Chapter 153: New Ability
Leon continued to endure the crushing pressure that was trying its best to turn him into a lump of flesh.
[Gravity Resistance: 43%]
[Gravity Resistance: 45%]
[Gravity Resistance: 50%]
...
...
...
Leon slowly rose to his feet once more. The overwhelming pressure became lighter and lighter.
[Gravity Resistance: 58%]
Finally, when his Gravity Resistance reached 58%, he no longer felt any pressure. The two-hundred-times gravity had become completely ineffective against him.
But strangely, the gravity didn’t increase any further. Leon’s expression fell. ’Don’t tell me this really is the limit. Where am I supposed to find a place with even stronger gravity?’ He wondered.
Just then, the chamber door opened with a mechanical chime.
Leon stepped outside only to find Jessica and Stanley staring at him with wide eyes.
A moment later, Stanley burst into laughter.
"Hahahahaha! Leon, who would’ve thought you were hiding this much? It’s not just your destructive power that’s insane. Your endurance is even more terrifying. It’s already comparable to that of a Disaster Class knight."
Leon shook his head. "No, it’s not like that. This only works against gravity. I wouldn’t even dare take a single punch from a peak S-Class knight, let alone a Disaster Class one."
What Leon said was true.
His ability to withstand such immense gravity came entirely from his bloodline’s adaptive nature. It continuously evolved under extreme pressure, allowing him to resist gravitational force.
But getting punched was a completely different matter. There was no adaptation that could instantly protect him from the raw impact of an attack.
So while his endurance against gravity might have reached the Disaster Class level, his actual physical durability was still nowhere near that standard.
"By the way, Mr. Cooper," Leon asked, "is this the highest level of gravity the Association can provide?"
His question left Jessica speechless. ’What the heck? Is he serious? Two hundred G isn’t enough for him?’ she wondered in disbelief.
Stanley, however, laughed even harder.
"Hahahaha! I never knew watching someone train could be this entertaining. Even fighting peak monsters doesn’t get my blood pumping this much."
He looked at Leon with an amused grin. "You want more, don’t you?"
Leon’s eyes lit up with hope. "Yes, Mr. Cooper."
"If it were any other type of training, I probably couldn’t arrange it for you. But gravity?" Stanley chuckled. "That’s actually the easiest one."
He paused before adding with a mysterious smile, "And for some reason, I had a special gravity chamber built for extreme training. Care to guess its maximum gravity?"
Leon’s heart began pounding. It felt as though another immunity... another affinity... was just within reach.
"300 G?" Leon asked eagerly. ’I hope I’m not being too greedy.’
"400 G. The chamber can generate 400 times Earth’s gravity."
Leon’s heartbeat skipped. ’I’m definitely leaving this training hall with another affinity.’
Stanley walked toward a different gravity chamber. Unlike the others, which were coated in white alloy, this one had dark navy-blue reinforced walls, giving it a far more imposing presence.
He stopped before the entrance and gestured toward it.
"Come...
Let’s see how many more surprises you’re hiding."
Leon nodded and calmly stepped inside the chamber. The chamber door slid shut.
This time, Stanley immediately set the gravity to 210 G.
Jessica held her breath in anticipation.
Ever since the day she had met Leon, one belief after another had been shattered. He was only eighteen, yet he had cleared a D-Class dungeon alone. It wasn’t impossible. But very rare. Later, she found he was a cultivator, yet he didn’t belong to Summitas Valley. He had slain a demon — a creature considered invincible to ordinary knights who couldn’t wield demon purging aura.
And now...
He was treating 200 G as though it were nothing.
For a brief moment, she even wondered whether the gravity chamber was malfunctioning.
Stanley pressed the start button.
Instantly, an overwhelming pressure filled the chamber.
210 G.
For any normal person, such gravity would have crushed every bone in their body.
But to Leon...
It barely felt like anything.
He stood as straight as a mountain, completely unmoving.
Stanley continued increasing the gravity.
212 G...
215 G...
When it reached 220 G, Leon finally had to clench his fists.
Without stopping, Stanley raised it further... As the pressure intensified, Leon silently endured it while his Gravity Resistance continued to soar.
Seconds passed.
Then minutes.
An hour later, the gravity had exceeded 300 G, while Leon’s Gravity Resistance had climbed to 85%.
Throughout the entire hour, neither Stanley nor Jessica had taken their eyes off the chamber.
310 G...
320 G...
330 G...
The terrifying gravity bore down upon Leon with unimaginable force.
Yet he remained standing as if nothing had changed.
[Gravity Resistance: 90.4%]
Stanley chuckled. "You still think he’s younger than you?" He asked in a hushed voice so that only Jessica could hear.
But she couldn’t. Not because the voice was too low. But because, her mind was too busy to register anything else. Her gaze darted back and forth between the monitor, where the gravity kept climbing, and Leon, who continued enduring it like a man possessed.
Nothing made sense to her anymore. ’Even a Disaster Class hunter wouldn’t be able to withstand this much gravity...’ She mused.
The gravity continued to rise.
Finally, when it reached 371 G, the corners of Leon’s lips curled into a smile.
The notifications he had been waiting for finally began flooding the system panel.
[Gravity Resistance: 100%]
[Congratulations, Host. Host has reached 100% Gravity Resistance.]
[Host has acquired the effect: Null Gravity.]
[Description: Reaching 100% resistance to an elemental affinity grants complete elemental immunity. Reaching 100% resistance to a non-elemental affinity grants a null effect instead. The wielder is no longer bound by that affinity and can manipulate it according to their own will.]
’What?’ Leon’s eyes widened. ’Null Gravity? Not Gravity Immunity or something like that?’
More notifications followed.
[Host has awakened a new affinity.]
[Non-Elemental Affinity: Gravity]
’No physique enhancement?’ Leon wondered.
But before he could think any further, another series of notifications appeared, leaving him completely stunned this time.
[Host has unlocked new abilities.]
[Ability 1: Fly]
[Ability 2: Telekinesis]
Leon’s eyes widened in disbelief. He could hardly believe what he was seeing.
’Fly...? Telekinesis...?’
