This small range of Spiritual Material choices also gave an Artifact Refiner a great deal of flexibility in combining them.

This would save him a lot of time collecting later. Compared to main Spiritual Materials, gathering auxiliary Spiritual Materials was undoubtedly much easier.

Figuring out the properties of a Spiritual Material required constant experimentation, and it was inevitable that some of the material would be wasted in the process.
When an Artifact Refiner got their hands on an unfamiliar Spiritual Material, they would use their past experience to determine its general category. If it shared many external similarities with a previously used Spiritual Material, it was easier to determine a direction for testing.
Of course, nothing was absolute. Some Spiritual Materials looked very similar on the outside but had properties that were worlds apart.
Of the Spiritual Materials he obtained in the Land of No Master Secret Realm, Fang Yun planned to keep anything related to Artifact Refining, Alchemy, or planting, as well as those with unclear uses. Many of the items inside were ordinary things for a Blood Demon, along with some Blood Artifacts that could be used with Blood Power.
Normally, others couldn’t use these Blood Artifacts, but after studying them, an Artifact Refiner could master a method to activate them with their own essence blood.
However, since this was largely unnecessary, Artifact Refiners would usually destroy a Blood Artifact after studying it. For exceptionally talented Artifact Refiners, studying artifacts that used other types of power could also provide useful experience.
Inside the Blood Spirit Sect Inner Sect Disciple’s Storage Pouch, a blood-red box caught Fang Yun’s attention.
One glance at the blood-red box was enough to tell it was made of special materials, designed to preserve some kind of Spiritual Object, just like the pale-gold vial an Elder from the Purple Mist Sect had given him.
