Chapter 125: Chapter 95: Hidden Technology, Blood Fury War Axe! A Formidable Enemy Attacks

To flaunt their superior status, noble officers wore exceptionally ornate clothing and armor. This one’s silver-white armor was inlaid with golden olive leaf decorations, and his crimson inner lining stood in stark contrast to the Mortal Soldiers.

He especially liked to stand in high places, cracking his leather whip with an air of arrogance.

But on a battlefield that was a veritable meat grinder, such actions were tantamount to suicide.

Decapitation strikes were simple and crude, but effective.

The moment Reinhardt arrived on the Steel Bridge Corridor, he noticed the lavishly dressed mortal officer, but he was still uncertain of his rank.

Until he pulled out the Radiant Beacon.

The Reinhardt of today was no longer the Transmigrator reincarnated into Grillers World, nor the half-native who had fled famine for eight years and nearly starved to death.

From his contact and conversations with Governor Ullrich, he had learned a great deal of useful knowledge.

The Radiant Beacon had always been an Ancient Magic creation under the Empire’s strict control. It was incredibly valuable, and in the armies of mortals, only high-level commanders were qualified to be issued one.

Imperial Technology, truly extraordinary.

Ruthless Iron Hand. That was the name Reinhardt had given to the Combat Technique for his Spring-Loaded Chain Axe Handle, an Imperial Technology. The Combat Technique of a Divine King.

A dull, resonant THUMP echoed as the chain sprang back.

His methods were swift and thunderous.

Reinhardt seized the noble officer by the neck and held him up. The Mortal Soldiers, finally reacting, tried to rush forward and save their commander.

But the bloody aura emanating from his Knight Power was almost tangible!

It was an absolute, soul-deep dread of death!

Just to let their eyes fall upon Reinhardt required immense courage, let alone charge him.

Even for the hardened veterans of the Raider Auxiliary Army, men who had survived one grand war after another, the longer they stared at Reinhardt, the more an irrepressible fear grew in their hearts!

It was as if they were facing a Fear Knight from the Dark Abyss.

In this world, the blessings of the Four Gods and the Divine Emperor not only truly existed, but they also manifested in different forms.

Altering bloodlines and bodies.

Bestowing Divine Artifacts.

Or, directly granting the supreme Mighty Power of a Divine Spirit.

Reinhardt’s refusal of Avernus’s blessing of Mighty Power didn’t mean those forces were absent from his soul. When they stared at Reinhardt with hostility, the blessing of Avernus—a power from the same source as that of a Fear Knight—was also quietly staring back at them.

The noble officer couldn’t see Reinhardt’s expression, but one glance at the deeply unsettling, ceaselessly writhing, dark purple living matter was enough. His face twisted in utter terror, and he began to struggle frantically, his limbs and body thrashing wildly!

"No, no, no... you can’t kill me! I’m the descendant of a Knight! I’m of the Baze Nobility! I have warehouses full of Radiant Gold Coins! I... I... I..."

His desperate struggles were transmitted through the still-active Radiant Beacon, but the other end was met with only silence.

Reinhardt’s voice was low.

"Tell your Lord, and tell his Demon master, that one day, I will personally twist their heads off and hang them from the Verne Bridge."

After a brief silence, a hoarse voice came from the Radiant Beacon.

"But you won’t live to see that day."

The communication ended.

The noble officer had long since pissed his pants. He humbly begged Reinhardt to spare him, but from beginning to end, Reinhardt never once gave him a direct look.

’A traitor whose bloodline was tainted by a Demon didn’t deserve his mercy.’

As Reinhardt’s right hand tightened...

Immense pressure shot through the noble officer’s skull. His eyes bulged, his face turned crimson, and his limbs flailed painfully in the air.

Until his neck and spine simply exploded! Blood and shredded flesh went flying!

This gory scene was more terrifying than any words or combat maneuvers could ever be! The members of the Raider Auxiliary Army who witnessed it firsthand all had looks of horror on their faces as they stumbled backward.

The earth-shattering war cries drowned out the voices of both Reinhardt and the Radiant Beacon.

A raider knight, like a roaring steel behemoth, leaped high into the air with ferocious intensity, his Knight’s Broadsword crashing down heavily upon Reinhardt’s Black War Axe!

Then, a miniature, nozzle-like Extraordinary Armament extended from his elbow. A flow of high-temperature energy powered his arms, pinning Reinhardt down.

With the strength of a Three-star Military Rank, he could have served as a Tactical Captain in a regular Knight Order—an absolute mainstay of any Knight Battle Group.

Unfortunately for him, he was facing Reinhardt.

Imperial Technology drove the Black War Axe. Its high-frequency oscillating blade forcefully knocked the Knight’s Broadsword aside.

In that brief instant, a jet of high-pressure air propelled Reinhardt forward, and he slammed headfirst into the raider knight’s helmet. The dented faceplate smashed the knight’s nose and knocked out his front teeth.

The War Axe left his hand. Reinhardt kept a tight grip on the handle as the chain extended with a hum.

Before the axe head even hit the ground, he twisted his body, bent his arm at the elbow, and slammed it toward his opponent’s face!

The raider knight’s pupils shrank. Ignoring the tearing pain in his face, he crossed his arms to protect his chest.

BOOM—!

The tremendous force of the elbow strike snapped one of his arms. The shockwave passed through his body, sending him flying backward into the bridge corridor’s steel cables. Blood sprayed from his mouth, seeping out from under his helmet to stain his arms and Chest Armor.

But it wasn’t over yet.

Reinhardt’s figure followed close behind, radiating a suffocating pressure!

The chain snapped back, and the Black War Axe came whistling through the air!

The raider knight tried to fight back. Facing the descending Black War Axe, he let out a hysterical roar, seemingly unwilling to die just like that.
