Chapter 508: Chapter 483: Hands Trembling

"That seems to be a warship of the Dragon Alliance."

Many people saw one of the warships, with dragon flags fluttering, the warship itself structured like a dragon, soaring through the Nine Layer Heaven.

"And there are also warships of the Three Emperors Alliance."

Some looked towards another fleet of ships.

The flags on these ships were embroidered with three figures, extremely similar to the design on the Three Emperors Command.

Apart from the Dragon Alliance and the Three Emperors Alliance, there were also flags of other factions, all top powers from the Origin Continent.

Normally, they would be extremely excited to see these great powers from the Origin Continent, because it meant an opportunity to leave the Wild Ocean.

But now, seeing these forces, everyone felt heavy-hearted, because it meant war.

"The Three Emperors Alliance has arrived."

The expressions of Lu Yan, Shen Yinuo, and Mr. World changed dramatically.

Zhang Shi was not dead, and the arrival of the Three Emperors Alliance’s army on Desolate Land was definitely not good news for them.

"We shouldn’t stay here for long; let’s leave Desolate Land first," suggested Mr. World.

Lu Yan and Shen Yinuo agreed wholeheartedly.

There was no longer time to hunt down members of the Immortal Clan; leaving was the best strategy.

The three of them swiftly flew toward the coastline.

As the army of the Three Emperors Alliance arrived, a figure dashed toward the fleet of the Three Emperors Alliance at great speed.

This figure was none other than Zhang Shi.

"Halt, or you shall be killed without mercy," a cold shout came from one of the warships, as several powerful presences locked onto Zhang Shi.

"Outer Sect Disciple Zhang Shi, at your service," Zhang Shi quickly reported his identity.

"Zhang Shi? Let him in," a deep voice came from within the warship.

"Go ahead," gestured a few soldiers.

"Thank you," Zhang Shi did not dare to be arrogant, bowing repeatedly in gratitude.

Although he acted high and mighty in Desolate Land, in the Three Emperors Alliance, he did not have a high status. He was just an Outer Sect Disciple; despite his talents, his cultivation level was too low.

Those who came to participate in the battle in the Wild Ocean were at least at the level of Immortal Ninth Layer.

That is to say, these soldiers, who seemed like ordinary troops, were at the very least at the level of Immortal Ninth Layer and possibly even at the terrifying strength of the Tao Realm.

After showing his respect, Zhang Shi entered the warship.

The warship was quite spacious, with a pavilion that had a table and a grandmaster’s chair. A burly man about three meters tall was sitting on the grandmaster’s chair, his right palm holding a huge jug of wine, chugging it down noisily.

"Good wine, truly exhilarating, hahaha."

After finishing a jug in one gulp, the burly man laughed heartily, then turned his gaze, sharp as a lion’s or a tiger’s, toward Zhang Shi.

Zhang Shi suddenly felt as if an entire world was pressing down on him, causing him to breathe heavily.

"Disciple Zhang Shi, greets Elder Zhuo," he promptly knelt down, showing his respect.

This Elder Zhuo was a well-known expert within the Three Emperors Alliance, rumored to have reached the second step of the Creator Realm.

Looking across the Origin Continent, he was also considered a first-class powerhouse.

"I remember you Outer Sect Disciples were on a trial in Desolate Land, how come? Are you injured?" Elder Zhuo asked indifferently, a hint of displeasure flashing across his face.

Clearly, the fact that he was injured in a place like Desolate Land displeased Elder Zhuo.

"Elder Zhuo has sharp insight, I am indeed injured, but I was ambushed. Moreover, that person had a complete, highly-ranked Doctrine Soldier, which is why I could not defeat him," Zhang Shi quickly explained.

"Oh? There’s a complete Doctrine Soldier in Desolate Land?" Elder Zhuo showed interest.

"Absolutely true. The man’s name is Lu Yan; not only did he severely injure me, but he also killed Brother Liu Chang and several other brothers. He’s truly detestable," replied Zhang Shi.

