When Lu Qing and Xiao Yan appeared at the fishing spot.

The villagers who were still fishing there were all dumbfounded when they saw the fish on Lu Qing's back.

"Lu, Lu Qing, what, what are you carrying on your back?" a villager stammered.

“Fish,” Lu Qing replied, catching his breath.

He really felt a little tired.

My body hadn't fully recovered to begin with, and then I had to fight the blue carp and the red moon carp for so long.

Carrying so much stuff on my back is really making me feel like I can't keep up.

However, his answer left the villagers somewhat devastated.

Of course they knew he had a fish on his back!

The question is, where did he catch such a big fish?

The villagers were a little dizzy looking at the huge fish on Lu Qing's back, which was almost half his height and whose tail dragged on the ground.

My goodness, this is the first time they've ever seen such a big fish!

However, some villagers noticed Lu Qing's current predicament and quickly stepped forward to help him untie the fish.

"Come on, let me carry you. You've only just recovered, don't tire yourself out again."

Lu Qing did not refuse.

He was indeed struggling to keep going. He had thought he could carry the fish home, but it seemed he had overestimated his physical strength.

"Thank you, Brother Da'an."

Lu Qing put the fish down and took a breath.

"Hehe, you're welcome. This is the first time I've ever seen such a big fish. It's a blessing to be able to touch it. Wait, there's another one in this bucket. This fish is so beautiful!"

Villager Wang Da'an was feeling happy when he looked down and exclaimed in surprise.

Upon hearing this, the other villagers could no longer contain themselves and immediately gathered around to look into the bucket.

"It really is! There's a big fish in the bucket!"

"What kind of fish is this? It's so bright red, I've never seen anything like it before!"

"This fish is so beautiful, those gentlemen in the city will definitely love it."

"Good heavens, Lu Qing, how did you catch those two big fish at once?"

When the last question was asked, everyone looked at Lu Qing.

"How did you fish? It's pretty much the same as yours." Lu Qing reached out and took the fishing rod from Xiao Yan's shoulder. "I chose a spot in the river ahead, and I didn't expect to catch two big fish. It was just luck."

"Where did you fish?" a villager asked, his eyes darting around.

Upon hearing this, the other villagers immediately looked at him with disdain.

Their intentions are too obvious; they're not even willing to cover it up. They're just bullying a child.

After asking the question, the villager realized something was amiss and quickly chuckled awkwardly, "I was just curious. Don't tell me you're not curious."

Lu Qing could understand what the villager meant, but he didn't care much.

Even if he doesn't say anything, they will definitely search for him eventually.

The traces he left behind in establishing the fishing spot cannot be concealed.

So he said directly, "It's not far ahead, but I advise you not to go there now."

"Why?" the villager blurted out.

"Because the place has been ravaged for a long time. Now there aren't even any small fish left, let alone big ones. Otherwise, I wouldn't have come back so quickly," Lu Qing said, half-jokingly.

The other villagers all agreed that it made sense.

Lu Qing caught two big fish, especially the one on the ground, which was incredibly large.

With a fish this big, the fishing must have been quite a commotion; it's no wonder all the other fish got away.

However, despite this, some villagers still harbored a侥幸心理 (a sense of wishful thinking).

For example, the villager who asked Lu Qing about his fishing spot decided to sneak over later to see exactly where Lu Qing was fishing.

Lu Qing didn't care what the villagers thought.

Anyway, he's already said what he wanted to say. If others don't believe him and insist on going there to fish, there's nothing he can do.

And he wouldn't care even if someone actually went there to fish.

He doesn't care about the small fish, but as for the big fish...

It wasn't that he looked down on the villagers, but rather that with their skills, it was simply impossible for them to catch big fish.

Even if they were lucky enough to get a big fish on the hook, their fragile fishing line wouldn't be able to withstand the terrifying force of the fish.

After resting for a while, Lu Qing felt that his strength had recovered somewhat.

"Everyone, Xiaoyan and I are heading back now. You guys keep fishing."

After saying that, he prepared to lift the blue carp.

Upon seeing this, Wang Da'an quickly bent down and picked up the fish: "Didn't you say I was the one to come? Lu Qing, you can just carry the bucket. Wow, this fish is so heavy! It must weigh almost twenty pounds!"

When Wang Da'an actually picked up the blue carp, he realized that the fish was actually heavier than he had expected.

He couldn't help but look at Lu Qing, finding it hard to imagine how Lu Qing, with his small frame, could catch such a big fish.

"Thank you so much, Brother Da'an! I'll treat you to fish when we get back!"

Lu Qing did not refuse; he was happy to have someone help him.

"That's great! I've never eaten such a big fish in my life!" Wang Da'an exclaimed happily.

As Lu Qing and his two companions walked towards the village, the remaining villagers looked at each other.

Suddenly, a villager shouted, "What's the point of fishing! Let's go back to the village and watch the fun!"

"Exactly! We've been waiting all morning and only caught a few small fish. We might as well go back and watch how Lu Qing cleans fish!"

"I haven't had enough of those two big fish yet, I need to go back and take a few more looks."

...

If the villagers had the patience to stay here until Lu Qing returned.

Now, watching Lu Qing leave with two large fish, everyone's mentality began to crumble.

I've been guarding this place for two or three days, but I can't even compare to what others can get in two hours. Where can I complain about this?

It's better not to fish for this fish!

Overwhelmed by their emotions, the villagers packed their belongings and prepared to return to their village.

Lu Qing and the others had just left; if we run fast enough, we might be able to catch up with them.

"Old Zhao, aren't you going back?"

Everyone was tidying up, but one person remained unmoved, still sitting there fishing.

When others saw this, they asked.

"You guys go back first, I'll fish a little longer, maybe I'll catch some fish soon."

The villager, whom everyone called Old Zhao, smiled sheepishly when he inquired about Lu Qing's fishing spot.

"Alright, then keep fishing. If you ask me, I've been fishing here for days, and all the fish are already gone. Didn't you see how much Lu Qing disliked this place before?"

If people hadn't taken Lu Qing's fishing skills seriously before, and assumed that he was able to catch so many small fish because of his secret recipe of using earthworms as bait.

But after seeing those two big fish, no one dared to underestimate Lu Qing's fishing skills.

They definitely couldn't catch a fish that big.

These past few days, it's not uncommon for people to have tried to catch a big fish, only to end up empty-handed.

Either the fishing line broke or the rod snapped; there was no way to reel in a big fish.

After packing their things, everyone left one after another.

Only Old Zhao remained, calmly continuing to fish in the same spot.

After a while, once he was sure no one could see him, Old Zhao suddenly jumped up.

I hurriedly packed my things.

"A bunch of idiots, believing everything that kid Lu Qing says. I don't believe he really caught all the fish there!"

After saying that, he grabbed his things and ran in the direction Lu Qing and Xiao Yan had returned from.
