Chapter 524: Chapter 524 - Universe Airship
Day 20 of Month 2, Year 1 of the Archipela Calendar.
In front of the Leyan Family mansion, the morning air carried a quiet sense of departure.
"Layla, are you sure you can handle everything here?" Leyvi asked, glancing back one more time.
Layla smiled, calm as ever. "Don’t worry about me. I’m not alone. Fantylia is here to help."
Leyvi nodded and turned to the fox lady beside her. "Fantylia, take care of the estate while we’re away."
"Yes, Family Head. I will do my best," Fantylia replied, her tone respectful, posture straight.
It had been eight years since her Nascent Soul was sealed into a puppet body, eight years serving the Leyan Family. In that time, she had come to one simple conclusion, this family was abnormal.
However, it was abnormal in a good way. If she continued to serve diligently, she was sure her physical body would be restored someday.
Leyvi scratched his head. The title "Family Head" sounded very strange to him, because she was the only one in the household who referred to him as such. It could not be helped. She was someone who had been punished to serve the Leyan Family, so Anda did not allow her to speak to him casually like the others.
"Husband," Layla called softly.
He looked back at her.
"The wedding is on the fifth day of the third month. Sister Caterina has already prepared everything. You just need to arrive before then."
Leyvi did a quick count in his head, then nodded. "So we’ve got about two weeks. Plenty of time."
There was no urgency in his tone, only a relaxed confidence, like this was just another trip rather than a journey toward marriage.
He turned forward again, his mood lifting.
"Everyone!" he called out, raising his fist. "It’s been a while since we went on a family trip together. Let’s go!"
"Yay!" the group answered in unison, voices bright and lively.
After Leyvi stepped out of the estate gates, the quiet morning shattered into a wave of sound.
Thousands of his fans had gathered outside.
Cheers rolled forward like a tide, loud, eager, alive. Most of them were now working under Layla in various roles across the city, and their presence had long since become one of the pillars supporting her rule. At the very front stood Barto, as passionate as ever, practically vibrating with excitement.
"Lord Leyvi! Congratulations on your marriage!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.
"Congratulations on your marriage!" the crowd echoed, their voices overlapping into a single roaring chorus.
Admiration shone clearly in their eyes. Ever since it was announced that he would marry Caterina, their respect for him had risen tremendously again. It could not be helped. A figure like Caterina was considered legendary to them.
Leyvi took in the scene quietly.
Previously, he had thought little of their idolization toward him. But now he was not that naive anymore. It was important to have the power of the people on his side, especially whenever something big happened. Without people loyal to you, everything tended to fall apart easily.
Therefore, Leyvi decided he would no longer shy away from their admiration. He would reciprocate it properly.
He stood before them and spoke.
"Thank you, everyone," he said, his voice steady yet warm. "I truly appreciate all the support you’ve given my family and me."
The noise softened, the crowd leaning in.
"My wife, Layla, would have had a difficult start as City Lord without all of you. Because of your efforts, Bara City has grown into what it is today."
His words were simple, but they landed deep.
In the crowd, eyes reddened. Some clenched their fists. Others straightened their backs, as if those few sentences alone were enough to make everything they had done feel worthwhile.
"Lord Leyvi! We will serve you as long as we live!" someone shouted.
The vow spread instantly, repeated again and again, louder each time.
Leyvi raised a hand, gently pressing down the rising fervor.
"Everyone, listen."
The voices gradually settled.
"When I return from this trip, I will host a banquet for all of you and your families." He smiled. "This is my way of thanking you properly. I’ve also prepared some gifts, so make sure you come."
As soon as he finished, cheers erupted from the crowd, praising Leyvi once more.
Satisfied, Leyvi stepped into the modified carriage, and soon the convoy rolled toward the eastern gate. One after another, the other carriages carrying the Leyan Family followed behind in a neat procession.
Once they passed beyond the city walls, the group switched to an airship.
To any onlooker, it looked like one of the Leyan Family’s usual vessels. In truth, it was Alita’s Universe Airship, now under Anda’s ownership, its illusion function masking its true form. Beneath that disguise, the vessel was a massive disc-shaped construct, something far removed from the conventional airships they were used to.
The moment they boarded, the difference became obvious.
The interior stretched far beyond what the exterior suggested. Space unfolded in all directions, vast and open, like stepping into a hidden world tucked inside a shell.
Aside from Leyvi and Anda, the rest of the family froze for a moment, visibly stunned.
"Darling... is this the Universe Airship? It’s huge!" Nala’s voice rang out, bright with excitement.