"Killed Liu Chang? And his surname is Lu?" Elder Zhuo’s face darkened, and a cold killing intent filled the air.

Liu Chang’s grandfather was also an Elder of the Three Emperors Alliance, and although not as powerful as him, was still a being of the Creator Realm. They had a good relationship on regular days.

Additionally, he despised anyone with the surname Lu, as it reminded him of the Dragon Alliance Master.

The Dragon Alliance, merely an outsider faction, had forced its way through the boundless stars, and violently carved out a vast territory for themselves on the Origin Continent.

And the territories occupied by the Dragon Alliance mostly belonged to the Three Emperors Alliance before.

For tens of thousands of years, the two powers had been at odds with each other, engaging in constant conflict.

"To dare kill a Disciple of the Three Emperors Alliance, what audacity. Lin Chen, Zhao Hu!" Elder Zhuo’s voice called out.

"At your service," two muscular men stepped forward.

"Go with Zhang Shi and bring me Lu Yan’s head," ordered Elder Zhuo.

"As you command," Lin Chen and Zhao Hu accepted the order, and then, with a wave of Lin Chen’s hand, they took Zhang Shi and flew off the warship, heading into the distance.

"Where was your last battle, lead us there," said Lin Chen.

"In the Soldiers’ Tomb, on the north side of Desolate Land..." Zhang Shi promptly indicated the direction.

Lin Chen and Zhao Hu, carrying Zhang Shi, broke through the sky, moving at an unimaginable speed.

"Breaking through the sky, with such speed, they must be in the Tao Realm. Two Tao Realm experts, Lu Yan, let’s see how you die this time," a look of excitement and ferocity gleamed in Zhang Shi’s eyes.

Lin Chen and Zhao Hu were incredibly fast; in just a moment, they had already arrived at the Soldiers’ Tomb, completely ignoring the terrain within and bursting straight in.

Boom!

The terrain within the soldier’s grave erupted, transforming into a battle saber that sliced towards the three of them.

"Just remnants of defeated troops, daring to strike at us, obliterate them."

Zhao Hu spoke domineeringly, throwing a punch.

Boom!

The overpowering force of his punch crushed the saber, shattering the terrain.

They charged through everything with unstoppable momentum, nothing could hinder them, and they quickly arrived at the region of the Five Elements Mountain Range.

Lin Chen stood in the high sky, his gaze sweeping across the Five Elements Mountains, then he reached out with his right hand, catching strands of a special aura from the heavens and the earth in his palm.

"Trace the origin..."

Lin Chen exclaimed in a low voice as the aura in his hand radiated splendid light.

"Retrace..."

Lin Chen murmured again.

Whoosh!

The strands of aura turned into a beam of light that shot skywards, disappearing over the horizon.

"Found it, let’s go."

Lin Chen grabbed Zhang Shi and, along with Zhao Hu, tore through the sky.

Lu Yan, Shen Yinuo, and Mr. World hurried on their journey.

Suddenly, a chill emerged from nowhere within their hearts, sensing a terrifying crisis.

A fearsome powerful entity was in pursuit.

Boom!

The next moment, a horrendous aura descended out of nowhere, locking onto them. Within this aura, they were as if stuck in a mire, moving as slow as snails.

"It’s you, who killed the disciples of the Three Emperors Alliance?"

A stern voice called out from the sky.

The trio noticed, far in the heavens, three figures emerged.

Two mighty men clad in battle armors, escorting a young man—it was Zhang Shi.

The aura of the two mighty men was earth-shaking and immeasurable. In the eyes of Lu Yan and his companions, the two appeared like two insurmountable peaks standing before them, projecting an invincible presence.

In front of them, the rules lay dormant and the Tao swirled.

This was definitely not an aura the Immortal Realm could possess.

"We’re finished."

A thought flashed through their minds.

"Let’s fight them."

