear on the remote’s screen.
"Lin Gou, what is it?" Captain Zheng asked.
Lin Gou reported immediately, "Captain Zheng, someone’s heading our way! There are more than ten of them, and it looks like they’re coming for us."
"How is that possible? We haven’t left any tracks!" Captain Zheng frowned and immediately gave another order: "Change direction. Avoid them. They can’t possibly be coming for us."
Captain Zheng was certain, very confident.
The driver immediately changed course, heading in another direction to avoid the group.
But Lin Gou’s expression changed again. "Captain Zheng, they’ve changed direction too! They’re definitely coming for us."
On the other side, Lu Feng had entered the game again. He appeared in the levitating truck and was giving the driver directions!
Thanks to this "bug," as long as the enemy didn’t venture outside the areas he’d already explored, he could find them no matter where they went.
And since he had explored most of the area around Qingfeng Base, these guys were just out of luck.
Before long, both parties could hear the sound of each other’s vehicles.
Captain Zheng’s team of four stopped their vehicle.
Captain Zheng even climbed onto the front of the vehicle, waiting quietly for the others to arrive.
’Since they somehow managed to track us, might as well just deal with them directly.’
’It’s just a dozen or so people. For an ability user, that’s just cannon fodder.’
That’s right. He was an ability user.