Ever since becoming pregnant, Nala had been wearing slightly modest outfits suitable for pregnant women most of the time. Of course, as a famous seamstress in the city who specialized in undergarments that emphasized women’s assets, she had made her pregnancy outfits herself.
So even though they were less revealing now, they still emphasized her figure, especially her breasts, which had grown in size due to the pregnancy.
Leyvi chuckled. "That’s right. It belongs to our family now."
He glanced around as he spoke, recalling his own reaction the first time he saw it.
"This place is massive. It’s not just bigger than our estate... it’s on a completely different scale. I’d say around twenty times larger."
Back then, when Alita first brought him and Anda past the control room, the sheer size of the space beyond had left them speechless. Nearly a thousand hectares, large enough to house a small town without feeling crowded.
Nala and the others widened their eyes in disbelief.
"Twenty times?" she repeated, her gaze sweeping across the seemingly endless interior. Then her expression shifted, a spark of mischief slipping in. "Darling, why don’t we just live here from now on?"
Leyvi chuckled. Nala wasn’t wrong. They really could just live inside the Universe Airship if they wanted to.
Now that a Spiritual Vein powered it, Alita could finally unleash its full capabilities. No more relying on limited solar power reserves. The entire vessel had gone from a sleeping giant to a fully awakened world. If they wished, she could reshape the interior however they liked, turning empty space into forests, lakes, training grounds... even entire ecosystems.
"Right," Leyvi said, as the thought struck him. "Since it’s this spacious, you can bring Reddie out too."
Nala blinked. "Really? Is that okay? What if she breaks something?"
Leyvi laughed, waving it off. "You’re underestimating this place. Even if a Dao Manifestation Realm expert came here and went all out, they wouldn’t scratch a thing. Right, Alita?"
"That is correct," Alita’s voice echoed calmly through the air, smooth as still water. "You may release all of your spirit beasts. I can also create environments suitable for each of them."
Nala’s face lit up. "Great!"
Without hesitation, she summoned Reddie from her spirit beast bag. The mantis shrimp appeared with a flash, its vibrant shell gleaming as it clicked its limbs excitedly, immediately darting around as if it had been waiting for this moment all its life.
At this moment, all the other spirit beasts were out as well.
Currently, the Leyan Family possesses quite a number of spirit beasts.
Starting with Leyvi’s spirit beasts: a King Level demonic rabbit, Celestial Rabbit Lapin Blanco; a Commander Level demonic bison, Mr. Bison; a Commander Level demonic red fox, Scarlet; and a High Level demonic monkey, Stripey.
Scarlet’s daughters: Intermediate Level demonic red foxes, Rosy, Ruby, and Revy.
Anda’s seven Intermediate Level demonic giant pandas: Kanda, Wanda, Yanda, Fanda, Janda, Randa, and Manda.
Valenia’s loyal sparring partner: a High Level demonic dragon mantis, Slashy.
Nala’s longtime companion: a High Level demonic mantis shrimp, Reddie.
And lastly, Selene’s two spirit beasts: a High Level demonic stag beetle, Staggy, and a new spirit beast she had bonded with during Leyvi’s absence, a Low Level demonic caterpillar named Wiggie. It had been a normal caterpillar that became a demonic beast after being exposed to Selene’s healing power.
Only Lilian didn’t bring out her army of demonic plants because they already live in a much better space.
"Alita, we can depart now." Leyvi instructed after the spirit beasts had gone off to play elsewhere.
"Departing," Alita replied.
The Universe Airship rose into the sky and began making its way toward Holy Cat City.
With its capability of moving at near the speed of light, reaching the destination in just a few seconds would have been trivial. But doing so would cause unbelievable widespread destruction. Such speeds were only safe in the emptiness of outer space.
Since they did not wish to attract attention, they flew only at the speed of a typical airship. In any case, there was no need to rush. They could take their time and enjoy the journey.
Leyvi and everyone else moved toward the residential area to choose their houses to stay in. That was right. Houses, not the usual cramped cabins.
"What are you thinking?" Leyvi asked Anda, who seemed to be deep in thought.
"I am thinking..." Anda turned to him. "Since this airship can’t be damaged even by a Dao Manifestation Realm powerhouse, doesn’t that mean we could use it to attack them? We could simply ram into them to death, right?"
Leyvi was dumbfounded.
That’s what you are thinking? You want to kill a Dao Manifestation Realm powerhouse? He stared at her. My panda wife, please put away that thought. I’m scared.
