Pei Yuanchen felt as though he was quenching his thirst with poison.
The woman’s lips were incredibly soft, as if they could melt from his warmth.
The touch, like clouds and mist, made him unconsciously sink into an abyss.

He tucked her in snugly, his tone carrying a warning: "Close your eyes and sleep!"

"Sleep!"

"No more talking, go to sleep!"

"He Ziyi, are you asking for a beating?" Pei Yuanchen’s tone grew increasingly severe.
Ziyi had no choice but to bite her lip pitifully, gazing at him with wide eyes.

He tucked her in more securely, stood up straight, and turned to walk toward the door.
However, before he reached the door, he heard rustling noises behind him.
He spun around abruptly and saw He Ziyi crawling out of bed again, looking sneaky.

Ziyi was startled and quickly shrank back under the covers, speaking defiantly: "I just wanted to..."
"I don’t care what you wanted..." Pei Yuanchen said with the last of his patience, "Move even a bit, and I’ll ignore you forever!"
He Ziyi looked utterly devastated!
"I just wanted to go to the bathroom..." she said, on the verge of tears, "Uncle Xiaobao, why are you so mean to me."
He wouldn’t even let her speak.
Awful.
Pei Yuanchen was stunned for a moment, his expression intriguing.
After a long pause, he squeezed out a few words through his teeth: "Then hurry up and go!"
He Ziyi took this as a huge relief and quickly got out of bed, running towards the bathroom!
Pei Yuanchen let out a long sigh.
He leaned against the wall, his expression as cold as water.
To this woman, no matter what outrageous thing she did in front of him, she would forget about it in no time, and it wouldn’t affect her sleep in the slightest.
