Chapter 1080: Chapter 1080: You Dare to Do It, but Don’t Dare Let Us Talk About It?

Their discussion turned to He Ziyi once again.

"...Isn’t He Ziyi in the Art School?"

"...Yeah, they say all her professors really like her. Well, of course, she’s the eldest daughter of the He Family. How could they not like her? The school relies on the He Family’s annual donations."

"...She seems to be in her early twenties, right? Why is she only a freshman?"

"...I have a friend in the Art School. According to him, He Ziyi seems to have some mental issues, which is why she’s starting college at this age, and she often makes laughable common sense errors."

"...Really? Mental issues? Tsk tsk, that’s really pitiful."

This news brought the group unparalleled satisfaction and a sense of superiority.

He Ziyi stood next to one of the girls, listening intently.

Finally, someone noticed her presence and frowned, scolding, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

He Ziyi smiled warmly and looked up, allowing them to clearly see her face.

"I’m He Ziyi. I just heard you talking about me." Ziyi’s voice carried no anger, and could even be described as gentle.

The group exchanged pale looks, remaining silent for a long time.

After a while, a round-faced girl hesitantly spoke, "Are you really He Ziyi?"

They had seen He Ziyi around campus but had never interacted with her, so when Ziyi was actually standing in front of them, they were somewhat in disbelief.

"Yes." Ziyi smiled.

"We... we were just having lunch here. Why did you come over?" The round-faced girl asked harshly but inwardly timid.

"I heard you badmouthing me." Ziyi thought for a moment, "Could you please shut up?"

"You dare to do it, but don’t dare let us talk about it?" A short-haired girl sneered.

"But what you said isn’t true. There’s nothing wrong with my mind," Ziyi earnestly argued, "and I’m not clinging to any man, only to Uncle Xiaobao."

As for others, she couldn’t care less about them.

"Also, the professors like me for my talent, not because my last name is He," Ziyi continued.

"Yeah right, if your last name wasn’t He, what makes you think you could get admitted without taking an exam?" the other retorted.

"Because I showed my work to the professors. They accepted me as a student after seeing it," Ziyi explained further.

The group exchanged disdainful glances.

"Why don’t you believe me?" Ziyi asked, perplexed. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Miss He," perhaps seeing her as easy to bully, the round-faced girl shed her previous timidity and spoke smugly, "if you weren’t a He, your work would never even be glanced at by the professors. You really think it’s your own ability? Ridiculous."

Ziyi was stunned for a moment and then asked, "Is that the case?"

"That’s exactly the case." The short-haired girl finished, exchanging a look with the other three.

The group snickered.

It seemed the rumors were right—there must be something wrong with He Ziyi’s mind.

Ziyi bit her lip. Even though she didn’t understand what they were laughing about, she knew they certainly meant no good.

But Uncle Xiaobao had sent her here to make them shut up.

Not only did they not shut up, but they laughed even harder.

What should she do now?

"Ziyi, what’s wrong?" Suddenly, a low and magnetic male voice came from behind her as she was at a loss.
