Chapter 443: Perfect spy
Lilith gave a sigh when she heard this without actually saying anything in response to the fairy.
After another long silence from her, she finally said, "You can see the condition that I’m in, so there’s no point in you following me."
When the fairy looked like it wanted to say something, Lilith stopped her by raising a hand before continuing, "That doesn’t mean that I don’t understand what you are saying and your devotion. As such, I have another proposal."
Lilith turned to look at me and even pointed at me as she said, "For now, serve him."
"Huh?" The fairy looked shocked to hear this before she turned to glare at me.
The way that she glared at me made it very clear that she didn’t like me or even trust me for anything.
Still, I didn’t say anything as I waited to see what Lilith had to say.
"Even if you don’t like it, he’s the one that’s contracted to me. This isn’t something that can be broken, so it’s something that you have to accept. Since he’s contracted to me, you can even say that he is the Fairy King."
The expression that appeared on the face of the fairy looked like it would rather die than accept this, but there really wasn’t anything that the fairy could say about this.
After all, the one that said it was Lilith.
If it was anyone else who said this, then she might have gone against them.
It was just that the way that she looked at Lilith was more than enough to show how she felt about her and how much respect she had. As such, she really couldn’t do anything to her...
After thinking about it, the fairy still had that same unwilling look on her face, but she still floated over to where I was standing.
Floating there in front of me, it said, "I’ll follow your orders for now."
It really seemed like it wanted to hit my face with the way that it looked at me, so it was quite impressive that it was able to hold this feeling back in the end.
But the fairy also suddenly came forward and said in a soft voice, "Just you wait. I don’t know what you’ve done to her majesty, but I will expose you in front of her."
I couldn’t help revealing a faint smile when I heard this, but I didn’t say anything in the end.
Lilith was the one that saved me and gave me this power after all.
If there was one person that I trusted without any hesitation, then it would be her.
"What can you do?" I asked the fairy instead of addressing what she had said to me just now.
The fairy seemed surprised that I changed the topic like this, but then it said, "There’s all kinds of things that I can do. Don’t let your jaw drop from surprise when you hear about all the things that I can do."
It even puffed out its small chest as if it was showing off.
I couldn’t help shaking my head with a faint smile when I saw the fairy like this, but I didn’t say anything as I waited for it to show what it could do.
The fairy didn’t actually show me anything in the end.
All the fairy did was look around the room as if it was looking for something. Then all of a sudden, it pointed in one direction and asked, "Are you familiar with the people living there?"
Seeing that it was pointing up, I slowly gave a nod.
The fairy didn’t say anything else as it suddenly flew up.
When it seemed like it was about to hit the ceiling, there was a light that came from the fairy’s body. It was as if something was about to happen with the fairy as it came into contact with the wall.
Only there was nothing that happened.
That was because there was no contact made when the fairy hit the ceiling.
It was as if the fairy didn’t have a physical form with how it went right through the ceiling and disappeared without a trace.
It didn’t take long before the fairy came down with a strange look on its face.
"What is it? What did you see?"
"Well, there’s some strange people living above you...One of them seems to have your picture on what seems to be an altar in their closet." The fairy said in a very awkward voice.
That caused a bitter smile to appear on my face.
There was no need to guess to know who it was that had this since there was only one person that I was that close with up there. Only I didn’t expect her to actually go as far as having a shrine in her closet like this...
Still, this showed me what the fairy was capable of and it made sense.
Earlier, I wouldn’t have noticed the fairy either if it wasn’t for my time stop ability.
The way that the fairy was able to hide itself and even go through walls really made it the perfect spy.
I didn’t really have anything for the fairy right now, but there was no doubt that there would be ways to use the fairy in the future.
"Alright, I’m going to bed now." I said after seeing what the fairy was capable of.
"What about me? Are you really going to not prepare anything for me?" I couldn’t help revealing a bitter smile when I heard what the fairy said.
Before this, the fairy didn’t have a problem just sleeping wherever it wanted...
But now...it was even making demand since I could see it.
"What do you want?"
"Well, a bed would be nice. I’ve seen your human beds and I have to admit that they’re quite good and soft. I wouldn’t mind sleeping on one of those."
As it said this, I could see that the fairy was looking at my bed.
But in the end, I pulled out one of the doll beds that I had prepared for Lilith.
It didn’t seem like the fairy was happy about this until it saw that it had the same bed as Lilith.
Once it saw that, there were no complaints. It was even as if the fairy forgot that I was there.
I shook my head with one more bitter smile before going back to bed.
