Chapter 463: Chapter 310: A Bountiful Harvest

In just a few moments, Su Ze had dealt with four Venerable Powerhouses from the Evolution Divine Teachings. Although he had only just ascended to the Venerable level, his strength already placed him among the stronger experts of the same rank.

However, several factors had contributed to his ability to crush and annihilate these four Venerable Powerhouses so decisively.

First, he’d gotten lucky. Although there were supposedly four Venerable Powerhouses, the Spiritual Venerable hadn’t put any pressure on Su Ze at all.

Second, Mr. Ya had also been a great help; the victory wasn’t Su Ze’s achievement alone.

Furthermore, after killing a previous opponent, his Bloodthirsty skill had significantly boosted his strength, creating a snowball effect.

But a win was a win, and there was no need to be modest. Su Ze was confident that if he went back, upgraded all his skills, and absorbed a suitable tube of extract, he could have defeated those four on his own, even without Mr. Ya’s help.

Huh...

Su Ze was surprised to discover that after killing three of them, his Bloodthirsty skill had again extracted a small amount of high-level, unconvertible energy from their bodies.

This time, it was the same white energy he had previously extracted from the eyeball on the face of that Archbishop from the Evolution Divine Teachings.

Golden energy could rapidly digest Evolutionary Material.

Silver-gray Energy could strengthen his constitution and increase his physical size.

And the white energy’s function was to enhance Spiritual Power.

Su Ze absorbed the white energy without hesitation and felt a considerable boost in his Spiritual Power.

’Can this white energy be extracted from all Venerable-level evolvers, or only from the experts of the Evolution Divine Teachings?’

With no point of comparison, Su Ze couldn’t be sure.

He didn’t dwell on it, though. He wasn’t about to start hunting Venerable Powerhouses just for a slight boost to his Spiritual Power.

With the enemies defeated, it was time to collect the spoils. Su Ze and Mr. Ya quickly gathered the storage items and other valuables from the four bodies.

This wasn’t the time to take stock of their loot. The commotion from the battle had been huge and might attract more people. Plus, there was no guarantee the Evolution Divine Teachings hadn’t sent other pursuers.

The two of them took the refugees and continued toward the Great Desert Kingdom.

...

Su Ze and Mr. Ya had only been traveling for about fifteen minutes when three streaks of cyan light shot toward them from the distance, tearing through the sky.

Su Ze extended his Perception Tentacles and, upon identifying the newcomers, let out a sigh of relief.

The one leading the charge was none other than Chen Suifeng. Though Su Ze didn’t recognize the two men following him, he was certain they were allies—Venerable Powerhouses from the Blue Star Party.

The three streaks of cyan light abruptly slowed, then gently landed in front of Su Ze.

Chen Suifeng’s gaze swept over Su Ze and Mr. Ya, then over to the twenty-some refugees huddled in the transport vehicle. A look of delight appeared on his face.

"It’s great to see you’re all right. I set out this way the moment I got your call. I’m glad I managed to meet up with you before the Evolution Divine Teachings did."

Su Ze cleared his throat. "Actually, we’ve already run into experts from the Evolution Divine Teachings."

Chen Suifeng and the other two were taken aback. A middle-aged man behind him asked curiously, "How many people did the Evolution Divine Teachings send to intercept you? They were in a hurry, so they couldn’t have dispatched too many experts, right?"

"Not many, just four," Su Ze said with a nod. He paused intentionally. Seeing the ’as-expected’ look on their faces, he continued, "Just four Venerable Powerhouses."

Su Ze observed the three of them, particularly Chen Suifeng’s expression. ’Time to be shocked!’

’What was the point of such a badass achievement if he couldn’t show it off? It’d be like wearing fine clothes in the dark.’

But in the end, the three of them just looked a little dazed. Then, the two men behind Chen Suifeng showed expressions of doubt and said in unison, "Four Venerable Powerhouses? Are you sure?" They thought Su Ze had misspoken.

Only Chen Suifeng frowned. He glanced at the impassive Mr. Ya, then turned back to size up Su Ze from head to toe. "You’ve reached the Venerable rank?" he asked, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

Su Ze nodded and said modestly, "I was lucky enough to evolve successfully."

With that, he proactively flared his cyan evolutionary light.

This time, Su Ze got his wish. He saw the whole series of standard-issue shock reactions on their faces—widening eyes, sharp intakes of breath—and only then did he look away, satisfied.

And they had every reason to be shocked. An eighteen-year-old Venerable Powerhouse was simply absurd!

If word of this got out, the entire population of Blue Star would be left in stunned disbelief.

After a long moment, the three of them finally calmed down and accepted the incredible fact.

It was then that the attitude of the two Venerable Powerhouses behind Chen Suifeng became noticeably more courteous toward Su Ze.

No matter how much of a genius Su Ze had been before, he was only a Saint-level Overlord—a full rank below them and a junior in age.

But now that Su Ze was a Venerable Powerhouse, he was their equal. And in terms of potential, he utterly eclipsed them.

They no longer had the right to put on the airs of a senior in front of him.

A look of heartfelt joy appeared on Chen Suifeng’s face. He had always said that Su Ze was their hope.

And now, with Su Ze’s rapid growth, that once-faint flame of hope was burning brighter than ever in his eyes.

He couldn’t help but feel a little wistful. He recalled meeting Su Ze for the first time less than a year ago. Back then, Su Ze had just won the exchange tournament for the top academies of the Six Nations and had only recently completed his third evolution.

Only a few months had passed, and Su Ze’s evolutionary level had already caught up to his own.

For the first time, Chen Suifeng, who had always felt young at heart, felt old.

"So..." One of the men behind Chen Suifeng swallowed hard. "The Evolution Divine Teachings really sent four Venerable Powerhouses to intercept you?"
