Chapter 198: Chapter 163: You Want to Fight, Too?

As the words fell, the Knights of the Secret Order moved to surround them.

Reinhardt watched everything unfold, his expression impassive. The stooped, emaciated figure, whose Knight Power emanated an ominous aura, was none other than Robbie Hiling, the Imperial Judge.

Even though his Knight Power was only at the Two-star Military Rank Level of an Earth Knight, the disdain he displayed showed he couldn’t care less about Slaughterer Dane’s threat.

He turned his head, his gaze sweeping past the Transcendents who were swarming toward Reinhardt’s group.

Robbie cracked a sickly grin, revealing black and yellow decaying teeth. He stared into Reinhardt’s eyes from across the distance, as if to say, ’This is just the beginning for us, old friend.’

Reinhardt smiled back.

Even with a great battle imminent and hundreds of Transcendents charging at him, he removed his helmet, his gaze unwavering as he locked eyes with Robbie’s sickly pupils—so unbecoming of an Imperial Knight.

’My lord, they’re coming.’

Just as Raphael’s voice echoed in his mind, a crimson mist of blood began to swirl around Reinhardt, forming and popping like broken bubbles of all sizes.

Then, the rising Flame of Blood Fury, like the furiously burning blood of his enemies, engulfed the Black War Axe, unleashing an unparalleled and terrifying aura!

He had activated his Second Mighty Power, Bloodthirsty Madness, and awakened his Blood Fury War Axe.

At that moment, the Wizards skilled in Spiritual Energy could vaguely perceive the terrified wails of the souls who had died gruesome deaths by that very War Axe!

Even though Reinhardt’s Destructive Suppression was still nascent, the bloody, murderous Knightly Aura it contained was a terror unlike anything the attacking Transcendents had ever witnessed.

This horrifying aura formed an invisible wall of pressure, bringing the Transcendents’ charge to a dead stop.

They stopped in their tracks, one after another, the horror on their faces palpable. Merely brushing against this utterly terrifying Knightly Aura was enough to conjure illusions in their minds.

It was as if they were no longer in the depths of the Kemola Tomb, but on a vast battlefield built from mountains of corpses and seas of blood.

As the crimson Flame of Blood Fury, symbolizing the Divine Emperor’s wrath, began to burn within Reinhardt’s pupils, it wasn’t just the enemy Transcendents who stopped in terror.

The members of the Vengeance Angel Squad finally understood why Raphael had recorded Reinhardt’s existence in the Angel Holy Scripture.

They understood why Verne’s million-strong Defense Army and tens of millions of metropolitan faithful called him the Emperor’s Vengeful Angel.

And when Technician Soldier Agate detected the supreme blessing from Avernus hidden deep within Reinhardt’s Extraordinary Power, his Mechanical Eye began to twitch uncontrollably.

’Chosen by the Emperor, blessed by Avernus... even his armor and weapons are favored by the God of All Machines.’

’The Mighty Power of three gods, all converged in one man.’

’The Vengeance Angel project... Reinhardt, just what are you...?’

At that moment, the very soul of the four-hundred-year-old veteran reeled in shock.

As for the Wizard serving Grand Lord Kles, he had already been astonished that Reinhardt could kill Logan, the wielder of the Eye of the Great Demon.

But now, his perpetually calm and detached expression finally broke. His gaze, fixed on Reinhardt, grew heavy and grave.

The instant Reinhardt’s figure vanished, a thunderous crash erupted from within the ranks of the besieging Transcendents.

Then, to the absolute horror of all who watched, Reinhardt nonchalantly pulled the corpse of a Tier One Mage from the blade of his Black War Axe as if he were yanking off a scrap of cloth.

The Mage, his chest and organs utterly pulverized by the War Axe, was somehow still breathing. His eyes were wide with terror, and his limbs twitched uncontrollably as his muscles spasmed.

The warning before the attack had been the last chance Reinhardt, as an Imperial Knight, would give these freelancers.

Just as Reinhardt charged into the crowd alone, a Free Knight, relying on his Knight’s Treasure to remain hidden, attempted a sneak attack from behind. But the very moment his dagger emerged from the shadows, Reinhardt spun. His massive, Power Armor-clad hand clamped down on the Knight’s wrist. His other hand plunged into the shadows, brutally gripped the man’s neck, and hoisted him into the air.

Eyes blazing with the Flame of Blood Fury, Reinhardt stared down at the Official Knight, a mere Six-star Military Rank in strength.

A slightly hoarse, iron-hard voice rang out through the crowd.

"You wanted to fight, too?"

In that moment, the low voice sounded like the death sentence delivered by an Emperor’s Angel.

Matthias appeared like a ghost behind a Master Level Tier One Mage. His Knight Power effortlessly shattered the man’s Energy Protection Force Field as his dagger plunged mercilessly up through the jaw and into the brain, a single, fatal blow.

Manon roared. His Guardian Barrier · Cyan Gold Rune instantly enveloped his body. A Mighty Shield Tower materialized on his left arm while he gripped his Knight’s Broadsword in his right. He was like a gleaming golden chariot, smashing into the crowd with a howl.

His Knight Power was unlike that of Guardian Knights who specialized in defense. The power of the Cyan Gold Rune, much like a Destruction Force Field, amplified the strength of his flesh and bone. While it lacked the wide coverage of a Destruction Force Field, the boost to his combat prowess was still immense.

At a critical moment, the Cyan Gold Rune could also form the Shield Tower, capable of withstanding a direct hit from an Earth Knight Level attack without shattering.

Manon’s only weakness was his lack of mobility on the battlefield.

By contrast, Agate’s Extraordinary Power made him a walking war machine. His Thermite Beams—a Knight Power augmented by Witchcraft Technology—inflicted a simple, unadorned, yet terrifyingly abnormal form of destruction that deconstructed matter itself.

It was far beyond what ordinary Extraordinary Powers could withstand.

Even an Earth Knight of Reinhardt’s caliber would be grievously wounded, if not killed, were he to take a direct salvo from the Thermite Beams without dodging.

As for Raphael, who had been attacked from the outset and treated like prey by these freelancers and Interstellar Pirates, he was already simmering with rage.

He was known for his mercy, but that mercy never extended to his enemies.

Mind Release.

This was another powerful Mind Magic he had mastered during his years of study with a high-level Think Tank, with a destructive force that made Mind Storm seem trivial by comparison.

Once he entered the state of Mind Release, he could channel the Void Realm essence of his soul to destroy any being within his perception whose mental fortitude was less than his own—all with a single thought.

Life and death, decided in an instant.

And this was merely the tip of the iceberg when it came to the terrifying power of a Mind Mage.

At that very moment, the depths of the tomb complex suddenly began to tremble. The sound of machinery echoed like thunder as the great door to the burial chamber—the one leading to the Saint’s Remains and the Ancient Black Box—finally began to rise.