Mr. World, holding a formation flag, decided not to flee anymore and stared angrily at Lin Chen and his two companions.

Lu Yan and Shen Yinuo also stopped in their tracks, standing shoulder to shoulder with Mr. World, pushing their powers to the limit.

Even if they couldn’t win, even if there was an enormous gap, the idea of surrender was out of the question.

Even in death, they would fight to the end.

Whoosh, whoosh!

The speed of Lin Chen and his companions was too fast; before their words even finished, they had reached close to Lu Yan and the other two.

But just then, the pupils of Lin Chen and Zhao Hu contracted as if they had seen something extremely terrifying. Their aura fluctuated violently before quickly receding.

The pressure on Lu Yan and the others eased.

"The... Formation Ancestor? The Formation Ancestor of the Dragon Alliance, you... how can you be here?"

Lin Chen stuttered, like a mouse facing a cat.

"Predecessor World..."

Lu Yan and Shen Yinuo were surprised because Lin Chen and Zhao Hu’s gazes were fixed on Mr. World.

The one they feared... was actually Mr. World?

Could it be Mr. World’s master? 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

The two of them shared the same thought.

Lu Yan had heard from Mr. World that when his master created him, he had used himself as a template, not only resembling him in appearance but also in aura.

They had mistaken the identity.

Mr. World had evidently come to the same conclusion.

He tactfully tucked his left hand behind him, his posture straightening a bit more, his face already showing an air of haughtiness.

"People from the Three Emperors Alliance? What’s the matter? Staring at me like that, do you want to kill me?"

As Mr. World spoke, a slight coldness emerged in his eyes.

Lin Chen and Zhao Hu involuntarily cowered, breaking out in a cold sweat on their backs.

Having battled the Dragon Alliance for many years, they were among the upper ranks of the Three Emperors Alliance and naturally knew all too well about some of the Dragon Alliance’s terrifying experts.

The Formation Ancestor of the Dragon Alliance, though not ranked among the top five in terms of cultivation, was undoubtedly the most feared by the disciples of the Three Emperors Alliance.

Because this Formation Ancestor was extremely vindictive, and once offended, it was like being marked for death; he would find all means to seek revenge.

Moreover, the Formation Ancestor’s mastery of formation patterns was unpredictable. Although his cultivation was only at the peak of Creator Realm’s second step, even those who had reached the third step found him a major headache to confront.

To have such a formidable expert here, attacking mere outer disciples of their Three Emperors Alliance?

It seemed far beneath his status.

But considering his pettiness, everything made sense.

"Not at all, not at all, you have misunderstood, predecessor. Just now, we mistook someone else for you, please forgive us,"

Lin Chen hurriedly put on a smiling face, fearing that any displeasure from the Formation Ancestor would earn them a set of formation punishment.

With their cultivation level, they wouldn’t be able to withstand it at all.

Zhang Shi was confounded.

He didn’t understand why these two individuals at the peak of Tao Realm would show such deference to someone not even of the Immortal Fifth Layer.

"But the two predecessors, he’s just Immortal..."

Zhang Shi hastily tried to speak.

"Shut up, if you want to die, don’t drag us down."

Before Zhang Shi could finish, he was sharply interrupted by Lin Chen’s rebuke, his menacing gaze and the tremendous pressure, like the weight of a heavy world, silenced Zhang Shi.

"Mistaken identity? With just such a light statement, you want to shirk responsibility? A moment ago, you charged at us like mad dogs, frightening my two juniors, and you think a simple statement will suffice?"

Putting away the formation flag, Mr. World stood with his hands clasped behind his back, the very image of a peerless master. He spoke indifferently, as if to him, Lin Chen and Zhao Hu were but insignificant ants.

But Lu Yan plainly saw that Mr. World’s hands, hidden behind his back, were trembling slightly.

Fortunately, Lin Chen and Zhao Hu were too frightened to probe with their spiritual sense; otherwise, they would have been exposed instantly.
