Chapter 1103: Chapter 1103: Why Does He Look So Familiar

The man’s lips curled slightly, with a faint smile, making him seem out of place.

Pei Yuanchen noticed that his gaze was fixed on a particular easel in the center of the studio. Following his gaze, Pei Yuanchen realized it seemed to belong to He Ziyi.

Pei Yuanchen’s expression darkened slightly.

"Huh?" Ziyi also saw the man and voiced her confusion.

"Do you know him?" Pei Yuanchen asked in a low voice.

"I don’t know, but he looks a bit familiar." Ziyi blinked, continuing to scrutinize the man.

Coincidentally, the man also looked over at her, his expression unchanged, but the smile in his eyes seemed a bit wider.

Ziyi’s confusion deepened, and she couldn’t help but blink.

Seeing this, Pei Yuanchen was sure that the man knew Ziyi, and... he might have appeared in front of her multiple times, which is why she had an impression of him. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Pei Yuanchen pressed his lips together tightly, his gaze dark and profound.

"Hurry inside." He suddenly said hoarsely, "I should be going back. When you’re done, let Ayuan pick you up."

Ziyi immediately turned to look at him, filled with reluctance: "Uncle Xiaobao, aren’t you going to stay and watch me paint? You haven’t seen it yet, have you?"

"Watch you paint another man?" He chuckled wryly, "Never mind then."

Ziyi stared at him blankly, unable to help but speak: "I don’t want to paint another man!"

"You don’t want to paint another man, so why are you okay with me being painted by another woman, hmm?" Pei Yuanchen stared into her eyes.

Ziyi was stunned.

Pei Yuanchen gave a faint smile and gently pushed her towards the center of the classroom: "Go on."

With that, he turned and left without hesitation.

"Xiao..." Ziyi intended to run after him, but her arm was grabbed by Ji Siyu.

"Ziyi, you’re here? Your model is here too, are you going to paint him?" Ji Siyu asked with a smile.

Ziyi shook her head forcefully: "I don’t want to paint him."

"Hehe... then I’ll put you in Jin Baiyan’s group." Ji Siyu said with excitement.

Ziyi didn’t respond, still staring blankly at the door.

But Pei Yuanchen’s figure had already disappeared.

"Ziyi? Jin Baiyan is the manager of Xunwei Restaurant! He’s really handsome." Ji Siyu continued to promote.

Only then did He Ziyi snap back to reality.

Jin Baiyan?

She glanced at the man across from her.

The man was still watching her, the curve of his lips seemed to widen, and the laughter in his eyes deepened.

Ziyi finally remembered why he seemed familiar.

Yes, the last time she went to karaoke with her classmates, it was this man who saved her and even wrote his name on her hand, wanting to be friends with her.

Unfortunately, she had forgotten his name.

Ziyi looked away, embarrassed to meet his gaze again.

"Class president, you all carry on. I... I probably can’t paint today." Ziyi said, her mood suddenly dropping.

"Why?" Ji Siyu was puzzled.

"I’m just not in the mood today, you go ahead." Ziyi smiled, "I’ll make up the assignment next time, the professor won’t blame me."

Ji Siyu didn’t insist.

Ziyi turned and left the studio. She stood by the railing, looking at the square below but couldn’t see Pei Yuanchen.

Her gaze dimmed.

She still couldn’t quite understand why Uncle Xiaobao was upset.

But she vaguely knew she did something wrong.

From the start, she shouldn’t have called Uncle Xiaobao.

Unless she intended for him to be her only model.
