One months after the destruction of Betrum Nation, the monsters did not spill out like the higher-ups of Adventure Guild worried about.
Yet, it did not ease the worry of the higher-ups. Instead, the report made them decide to press on the decision to kill all the monsters and struck the heart of the problem, the Forest of Bug.
To do so, the Adventure Guild gathered the elite adventurers closest to Betrum Nation, rewarding any that return with the corpses or at least heads of the monsters. However, the order to wait until the arrival of the other adventurers to lead the expedition made them restless.
Worries that they might not receive the majority of the reward should they wait, it spurred the adventurers of closer nations to spill into the ruined nation. However, in a single day, and with most of the adventurers returning injured and some not even returning, the adventurers were met with the reason of the Guild’s decision to hold the expedition until stronger adventurers gathered.
And so, for one more month, the gathered adventurers joined in the border defense of the nations’ they were at, occasionally diving into Betrum Nation to raid some of the isolated monsters, earning small amount of money through it.
Finally, after one month of waiting and two months after the Nation’s destruction, the Betrum Extermination Expedition started.

"So, this is the place." A brawny male with muscular arms and bear ears exclaimed, holding a large greatsword, one the size of a surfboard.
"Yeah, the place is destroyed." A woman wearing green cloak, one covering her pointy ears and brown leather armor replied. On her back and side were quivers, filled with arrows, showing she was an archer.
"Well, let get this over with." A young man with bloodthirsty look said, his eyes filled with bloodlust.
"Let’s wait for the other. The Guild said two more people will join us." The brawny man said.
The young man pouted, but still waited. He did not need to get into any more trouble with the Guild.
The trio did not have to wait long. Half an hour and the two other S-rank adventurers joined in. Yet, the trio quickly looked apprehensive of the new arrival.

"Taranis Kingdom adventurer." The young man said with disdain. The other two agreed with the resentment.
Taranis Kingdom had a … reputation. It is, unfortunately, not a good one. Being a purist nation proclaiming the magnificence of the Human race, they are hates among the many nations, with some human nations hating them as well, not to mention other races Nations.
Unfortunately, the adventurers from Taranis shared the same believe of their nations. So, it make it harder for adventurers from Taranis to work together with other adventurers from different races.
Which is a bad thing as two member of the trio were of different races. Quickly, bad blood formed as the adventurer from Taranis looked at the brawny bear Beastkin and slender Elf woman.

Fortunately, the Guild have a policy of expelling those who cause trouble for minor misgiving like being of different races. So, aside from disdainful look, the two did not say anything.
The trio let it go. Having worked with adventurers from Taranis, the best result would be the two accepting any decision as long as it was made by the young man.
So, the young man was forced to be the leader of the expedition, the beastkin and elf pushing the responsibility to him with pointed look.
With a heavy sigh, the young man exclaimed, "Good, the others are waiting for us at the camp." He said with fake cheeriness.

Inside a camp, different adventurers gathered, waiting for the arrival of the S-rankers.
"Sir!" the A-rank adventurers in the camp bowed towards the five. The Adventure Guild might not be a nation, but respect to those stronger than them is still a predominant belief in the organization.
The five nodded as they walked to the table. On it, map of Betrum Nation have been laid out.
"Sir," a wizened man walked forward, being the oldest-looking one from the gathered adventurers. It hard to tell who the oldest with just look, as elves could live way longer than regular human and beastkin, while dwarf could live longer than the two latter but not as long as the former.
"Tell us the detail." The young man said. The wizened man furrow his brows but accepted the arrangement, even though he thought the older one would be leading the expedition.
The wizened man pointed at the map, pointing on a camp figurine.
"We are here, north of Betrum Nation. There are two more large camps, located at both northeast and northwest of the nation." He pointed at two other camp figurine.
"Our numbers and the number of monsters you found during scouting."
At the north camp, where we are, there are 48 A-rank adventurers and 786 B-rank adventurers, with the rest being C-rank." It is the arrangement of the Guild, as D-rank is useless on the ruined nation.
"At the northeast, there are 32 A-rank adventurers and 561 B-rank adventurers. At the northwest, there are 33 A-rank, and 589 B-rank."
The young man nodded. The number should be enough to handle the vast number of monsters, except, the numbers could increase even further during the two months.
Though, with the arrival of 5 S-rank adventurers, the possible increase in monsters would not be too dangerous to dealt with. At least, that were the hope of the Adventure Guild.
The young man nodded before putting a hand on the north camp, "I will lead the northern camp. The northeast will be handled by our two fine gentlemen over there," he pointed at the two S-rank adventurers from Taranis Kingdom, "and the northwest would be handled by the pair over there."
The wizened man raised his brows, before seeing a subtle look from the young man, one that was looking at the bad-
