Chapter 363: Chapter 180: I Order You to Kneel

Perhaps because she was so eager to get out, Mo Ling’Er taught with remarkable earnestness and patience.

The two spent four hours at it, and Zhao Rui finally began to grasp the fundamentals.

"I’m the kind of person who learns best through practice," Zhao Rui said. "How about we spar using this Witchcraft? I think I’ll pick it up faster that way."

"Fine," Mo Ling’Er said nonchalantly. "Do whatever you want. As long as you learn it."

And so, the two began their "duel" of Witchcraft.

At first, Zhao Rui couldn’t even control the Phoenix Hairpin. Mo Ling’Er defeated him so thoroughly in just a few exchanges that he didn’t know which way was up.

She laughed so hard she was bent over, as if she had finally gotten revenge for the chase that had spanned thousands of kilometers.

Zhao Rui couldn’t be bothered with her pettiness and simply focused on his training.

After another half a day, Zhao Rui could finally control the Phoenix Hairpin with Witchcraft proficiently. The exchanges between them grew more complex.

Just then, a streak of black light shot up from below, its speed easily surpassing that of sound.

With the Witch Treasure in hand, Mo Ling’Er’s strength seemed to have recovered significantly. Seeing the streak, she pointed a finger, and the Phoenix Hairpin shot out like a sharp sword, instantly piercing through the black light.

A one-hit kill.

The black light froze in place, revealing a bizarre monster that looked much like the Xenomorphs from his past life.

It was a kind of insectoid creature with a carapace.

"This must be something it swallowed."

Even with the Witch Treasure in hand, Mo Ling’Er felt her skin crawl. She might be a ruthless killer, but she was still a girl who was terrified of bugs.

"Right. We need to hurry. Who knows what else it might swallow next!"

The two quickly refocused and continued their training.

After another few hours of practice, Zhao Rui finally got the hang of it, officially passing the initial threshold.

"You’re not so slow after all!"

Seeing he had learned it, Mo Ling’Er couldn’t help but smile.

Then she said, "We can finally get out of here. I’m not sure what’s on the other side, though. It could be a chaotic vortex, the Gui Xu, or some other random, messed-up place."

"Anything is better than this place," Zhao Rui said, his expression flat.

"Right!"

Mo Ling’Er formed a sword-hand with two fingers, pressing them to the center of her forehead. She began chanting, and the black markings reappeared all over her body.

Eerie Spells began to manifest around her, forming three-dimensional Talismans that floated and spun in the air.

A moment later, Zhao Rui followed her lead and began chanting the Spell as well.

The two Phoenix Hairpins instantly transformed into a single streak of light, circling around them.

"Ready?"

"Ready."

At the same time, they both activated the Witchcraft Cultivation Technique. The two Phoenix Hairpins merged into one, transforming into a phoenix shadow the size of a person, and shot straight toward the Exotic Beast’s body.

With a SSSHHHKK, a sliver of bright light appeared where the phoenix shadow had passed.

"Let’s go, now!"

Without a moment’s hesitation, they used their full strength to bolt through the opening.

As they shot through, the opening was already sealing itself shut at a visible rate. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"Faster, faster!"

As they neared the outside, the Spiritual Qi in their bodies began to recover at a furious pace, allowing them to move even faster.

WHOOSH!

With a final burst, they both leaped out into the open air, finally escaping from the dark interior of the Exotic Beast.

Once outside, their power returned in a rush. Spiritual Qi flooded into them like water into parched earth, instantly revitalizing their bodies.

In just a few moments, Zhao Rui’s Cultivation was restored, and he rose to a standing position, floating in the air.

He scanned his surroundings. All he could see was the azure sea below and a bright, cloud-swept sky above.

Occasionally, a few massive birds would fly past, only to be pulled into a massive maw by an invisible force before they got very far.

He didn’t need to guess to know it was the work of the Nine-Orifice Soul-Devouring Worm.

"We’re finally out! Hahaha!"

Mo Ling’Er steadied herself in the air. Seeing Zhao Rui’s look of astonishment and curiosity, a smug smile touched her lips.

"Kneel before me and come here obediently! Hahaha!"

Mo Ling’Er formed a few Hand Formulas and beckoned to Zhao Rui, her lips curling into a triumphant smirk.

"Why would I do that?"

Zhao Rui looked at her with an expression of pure curiosity.

"Huh?"

Mo Ling’Er was taken aback. She quickly formed another set of Hand Formulas and pointed at Zhao Rui. "I said, kneel!"

"You’re insane."

A mocking sneer appeared on Zhao Rui’s lips. His body flickered, and like a flash of sword light, he shot off toward a distant island.
