Yu De struggled for a moment before pleading, "Spare me, Lord Shen! I had no choice! If I hadn’t done this, I fear the Wild Buddha Sect would have rallied various Demonic Forces to destroy the Hundred Medicines Valley."
Snapping out of his thoughts, Shen Bai hauled Yu De up by the neck and kicked the main doors open.
Inside the room, Valley Master Lin was clenching his teeth, his head drenched in sweat.
The Silver Needle in his hand still radiated a sinister, cold aura, but Valley Master Lin was struggling to maintain control.
The Hundred Medicines Valley was full of healers, not fighters. As such, Valley Master Lin was already at his limit.
Valley Master Lin had heard the commotion outside, and upon seeing Shen Bai, he immediately said,
"Lord Shen, quickly, go get the Elders! If this Disease Corpse breaks out, the people of Fenglin State will suffer!"

But since Amber had confirmed it, whatever was inside must be anything but simple.
"Lord Shen? Why have you stopped?" Valley Master Lin asked, surprised.
Shen Bai said, "Valley Master, don’t you think this might be a Deceitful entity?"
Valley Master Lin paused for a moment. Then, realization dawned, and he fell into deep thought.
A moment later, Valley Master Lin sighed.
"We’ve been tricked."
"There must be a Deceitful Object hidden inside, sealed by some special method. This is a Chronic Ailment."
"What’s a Chronic Ailment?" Shen Bai asked.
Valley Master Lin explained, "There are illnesses in this world that cannot be cured—these are chronic ailments. When fueled by immense resentment, some of these illnesses can transform into Deceitful entities, which are collectively known as Chronic Ailment Deceitfuls."
"This kind of Deceitful entity... is very difficult to handle."
"Why is that?" Shen Bai pressed.
Valley Master Lin said, "Once a Chronic Ailment Deceitful appears, it constantly spreads disease. Even if we destroy the entity, the plague will have already been unleashed, causing widespread casualties among the populace."
"Lord Shen, I will hold it steady with the Silver Needle. You must hurry back to the Observatory for help. Take this Disease Corpse somewhere isolated, and then get rid of it."
Under the circumstances, Valley Master Lin’s method seemed to be the best course of action.
