Chapter 193 -194 The Dawn Mage Tower Opens…

June 2nd.

A piece of news had the Dawn City boiling over.

The Crimson Mage Tower was completed and opened today.

The Great Kachar City Lord was to personally attend the completion ceremony.

To the common people of Glory, the three words “Mage Tower” were absolutely sacred and inviolable.

In the eyes of many, the status of the Mage Tower was comparable to a temple possessing the Divine.

...

Mysterious, powerful, dignified, magical, wealthy, influential, and so forth

These adjectives represented the truest thoughts of the commoners towards the Mage Tower.

If one were to debate which profession was the most powerful in Glory, opinions might differ—Dragon Knight, Mage, Temple Knight, Bloodline Warrior, and others could all potentially be ranked first.

But if one were to ask what profession the commoners of Glory most aspired to become,

There was no doubt, there was only one: Mage.

In a world of magic, the status of a Mage was equivalent to that of the Nobles, and yet a Mage possessed far greater power than any noble.

Everyone yearned to be an elegant gentleman, a debonair Mage Lord capable of casting magic at will.

Hence, when the Crimson Mage Tower was completed, all the residents of Dawn City were stirred.

For the Kachar City Lord had promised them that their children would have the opportunity to become apprentices in the Mage Tower and ascend to the lofty status of Mage Lords.

And the Great Kachar City Lord had never deceived them, never!!!

People hurried to spread the news, hope filling everyone’s eyes.

Although it didn’t mean their children necessarily possessed the Talent to be selected, it represented hope.

Whether or not one could be selected was one matter; having a choice was another.

Over the next few days, the spirits of the believers within the Dawn Sect surged once more.

For His Excellency Kachar had fulfilled his promises time and again, distributing houses, allocating land, constructing the Mage Tower—all of these accomplishments filled the residents with immense satisfaction and pride.

Lide was naturally pleased with this since everything in Dawn City was his private property… whether they were Bloodline or humans.

Hence, he would continue to implement more policies to develop and expand his private properties. Who would mind if the sheep in the pen were fed until plump?

Approaching dusk, on the outskirts of the southern district of Dawn City—the newly established Moonlight District, built upon the Moonlight Plain was mostly grassland, but this did not diminish its status in the hearts of Dawn City’s residents.

For here stood a monumental construction—the Crimson Mage Tower.

New novel 𝓬hapters are published on ƒreewebɳovel.com.

The construction of the Crimson Mage Tower from inception to completion involved over 500 human construction workers and more than a hundred Bloodline workers daily, even reaching a peak when 2,000 civilians, along with six or seven One-eyed Giants, worked on the site simultaneously.

Such costly efforts spent over half a year and used up 60,000 Gold Pucks to be finally completed.

A massive building had come into existence.

Lide stood in front of the main entrance of the Crimson Mage Tower; even having seen the grandeur of the White Tower, he couldn’t help but marvel at his own Mage Tower.

Magnificent and spectacular.

The Crimson Mage Tower consisted of one Main Tower and eight auxiliary towers.

The Main Tower stood twenty-seven blades high, comprising seven levels, with a square spire top and a circular body, covering an area Lide estimated to be ten times that of another famous Mage Tower.

It was even rounder by three circles when compared to Spark’s White Tower, belonging to the 19th level Great Mage.

The exterior walls of the round tower were smeared with black alchemy paint, a recipe Emi had obtained from inside the Knight Temple. These exterior wall coatings alone had cost Lide 20,000 Gold Pucks.

Of course, the effects were quite apparent as the concentration and activity of Magic Power within the Mage Tower were more than five times that of the outside world, making meditation and Magic Power training in the Mage Tower countless times stronger than outside.

The remaining eight subsidiary towers each stood 15 blades tall, with five levels, and covered twice the ground area of the Crimson Mage Tower, albeit slightly shorter in height.

The subsidiary towers were about three hundred blades away from the Main Tower, encircling it in the center from eight directions like stars around the moon.

Surprisingly, the eight subsidiary towers were not coated with the black alchemy paint but were other colors instead.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet—like a rainbow, they presented seven different colors, with only the subsidiary tower in the center of the Mage Tower’s main gate matching the Main Tower’s black color.

The Mage Tower cluster, resembling a rainbow, carried a mysterious yet somewhat ethereal beauty, very much to Lide’s taste.

The Dawn Mage Tower cluster was isolated by towering blue walls, constructed from blue stones that the One-eyed Giant had transported from nearby mountains, some of which were as tall as three blades and weighed more than ten tons.

The walls stood five blades tall and, it was said, involved all of the Magic Language Bats, One-eyed Giants, and the Bloodline, taking a whole half month to complete.

The engineering effort was no less significant than that of the Mage Tower’s subsidiary towers.

The ground was paved with blue stones, and, thanks to the presence of magic, processing the blue stones was not very difficult, resulting in a smooth and even surface.

To enter the inside of the Mage Tower, one could only go through the black subsidiary tower at the front, with the towering walls enclosing the entire Mage Tower, only the middle recessed part connecting to the black subsidiary tower.

The black subsidiary gate was nine blades wide and six blades tall, allowing even a One-eyed Giant to enter.

From a distance, as one approached the black subsidiary tower, the towering Main Tower could no longer be seen, but from the magnificence of the subsidiary tower alone, it was evident just how vast the Dawn Mage Tower cluster really was.

Lide stepped up onto the stage early prepared, as residents always looked forward to his speeches on significant occasions.

All the residents had gathered today, curiously surveying the Mage Tower, and upon seeing Lide step onto the stage, immediately burst into fervent cheers.

“My people, I am your City Lord, Kachar.”

Each time he started his speech, Lide could stir up the crowd below.

“I promised you all, on the day you arrived in Dawn City,

that in the future, Dawn City would build a Mage Tower, would establish a school,

and every resident of Dawn City would one day have the opportunity to send your children to learn in the Mage Tower and the school.”

“Today, the Dawn Mage Tower has been completed!

My people, cheer~

I have built the future for all of you!!”

The crowd below could no longer contain their inner excitement and began clapping and cheering frantically.

“Long live His Majesty Kachar…”

“Long live the Kachar City Lord…”

“…”

All eyes were filled with deep respect, especially the believers of the Dawn Sect, who were brimming with fanaticism.

He was their great Majesty, a walking True God on earth, guiding them from the darkness into the light!

“The Dawn Mage Tower will be open for visits for three days, after which we will officially start recruiting Mage Apprentices.

Any youth of the appropriate age can be brought to the Dawn Mage Tower for talent assessment, and once qualified, they can enroll for free to become apprentices of the Dawn Mage Tower!”

With a grand gesture, Lide heralded a new chapter for Dawn City.
