Chapter 693: Start of Rapid Growth (2)
After taking Marcellin on a tour of the Neon Star Public Trading Platform, they retired to the Central Neon Tower to get down to business.
"Nash, how many dark energy purification devices have you produced this time?"
With the opening of the dark gates, Marcellin had assumed they wouldn’t have been able to manufacture much.
"We currently have over 500 million dark energy purification devices on hand. If you wait until tomorrow, I can have 700 million ready for you." Nash smiled.
"That many?"
It seemed that even with the opening of the dark gates, the production efficiency of the Neon Star Alliance had barely faltered.
"Haha, we brought the allied teams on board to assist with production. Within a month, I can deliver the remaining 9 billion and complete your order in full."
"You can complete the entire order in a month? That’s excellent!"
He didn’t particularly care how Nash had expanded their production capacity. All that mattered was that the Azure Heaven Alliance’s order of 10 billion units would be fulfilled within the month.
Ten billion dark energy purification devices, while not enough to thoroughly purify dark energy in a large area, were enough to serve as the stabilizing foundation for the dark gate they had opened.
In truth, while opening the dark gate carried enormous benefits, keeping the endless swarms of dark beasts at bay was no simple matter.
If they relied solely on raw strength and firepower, they would be exhausted sooner or later.
After composing himself, Marcellin asked how Nash intended to be paid.
A transaction of this magnitude was no longer something that could be settled with conventional currency.
They could only offer materials, treasures, or technology in exchange.
"For the 700 million dark energy purification devices tomorrow, I’d like to settle it with void source crystals after clearing my outstanding balance."
The Azure Heaven Alliance was only responsible for supplying the materials for the 10 billion purification devices they had ordered.
For the remaining 90 billion units’ worth of materials, Nash still owed 9 quintillion.
With the 300 million settled prior and 700 million to be delivered tomorrow, Nash stood to net 10 quintillion, more than enough to clear his balance and still pocket 1 quintillion in profit.
"That’s not a problem. We’ll pay you 1 quintillion in void source crystals." Marcellin agreed after a brief pause.
Although a quintillion void source crystals were a little large, it wouldn’t put a strain on their reserves.
"And the remainder?"
Nine billion dark energy purification devices were worth 90 quintillion in total.
If Nash demanded void source crystals for that portion as well, they simply couldn’t pay.
"I want the materials needed to construct a dark gate," Nash stated his terms plainly.
Opening a dark gate was an absolute priority. While the purification devices were a reliable source of income, the advantages of a dark gate went far beyond resources alone.
If he truly wanted to close the gap with the top-level and major-level teams, he needed to accelerate.
"That’s not a problem. However, to my knowledge, the materials required for a dark gate cost hundreds of quintillions. How do you intend to settle the remaining balance?" Marcellin asked.
The materials needed to construct a dark gate could only be sourced from within the forbidden zones, which was precisely why their prices were thousands of times higher than ordinary counterparts.
"I’ll continue to pay using the dark energy purification devices. However, is it possible to receive the materials upfront?"
If Nash wanted to exchange for those materials, he would need to provide tens of billions of purification devices over time.
But not wanting to lose any more time, he wanted to begin constructing the dark gate as soon as possible.
"That’s not a problem, I’ll relay your request to our Supreme Leader."
"Then I’ll await your news." Nash smiled.
In his broader strategy, he had already mapped out the roles each major faction would play.
The Azure Heaven Alliance would serve as his primary materials supplier. The Mechanical Race, beyond being a distribution partner, would also be a source of advanced technology. While the Chronos Alliance could simply be treated as elite contractors available for hire.
---
The following day, Nash handed Marcellin the 700 million dark energy purification devices and received 1 quintillion in void source crystals in return.
With the transaction complete, Marcellin took his leave.
"Until next time. And if you develop any new dark technology, make sure to bring it to us first."
"Of course. The Azure Heaven Alliance will always be my number one customer."
---
With the Azure Heaven Alliance’s delegation departing, Nash turned his attention to the funds in his hands.
One quintillion void source crystals! Nash had never held this kind of wealth in his entire life.
With an energy reserve of this magnitude, the Neon Defense System could fire at full capacity for five consecutive years without running dry.
Transferring 700 quadrillion void source crystals into the Sun Star Void Area’s reserves, he left the remainder with the Neon Star Public Trading Zone to cover the allied team’s payments and emergency expenditures.
With everything settled, Nash could finally dedicate himself fully to training, research, or tackling the trials within the Altier Arcane Tower.
For the first time in a long while, he could truly afford to breathe.
With that ease of mind, time passed swiftly.
---
Two weeks later.
While Nash was grinding through the Altier Arcane Tower trials, he received a message announcing the completion of the tier 8 mother core ship repairs.
"They finally finished?"
Exiting the trial, Nash made his way back to the Neon Star Public Trading Zone without delay.
"Lord Nash, we have completed the repairs on the tier 8 mother core ship. Please review it and let us know if any further modifications or adjustments are needed." Oryn said.
Nodding, Nash summoned Aykroyd and the other scientists to conduct a final inspection of the Tier 8 mother core ship.
Armed with pre-prepared blueprints, they began producing tier 8 technologies one after another.
Though individually unremarkable, the sight of those Tier 8 machines rolling off the line brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
"Thank you for your hard work. Please pass along my gratitude to Hanna and the Chronos Saint."
"Of course. We’re available whenever you need us. Don’t hesitate to call."
After a few more pleasantries, they made their way back to Chronos Alliance territory.
Meanwhile, looking at the towering tier 8 mother core ship that stood before him, Nash was lost in thought.
"What should I use this mother core ship for?"
