Chapter 780: Chapter 396: Beast Punishment (Part 2)

After all, he still possessed Moterra’s blessing, and held Holy Water in his hands. Fisher might look arrogantly wild, but during that brief exchange just now, the energy possessing his body had already been eaten away a small portion.

He held the power to kill Fisher; it was only a matter of spending a bit more effort.

But... was this the very possession energy he’d used to speed-kill Wolf, the captain of Gray Wolf’s Fang?

Even with Luna’s intel indicating that killing Wolf in such a short time was highly probable, he still felt puzzled.

The aura of the transformed Fisher before him at best had reached the peak Level 10 strength, and didn’t give him that strong a sense of threat.

Even if in this state he might indeed be stronger than Wolf the Warrior, to kill a Level 10 Warrior in just a few dozen seconds, and almost without giving Wolf any chance to resist, peak Level 10 strength was clearly not enough.

No matter how you look at it, you’d at least have to reach the Extraordinary stage.

For example, take himself: if he went all out, a quick kill on Wolf was possible.

So, was Fisher still hiding some special trump card?

Gauss activated the power of the [Dragon Blood] within his body.

Instinct told him that the Racial Talent [Tier Two Ghost Transformation] didn’t seem to have any suppressive effect on the current Fisher.

Fortunately, his methods now were highly diversified. Whether it was the furnace-like power of [Dragon Blood], his body blessed by Moterra, the Holy Water, or the Racial Talent [Demonic Hour], all of them could restrain the opponent.

This was one of the terrifying aspects of Gauss’s current strength.

He was overly comprehensive, almost without any weaknesses. No matter what kind of enemy, he could nearly always find targeted and appropriate methods to deal with them. For the vast majority of Adventurers, this was inconceivable.

"Water Manipulation."

He cast Magic, recalling the Holy Water.

Although Fisher, sent flying, could feel the power in his body, far stronger than in his normal state, and was a bit carried away, the moment he saw the deep-blue glow of water flowing around Gauss, a subconscious flicker of fear flashed deep in his eyes.

Deep within those streams, there truly lurked a vicious power that seemed capable of grinding away the Divine Power in his body.

Luckily, he hadn’t acted rashly before. Now he had already mastered that Divine Art!

It was precisely by relying on that one technique that he’d so easily killed that Wolf, who couldn’t read the situation.

Seeing Gauss’s body flicker with blue light, he knew the other side had used the Spatial Magic mentioned in the intel.

He’s coming!

His heart tightened.

In the next instant, the rapidly flickering Gauss had already appeared not far in front of him!

And the blue-golden water spear in his hand had condensed into a shape similar to a slender Knight’s lance, thrusting forward as he stepped in.

The tip of that blue-golden Knight’s lance burst forth with razor-edged killing intent in an instant.

"Puff!"

The sharp lance drove straight into his head, precisely striking a certain core of mental energy condensed in his brain.

The core exploded, then slowly recompressed and condensed in another location.

"Too weak! Too weak!"

"In my current state, I can’t be killed!"

Fisher, with his skull pierced through, was still eerily chanting.

Gauss of course knew he was just bluffing. The lance tip’s natural Divine Power had already erupted, constantly eroding the evil energy lodged within his body.

As long as that was completely obliterated, his supposedly undying body would return to mere flesh and blood.

His eyes locked tight on Fisher.

He realized Fisher seemed to be preparing some kind of Magic.

Though he didn’t know exactly what the effect would be, whatever the enemy wanted to accomplish was precisely what he needed to stop.

He chanted in Dragon Tongue while Casting an upgraded Magic Missile, colliding in midair with the dark energy bolts Fisher was unleashing, and at the same time continued to use the portal of Spatial Magic to rapidly close in on the constantly retreating Fisher.

The Fisher before him was indeed much stronger than a normal Caster. At the very least, he seemed capable of maintaining extremely fast Casting even while wounded and under various abnormal conditions.

"Magic Counter!"

He spat out a Spell, using the power of [Precision]. The Magic Effect descended swiftly and accurately onto Fisher, but unfortunately, right as it activated, it was instantly blocked by that surge of evil power.

When he wanted to stab out with the lance again to pierce the newly reformed core of energy in Fisher’s skull, Fisher’s triumphant laughter suddenly rang beside his ears.

In that moment, Gauss knew the biggest card Fisher held in his hand might already have been played.

The surging Dragon Blood in his body was constantly pumped to every corner of him by that dragon heart like a blood pump; Gauss’s body grew as scorching as flames.

This mighty power was enough to drive back the vast majority of evil energies.

This was the strength of the Giant Dragon as a Legendary Race.

In the Material Realm, a powerful ancient dragon could even reach the point of fearing no gods.

Gauss’s Dragon Blood Talent was obviously not on the level of an ancient dragon, but the Fisher before him was only an evil servant.

"Cursed Divine Art, Beast Punishment!"

For some reason, Gauss seemed to hear a certain voice by his ear.

Time appeared to freeze in that instant.

Then his vision went black.

Very soon, he saw countless figures appear by his side.

"This is..."

Gauss’s body suddenly stiffened in midair. Around him, some invisible yet overwhelming shackles seemed to manifest, layer upon layer wrapping around his body, binding him tight.

And in the near distance, looking at the motionless Gauss, Fisher finally let a triumphant smile spread across his face.
