Chapter 689: The Allied Settlement
"Utilize at least 70% of a domain area’s resources?" Hearing the alternative condition, Nash exhaled in relief.
Clearing 50% of the dark beasts was not only a near-impossible task, it was also thankless work.
No matter how many they eliminated, they could never recover what they spent in the process.
Utilizing the resources, on the other hand, was an entirely different matter.
Given their needs, that was something they would achieve sooner or later.
"Alright, where are your coordinates? I’ll dispatch the Chronos Alliance professionals as soon as possible." Hanna cut to the chase.
"These are the coordinates." Nash relayed the location of the public trading zone he had planned to establish.
"Good. They should arrive within half a month, as we still need to deal with the opening of the dark gate. I’ll notify you once they’re about to depart."
"Understood."
Ending the call with Hanna, Nash turned his mind to the various follow-up matters at hand.
With the Sun Star Void Area already stabilizing, he shifted his attention to the public trading zone.
After notifying the others of his departure, Nash took the teleportation station back to the public trading zone.

Neon Star Public Trading Zone:
Arriving at the massive platform made of earth, Nash was quietly surprised.
Although the main material was still sourced from the Breathing Earth Loom, it was far denser and more solid than he remembered.
Taking in the sight of countless individual workers scattered across the vicinity, with various territories floating around the perimeter, Nash felt himself relax a little.
Over a week ago, after they had left the domain-level teleportation array, the other high-level teams that had agreed to settle under his protection began arriving one after another.
With not enough senior staff on hand to manage them, Nash had instructed the scientists, professionals, and guardians remaining there to brief them on their assignments.
These tasks included constructing the large-scale platform, reinforcing the Neon Defense System, and clearing the surrounding area of dark beasts.
Nash hadn’t expected them to have come this far in just a single week.
"Supreme Leader, welcome back." Caelan, the scientist in overall command of the site, stepped forward to greet him.
"How many cosmic team alliances have settled here?"
"Currently, approximately 254 cosmic team alliances have established themselves in the area."
"I see."
Although around a thousand cosmic team alliances had agreed to settle within his territory, it would naturally take time for them all to arrive.
"How is the construction of the large-scale platform coming along? And the Neon Defense System?" Nash asked, surveying the surroundings.
"The large-scale platform is still under construction. It will likely take a few more months before all available Breathing Earth Loom material can be converted into a usable platform."
"The Neon Defense System, however, has already completed all 360 defensive modules. All available materials have been exhausted, so we cannot build any further at this time."
"You’ve used up all the materials? Did the allied teams also help with this?"
"Yes, which brings me to another matter. They’ve been asking what else they can do to assist you. While they’re willing to continue helping with platform construction, they feel it isn’t making full use of what they have to offer."
Hearing Caelan’s words, Nash fell quiet.
It seemed he could put these allied teams to use in other ways.
While they wouldn’t be as loyal as the people of the Neon Star Alliance, they were diligent and capable.
Completing all 360 Neon Defense System modules in a single week was already a remarkable achievement. He wondered what results they might produce once put to other tasks.
One had to keep in mind that a single allied team was the size of at least a tenth of the Neon Star Alliance.
Moreover, this wasn’t a bloated workforce; it was composed of seasoned elites.
If Nash could direct them toward his goals, most of what he had in mind could be completed well ahead of schedule.
"Summon the leader of each allied team. I’ll hold a meeting and speak with them directly."
"Yes, Supreme Leader."
---
A short while later, in a makeshift assembly hall, Nash met with over 250 leaders.
After exchanging greetings, they asked why they had been called together.
"I want to know what your plans are."
Although they were staying within his territory, they remained free agents with full autonomy.
Depending on their goals, they could choose to relocate at any time.
"We plan to wait and observe how much of a threat the opening of the dark plane gate will pose," said Veyra, the leader who had originally rallied them together.
"If you have no pressing plans, why not lend me a hand with a few things?"
"Whatever you need, Lord Nash, just say the word."
"I would assume each of you has a tier 6 or tier 7 mother core ship?"
As high-level teams comparable to the Neon Star Alliance, they surely had a basic industrial foundation to sustain themselves.
"Yes, are you asking us to help you build those dark technological wonders?" Veyra asked, barely concealing her excitement.
The reason they had sought shelter under the Neon Star Alliance was precisely because of those technological marvels.
From the Neon Battleship to the Dark Energy Purification Device, these were inventions that could fundamentally change the odds of survival.
"You’ve hit the mark exactly. I want you to help me produce dark technology. I’ll supply the materials and the technical knowledge, all I need from you is the mother core ships and the manpower." Nash smiled.
With everyone’s combined output, producing a billion dark energy purification devices a week would be a conservative estimate, they could conceivably reach tens or even hundreds of billions.
"What about compensation? How do we get paid?"
"For every dark energy purification device or Neon Battleship your teams produce, I’ll pay 10 million. That currency can be used to purchase anything we have available."
The dark energy purification device and the Neon Battleship were both priced at 10 billion on the market.
Receiving a thousandth of that price simply by providing manpower and industrial infrastructure, no one had any complaints.
"That’s more than fair. When do we start?" they asked eagerly.
"First, let’s finish establishing the full large-scale platform. After that, I’ll have our scientists come to guide you through the process." Nash said.
To mass-produce dark technology, the most critical component was the universal runic system.
Without that runic system in place, no matter how skilled they are, it was impossible to assemble a dark technology.
Therefore, before anyone could begin production, Nash first had to build a central server capable of coordinating operations across the entire platform.
