Chapter 1663: Chapter 916: Members of the Morlock Temple?

Cyrus City, Mercenary Guild,

Under the disbelieving eyes of the crowd, Lis instantaneously controlled the three assassins who attacked Hanna.

This was a tremendous shock to the mercenaries who were just watching the commotion.

The power of those three assassins’ attack was visible to all.

Clearly, these three were undeniably powerful figures.

Not to mention a sudden attack, even in direct combat, none among them would stand a chance against any of these three.

Such high-level figures are exceedingly rare in Cyrus City.

Yet now, there are three here simultaneously.

But since these three are so formidable, just how powerful must this young man who subdued them with ease be?

This was something unimaginable to them!

All at once, the crowd that had gathered to watch the commotion quieted down involuntarily.

Even the few mercenaries who were jeering just now quietly turned away, not daring to linger here any longer.

At the same time, one mercenary suddenly noticed something, looking extremely shocked at the warrior with a heavy sword controlled by Lis.

"Isn’t that Malcolm?"

"Who?"

His companion asked in confusion.

"Don’t you remember, the one from five years ago!"

"I’ve remembered, you mean that Malcolm... but didn’t he join the Morlock Temple five years ago?"

"How could he be here?!!"

The voices of these two were heard by the surrounding mercenaries, who also noticed the person controlled by Lis, looking somewhat dejected.

Malcolm received an invitation from the Morlock Temple five years ago, being the only successful mercenary in Cyrus City in recent years.

This caused a sensation within the Cyrus Mercenary Guild, with many even idolizing Malcolm.

But now, their idol was directly subdued by Lis, which indeed shattered many people’s worldview further.

Has the world gone mad?

The Morlock Temple is the Holy Land in their hearts, only those strong might receive an invitation from it.

Yet now, members of the temple joined forces to attack a little girl but were cleanly and swiftly defeated.

Who could have imagined such a thing happening before?

While the watching mercenaries whispered among themselves, Lis also heard their discussions.

Members of the Morlock Temple?

Lis looked at the three before him, controlled by him, taking note.

So, the Saelor Kingdom didn’t continue hunting Hanna but reported this to the Morlock Temple?

And since Hanna entered the Saelor Kingdom’s territory, the Morlock Temple directly sent people here?

If so, then these three should all be members of the Morlock Temple.

Although Lis captured these few individuals the moment they made a move, it doesn’t mean their prowess is lacking.

Though not worth mentioning to Lis, they’re much stronger than Theodore.

This indicates that the strength of the Morlock Temple is probably decent.

Incidentally, Lis was fretting about finding the Morlock Temple!

These individuals delivered themselves directly.

This was indeed good news for Lis.

Isn’t this intelligence delivered to him?

Realizing this, Lis didn’t stay but prepared to turn and leave the Mercenary Guild.

At this moment, a servant from the Mercenary Guild hurried over, respectfully saying to Lis:

"This dear sir, we’re so sorry for such a thing occurring at the Mercenary Guild. The Mercenary Guild extends its sincere apologies to you."

"Is there any way we could assist you?"

"Oh, it’s nothing."

Lis waved it off, not paying attention he said.

He initially came to the Mercenary Guild intending to meet the Guild Leader.

He thought the Guild Leader should know more about the Morlock Temple.

And now, Morlock Temple people delivered themselves.

So, it wasn’t necessary for Lis to meet the Guild Leader anymore.

Lis intended to find a place to "communicate" well with these individuals, to see if these three could "voluntarily" provide him with information on Morlock Temple.

Upon hearing Lis, the servant before him couldn’t hide her panic, hurriedly and respectfully saying;

"It is our responsibility for such events to occur at the Mercenary Guild, could you hand these three assassins to us for handling?"

"The Mercenary Guild will give you a satisfactory answer, and any other compensations are absolutely fine."

"Oh?"

Lis looked at the servant before him with interest.

Wanting to take people from him?

Originally Lis didn’t think this was related to the Mercenary Guild, as their aim was to kill Hanna and Turner, descendants of the Grant family.

Coincidence could easily explain it happening at the Mercenary Guild.

But now, does the Mercenary Guild have another involvement?

Can’t be simply because Malcolm once was part of the guild, wanting to protect him, right?

"Sorry, I still prefer to handle such matters personally."

Lis said with a smile, then waved his hand.

Those three controlled assassins slowly floated, moving behind Lis.

"Let’s go."

Lis said to Theodore and Hanna and others.

"Alright."

Theodore nodded repeatedly, directly picking up Hanna and Turner.
